Tech Giants: Starting from Bankrupt Companies

218: Chapter 218 The ”Immersive Bombardment” of Intelligent VisionAt 11:00 AM, the press conference approached its conclusion, but the climax continued.

”Phones are portable devices, but what about at home?” Mobile Phone Product Manager said. ”We have reimagined the way we ’see’.”

The first product: VR Smart Glasses, ”Star Pupil Gen 1”.

Display: Dual-eye 4K Micro-OLED

Refresh Rate: 120Hz

Field of View (FOV): 105°

Weight: 180 grams (compared to 503 grams for Oculus Quest 2)

”Gesture recognition precision: Millimeter-level.” Mobile Phone Product Manager took off the glasses. ”This means you can have a 100-inch virtual screen anywhere.”

Price: 5,999 rmb.

The second product: Portable Projector, ”Star Project Gen 1”.

Specifications:

Brightness: 2,000 Lumens (compared to 800 Lumens for similar products)

Built-in Battery Life: 5 hours

Intelligent Calibration: Automatic keystone correction + autofocus

Demonstration: Under the bright lights of the venue, it projected a 100-inch image that remained crystal clear.

Price: 3,999 rmb.

The third product: OLED 4K TV, ”Star Screen Pro”.

Screen: 65-inch, 8 million self-emissive pixels, million-level contrast ratio

chip: Flint 3 TV Edition

AI Picture Quality Engine: Real-time optimization

Price: 32,999 rmb

Simultaneously releasing the 55-inch version: 22,999 rmb

When ”32,999 rmb” appeared, Sony’s Ishida Yoshihisa closed his eyes directly.

He knew that with this price and these specs, Sony’s high-end TV line for this year was finished.

In the Douyin livestream room, the peak online audience reached 8 million people.

Gift effects were so numerous they completely obscured the screen: rockets, sports cars, carnivals... The donation amount received by Spark’s official account exceeded 10 million rmb in half an hour.

The host shouted: ”Thanks to ’I want to buy HX2’ for the ten carnivals! Wait, the system is lagging! Too many gifts are causing lag!”

In the Bilibili tech section, all streamers were rebroadcasting.

The famous uploader ”Hello Teacher, I am He Tongxue” calculated during the stream: ”The comprehensive performance of the HX2 is at least two years ahead of the iPhone X. According to Moore’s Law, this is equivalent to a gap of four product generations. Spark has skipped a grade.”

His livestream chat barrage: ”Spark: Sorry, I skipped a grade.”

In the YouTube English livestream room, the simultaneous interpreter Emily was translating the benchmark data for Flint 3.

When ”CPU multi-core benchmark exceeds 400,000 points” appeared, she blurted out: ”Holy shit!”

Then realizing she was on air, she hurriedly apologized: ”Sorry, I mean... that’s incredible!”

But this ”accident” actually became a classic. Overseas netizens edited it out and added subtitles: ”When the specs are so good the translator loses her mind.”

Twitter Trending List:

#HX2 (12 million discussions)

#StarFireDrones (8 million)

#ShenzhenTechWeek (6 million)

#ChineseTech (5 million)

A certain tech blogger suddenly wailed during his stream: ”I just bought a Samsung S9 yesterday... spent 9,000 yuan... now it’s like a brick! Like a brick!”

This video was made into a meme with the caption: ”When you bought a competitor’s product yesterday.”

At 11:30 AM, before the press conference even ended, the Spark official website had already crashed.

The Technical Director roared in the backend: ”Traffic is 1,000 times higher than usual! The servers can’t take it!”

”Expand capacity! Expand everything!”

”We’re already expanding! But too many people are ordering! The order amount per minute has exceeded 1 billion!”

The large data screen showed in real-time:

10:30-10:45: HX2 pre-order volume exceeded 1 million units

10:45-11:00: Total pre-order amount exceeded 30 billion

11:00-11:15: Official website visits reached 120 million

11:15-11:30: Server crashed 3 times, emergency repairs underway

Finally, the data at the end of the morning session:

HX2 full series pre-order volume: 3.28 million units

Drone pre-orders: 520,000 units

Smartwatch pre-orders: 890,000 units

Total pre-order amount for all products: 51.7 billion rmb

This figure surpassed the global sales of Apple’s iPhone X on its launch day.

The press conference ended, and the audience began to leave.

Li Hao was still sitting in his seat, looking at the Spirit Eye 4 trial unit in his hand—this was a gift given to the audience by the staff.

”So it’s... over?” he murmured.

The American man next to him, Mark, patted his shoulder: ”No, this is just the beginning. Spark redefined consumer electronics in three hours. Over the next six days, they will redefine even more things.”

Li Hao opened his livestream, facing the camera, his voice slightly choked up:

”Brothers, I’m at the scene. I saw those products with my own eyes, touched the HX2, wore the VR glasses, and tested the blood sugar watch.”

He paused, his eyes turning red: ”In my life, I’ve never seen a tech company like this. They aren’t just making products; they are creating the future. And we are witnessing history.”

This livestream was edited and spread, with views exceeding 100 million.

Many people left comments: ”I’m also a tech enthusiast, I understand this feeling.”

Meanwhile, the big shots in the VIP area were leaving quickly.

Apple’s Greg was on the phone as he walked: ”Yes, all the specs are true. I suggest immediately launching ’Project Phoenix’; we need the next-generation chip to hit the market early.”

Samsung’s Koh Dong-jin’s face was still grim, but there was determination in his eyes: ”Notify the research institute to move up all project schedules by half a year. Regardless of the cost.”

Sony’s Ishida Yoshihisa had regained his composure and said to his team: ”Spark is very strong, but TV is not just about specs. Our brand, color tuning, and industrial design still have advantages. Adjust the marketing strategy and emphasize ’Sony Audio-Visual Aesthetics’.”

The most interesting one was DJI’s Da Jiang, who went straight to the backstage and found Zhang Yang, who was being interviewed.

”President Zhang, do you have a moment to talk?”

Zhang Yang finished the interview, and the two shook hands.

”President Wang, I’ve heard much about you.”

”Your imaging technology, especially the AI algorithms, is very impressive,” Da Jiang said, getting straight to the point. ”DJI has the best gimbals and flight control, and Spark has the best image processing. How about a collaboration?”

Zhang Yang smiled: ”We had the same idea. Let’s set a time to talk in detail.”

The hands of the two Chinese tech giants were clasped together, captured by reporters.

The caption for this photo was: ”When the strong meet the strong, they choose cooperation over competition.”

12:00 PM

Outside the convention center, the sun was shining brightly.

Audience members poured out of the venue, their faces glowing with excitement. Many sat directly in the plaza and began discussing the products just released.

In the media area, hundreds of reporters were rushing to finish their drafts.

Global news flashes began to push notifications:

Inside the convention center, staff were already preparing tomorrow’s exhibition area.

The second day would be a special session for power batteries.

But today’s impact was already profound enough.
