Chapter 50, Rapid Development and Food Scarcity

Chapter 50, Rapid Development and Food Scarcity
Albert’s arrival seemed to be a signal, and then Li You’s camp began to usher in a wave of immigrants, and a large number of ”fog wanderers” began to appear from the mist without warning.

But what Li You didn’t expect was that not everyone came to defect or join him.

There are also some people who simply want to rest here and make some deals.

Seeing those people disappear into the mist again after thanking them, countless doubts appeared in Li You’s heart again.

After those people entered the fog, Li You once searched with [Portable Strong Light Searchlight].

It’s like ”disappearing in an instant”, when they enter the mist for a moment, they will disappear without a trace.

”The mist wanderer...can return to the mist?”

”Then those ”looters”...why didn’t they escape back into the mist?”

But Li You was destined to not get an answer to this question.

Regarding the mist and the past... these questions are considered forbidden for all [followers] and [wanderers].

……

Time passed like this in the constant intersection of collecting people and collecting materials.

During this period, Li You even got a [pocket watch] from a passing wanderer, which was also the first timekeeping tool he got.

Before, he learned from those people in the channel to use campfire durability and physical strength to estimate time, but the accuracy was very poor.

Because Li You is not sure...whether he remembers correctly or not.

The supplies brought by the Misty Wanderers are equally diverse, ranging from weapons, clothing, to all kinds of daily necessities.

For the ”mist wanderers” who defected to him, Li You took good care of them.

In just a few days, he had set up more than a dozen [Pioneer Camps] near the [Camp Hotel] where Li You lived.

In addition, Li You even collected materials to build the [Warehouse] and [Small Barracks].

Not to mention the warehouse, it is a single-story building covering an area of more than 300 square meters.

As for the small military camp... the function of this building more or less exceeded Li You’s expectations.

【Small military camp】

Introduction: A small military facility necessary for a pioneer camp. It is mainly used for training soldiers and can also be used as a accommodation area for soldiers.

Area: 2000 square meters

Current capacity: 16/60
Battalion Commander: Tracy Scott
Pioneer Militia: 16

This is almost all the data of Li You’s small military camp.

Like Tracy, these ”soldiers” in his camp can also be edited, but because Li You does not have editing authority, he cannot view specific information.

In today’s camp with a population of more than 50, the military strength of the 16 militias can almost be described as exceeding the standard.

But Li You thought about it and finally agreed with Trish’s ”recruitment suggestion”. Otherwise, he would always be rushed in and robbed by ”Mist Wanderers”... That would be unbearable for anyone.

……

Standing in front of the window of the hotel room, Li You looked at the thriving camp below, and for some reason, a feeling called hope emerged in his heart.

Regardless of what happened before, so many people suddenly poured into the camp... Li You’s side suddenly became lively.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of a busy city, the invisible pressure brought by the deep mist was also dissipated a lot.

Just as Li You ”appreciated” the laughter of the children below, Sally came over at some point.

”Master Li You, Albert is asking to see you.”

”what?”

Looking back at the little follower Sally, Li You showed a dumbfounding expression.

Ever since Trish, the first resident, was welcomed into the camp, the little follower seemed to be a different person.

When outsiders are around, she is like a silent machine, following Li You like a shadow.

Only when the two of them are alone will they show the same charming and cute girlish look as before.

”Sally, you...”

Li You thought for a while and decided to continue persuading him.

”You don’t need to be like this, I’m not used to it.”

”...”

”If it is to ensure the majesty of Lord Li You, then this is a necessary procedure.”

Sally blinked playfully, and then once again showed a ”strangers do not enter” expression.

”Master Li You, do you want to meet him?”

”...”

……

”Master Li You, sorry for interrupting your precious time.”

Standing in front of Li You, the tall and thin Albert’s face was full of humility.

From a certain point of view, this guy is really a middle-aged handsome guy.

”No need, Albert...we are good friends!”

Shaking his head helplessly, Li You looked at Albert and continued:

”You must have been working very hard recently. After all, you are managing the entire camp almost by yourself.”

”...”

After a moment of silence, Albert nodded and replied:

”It’s not hard work... It’s just that our camp is a little short of supplies.”

”Shortage...you mean food?”

Hearing Albert’s words, Li You immediately felt his brain swell.

Now in the camp, apart from the [huge air-dried meat], there are only some supplies traded by the ”mist wanderers”.

”Giant air-dried meat” is something... although Li You himself despises it.

But both the Chosen One on the channel and the inhabitants of his camp love it, even among the Mist Wanderers.

The ”huge air-dried meat” that fell out of the troll’s treasure house at the beginning was about 40 yuan. According to 1000 kilograms per piece, it was about [-] kilograms.

If it were simply used by the dozens of people in the camp to feed themselves... it would barely last more than a month.

But the problem is... Li You has been using [giant dried meat bricks] as ”payment currency”.

Whether it was buying resources from the chat channel or doing business with those ”mist wanderers”, all he paid was a fairly standard five hundred grams of meat bricks.

”Yes, according to the current consumption, our food can only last for half a month.”

Albert reported one by one.

”For a camp...with only half a month’s worth of food, this is already quite dangerous.”

”In addition to reporting this matter to you, I also want to ask you...whether to reduce the ”food ration level” in the camp?”

”...”

After thinking for a moment, Li You raised his head... and rejected the other party’s proposal.

”Ration reduction...not needed yet.”

”But this matter is indeed a very difficult issue... Albert, if the food inventory is reduced to the ten-day warning line, then I allow you to temporarily reduce the ration by half.”

”...”

”As you wish, Master Li You.”

After a slight salute to Li You, Albert left immediately.

”Master Li You, are we going to continue exploring?”

Seeing Albert leave, Sally, the little follower who had been silent on the side, looked at Li You and asked.

”Oh, you can’t go out.”

Li You sighed and looked at the thriving camp outside the window.

”Otherwise, so many people... what do they eat?”
