Chapter 51, The First Battle of the Militia

Chapter 51, The First Battle of the Militia
”Albert, while I’m away... the security of the camp will be entrusted to you.”

Before setting off, Li You, who was dressed in [Hynes Imperial Knight Armor], looked at Albert who came to ”send off” with a few camp backbones, and his eyes were full of entrustment.

”Please rest assured, Master Li You.”

”As long as I live, I will keep the camp safe.”

Albert’s expression was serious, and he looked quite serious.

”Take care of yourself.”

Li You didn’t say anything, but looked at Tracy in front and nodded.

”Let’s go! Guard formation!”

Following Cui Xizhong’s angry shout, a group of militiamen holding wooden shields formed a fairly tight small square around Li You, and behind the square were several ”citizens” with pockets on their backs.

After that, a group of nearly 20 people just crossed the simple bridge above the creek and started to move towards the other end that Li You had never explored.

”Hope everything goes well...”

Looking back, Albert still led a few people standing on the edge of the creek to watch them.

”Master Li You, you don’t have to worry too much about the safety of the camp.”

Sally, who was closely following Li You, saw him like this, paused and continued:
”There are enough weapons in the camp, at least...they have the ability to protect themselves.”

Under Sally’s persuasion, Li You turned on the [Portable Strong Light Searchlight] in his hand, and the surrounding militiamen also lit the torches stuck behind them.

They... are about to step into the mist.

……

From a military point of view, Li You’s militia is quite shabby.

In addition to the weapons in their hands, most people only have a simple homemade wooden shield as protective equipment.

Even the ”Commander” Trish at the front only had a strange breastplate on his body.

It’s not that Li You can’t make up enough.

In addition to a lot of ”rusty weapons” falling out of the troll’s treasury before, there were actually a bunch of rusty armor parts.

But in Tracy’s words...these armors come in different styles and shapes. If you barely make up a set, the imbalance of the center of gravity will greatly affect her combat capability.

Li You didn’t know much about this, and he didn’t dare to ask.

He could only acquiesce to Tracy’s statement, and did not force her to...”fully armed”.

……

After leaving the light of the bonfire, the cold and sticky peeping feeling was like an old friend, surrounding Li You again to talk about the past.

”It’s so uncomfortable...”

Li You, who hadn’t reminisced with his ”old friend” for several days, winced at the vicious prying eyes around him, but he was finally not as trembling as the first few times.

”Is it because of the attribute improvement?”

Li You was still thinking about the nature of the fog while holding the [Portable Strong Searchlight] in his hand and shining it randomly around.

”Lord Li You, there is a situation ahead!”

After Cui Xi’s voice came out, a group of militiamen around Li You started to commotion, and several archers with bows and arrows left the formation and stood at the forefront, obviously preparing to strike first.

”Anything?”

Li You was surprised.

It’s only a few steps away from the camp!
Following the direction Trixi pointed, Li You squinted his eyes and took a look... Sure enough, at the end of the light, there were several figures slowly wandering.

Maybe they noticed the light from the [portable strong light searchlight] in Li Youfa’s hand, and the figures over there even started to move towards them.

”This is... an armored zombie?”

Before Li You could see the appearance of those ”armored zombies” on the opposite side, Tracy in front had already issued an order in a calm voice.

”Archers! Shoot!”

The order was given, and several archers in front of the formation pulled their longbows into a crescent moon with a creaking sound.

The next moment, several arrows were like lightning, flying towards the group of ”armored zombies” on the opposite side, following the ”path” created by Li Youzhi, making wind-breaking sounds of ”whoosh” and ”whoosh”.

”Oh... Master of Body Stroke?”

Li You looked at most of the arrows that failed, and couldn’t help but glance at the few archers in front.

This hit rate... is a bit too touching, right?

But whether it was Tracy, or the militiamen around him... it seemed that they were used to this scene, and no one made any commotion at all.

”next round!”

Following Trish’s order again, another round of arrows continued to fly out.

Compared with the last time, the result of this time has finally improved a bit, at least in Li You’s eyes... There are a few ”armored zombies” slowly approaching over there.

One was shot down.

”Wonderful!”

Li You was overjoyed, it was finally open now!

Just when Li You thought that Tracy would always order the ”long-range troops” to continue attacking, Tracy issued a completely different new order.

”Okay, everyone pay attention...the whole army charges!”

”what?”

Li You was taken aback, before he could say anything.

The militiamen who originally surrounded them roared fiercely, and then waved their weapons in a swarm, rushing towards the ”armored zombies” on the opposite side amidst shouts.

”Ah this...”

Seeing that the circle of ”bodyguards” around just now disappeared, Li You felt a little ”little flustered”.

”Master Li You, soldiers need to grow up in battle.”

The ”commander” Cui Xi in front did not rush out with a group of militiamen, but turned his head to look at Li Yu and explained.

”It is impossible to train real soldiers only by training in the barracks.”

”Death and blood can sublimate them into qualified soldiers...!”

”...”

Regarding Tracy’s ”explanation”, Li You had nothing to say.

”You are the commander, you have the final say.”

Just as the two were talking, a group of militiamen in front had already fought those ”armored zombies”.

Although the ”armored zombies” move slowly, the armor on their bodies seems to be not low-grade. At least Li You saw that two of them had been ”cracked” a few times, but they still waved the guns in their hands as if nothing had happened. Obsolete weapons.

As the battle continued, the militiamen on Li You’s side... actually started to get beaten and retreated.

Not only that, several people have even been ”injured”.

”Sally, why don’t we go help them?”

Seeing a group of militiamen fighting and retreating, Li You finally couldn’t help it, and looked at Sally beside him and asked.

”Master Li You, if they can’t even handle this small scene...”

”What qualifications do you have to continue to serve as a soldier under your command?”

Hearing Sally’s ”indifferent” answer, Li You looked at his expressionless little follower and sighed.

The old Sally...wasn’t like this.
