Chapter 33, Ancient Battlefield 1

Chapter 33, Ancient Battlefield 1
After leaving the ”Tomb of the Knights Protecting the Country”, Li You continued to explore in the mist with his little follower, Sally.

The ”Sweeper 3000” behind them seemed to have sensed the danger. The ”beep” sound that kept coming almost all day long also disappeared without a trace, and it just followed the two of them quietly with the torch on its head.

……

”Sally, roughly how far have we traveled?”

Taking a breath, Li You took the water bottle handed over by the little entourage beside him, and asked while drinking.

”Probably less than ten kilometers?”

Sally on the side said that, and turned back to look at the mist behind the two of them, which was in the direction of the ”Wanderer Camp”.

”Have you just walked less than ten kilometers?”

Li You screwed on the bottle cap and let out a breath of foul air.

From a purely physical perspective, a ten-kilometer slow walk wouldn’t do much to Li You.

But advancing in this deep, dark and silent mist is extremely psychologically oppressive to the person himself.

It was good that he had been moving just now, but now that he stopped, Li You could even clearly hear the ”thump” and ”thump” beating of his heart.

After moving forward for a long time, the environment around the two people was like ”copy and paste”, with no changes at all.

There are no monsters, no resources, no ruins...there are just flat grasslands spreading all around, with wild flowers of all colors blooming.

After taking a few breaths, Li You sighed and greeted Sally again.

”Sally, go!”

……

This ”expedition” did not seem to have any effect on Li You’s little follower, Sally.

In Li You’s eyes, the eyes of Sally next to her are always so alert, and her footsteps are always light and fast, making it impossible for people to guess... She is now carrying a load of more than [-] kilograms.

As for Li You, apart from the ring of torches on his back and the ”iron spear” in his hand, he hardly carried any weight.

Exploring in the fog is not the time to be concerned about appearance and grace.

”Lord Li You, do we want to take a break?”

Seeing that Li You was obviously starting to slow down, Sally, who was quietly following him, asked hesitantly.

”Rest awhile?”

Hearing Sally’s words beside him, Li You held the ”portable strong light searchlight” in his hand and surveyed the surrounding area.

The surroundings are still quiet, without any trace of danger.

”Then take a rest...”

With that said, Li You pulled out the torch on the head of ”Sweeper 3000” neatly.

Then... he sat down very bluntly.

”Huh, looking at it this way, this broken robot...isn’t useless at all!”

The ”Sweeper 3000” sitting on top of Li You did not realize that it was a ”stool”. Instead, it made a ”buzzing” track running sound.

Obviously some kind of ”escape mode” was turned on.

Driven by the high-power engine, Li You was actually whirled back and forth around Sally on the side.

”Fuck, be honest with me!”

Seeing that the ”Sweeper 3000” below actually carried him ”forward”, Li You knocked on the iron skull of the ”Sweeper 3000” a few times angrily, making a crisp sound of ”Boom” and ”Boom”.

”Master Li You, don’t bully Dudu!”

Sally on the side showed a sullen expression, and immediately pulled Li You up from ”Sweeper 3000”.

”Sally, where are you from!”

Looking at the angry little entourage on the side, Li You felt that he was a little bit dumbfounded.

”Of course I’m on Li You’s side!”

Sally first answered very firmly, and then continued with a serious face:
”Of course, I can’t just sit back and watch Master Li You bully ”Dudu”!”

……

The little break didn’t waste much time for the two of them.

After changing the ”torch” again, the two continued the ”expedition” with the quieted Sweeper 3000.

Maybe it was the ”prayer” in Li You’s heart that had an effect, maybe it was the way things were supposed to be.

As the two continued to move toward the depths of the fog, the surrounding environment gradually changed.

”Going out??”

Looking at the scattered ”debris” scattered on the ground around him, Li You’s heart inevitably felt a little excited.

At this time, the environment around the two of them was finally no longer the empty and ”frightening” wildflower plain, but instead there were many ”traces of the battlefield”.

Things like ”rusty weapons” would appear on the ground from time to time. In addition, there were even some scattered ”chariot wreckage”.

”This seems to be an ancient battlefield.”

Throwing away the helmet that was so rusted that it almost lost its original appearance, Li You suddenly felt uneasy as he looked at more and more ”white bones” around him.

The excitement of leaving the ”Wildflower Plain” just now disappeared with the increasingly dense corpses around.

”Ancient battlefield”, this is not a good sign.

If there is no ”monster” in this kind of place, then Li You is definitely the first to not believe it.

The half-buried bones on the ground have obviously been dead for a long time, so long ago that even their ”smell” has ”died”.

Li You didn’t smell even a trace of strange smell in this piece of bones.

”Lord Li You, do we still want to move forward?”

The little follower, Sally, frowned, kept scanning the bones scattered around, and seemed to feel some ”unknown atmosphere”.

”Go on, we have to go on.”

Looking at the ”bones” with different postures around him, Li You sighed.

He didn’t want to go further into this ”ancient battlefield” that represented death and ominousness.

But... where can they go?

The two of them had been walking for at least four or five hours since they came out of the camp.

Even if they want to move in other directions, who knows...how big is the area covered by this ancient battlefield?
Not to mention that in this fog, except for the ”Wanderer’s Camp” that looked like a ”Beacon” behind them, neither of them had any sense of direction.

The only thing that made Li You relax a little bit was that the ”bones” in this place should not be ”monsters”.

The bones in this ancient battlefield seem to have been dead for a long time, and the bones are so ”crisp” that they almost break when stepped on.

In this case, Li You felt that it was unlikely that these guys would cheat corpses.

After all, even ”monsters”...you have to explain some basic truths.

How could such a brittle bone frame still stand up with that very heavy rusted armor?
”Sally, let’s keep going.”

”Still the old rules! If the situation is not right...throw away all the things and run away with me!!”
