Chapter 1530: The Reason for Coming Late

Originally, Zhang Cheng did not intend to talk about this.

According to the rules, their commission would be at least 50,000 yuan.

If it was only 500 or even 5,000 yuan, he would not overthink it.

However, 50,000 yuan was not a small sum. If he let the two of them pocket it so freely, he would suffer a huge loss!

“It’s like this. They were just responsible for distributing flyers. They’re paid about 100 yuan per person per day. The commission of the house typically has nothing to do with them, but there will be some corresponding rewards. It’ll be almost 200 yuan per person.”

“No commission?!”

Huang Xiaoqing raised her voice. “That’s not what you said when we came to work part-time yesterday!”

“Other than handing out flyers, if we brought guests over who successfully purchased units, we were supposed to get a commission of 3.6%. Why are we only getting a tiny bonus now?!”

“Did I say such a thing?” Zhang Cheng said.

“I spoke about a bonus, not a commission. Don’t get it mixed up.”

“That’s impossible. That’s what you said!”

Huang Xiaoqing pointed at Li Lu and said.

“She even received a commission of more than 2,000 yuan yesterday. This Little Brother bought a house worth 138 million yuan, so why are you only giving us a 200 yuan bonus?!”

“She’s different from you. We can’t generalize things.” Zhang Cheng said impatiently.

“Your bonus is only 200 yuan. If you’re not satisfied, leave now.”

“You, you guys are too much!” Zheng Tiantian said with grievance, “You’re obviously lying!”

“I think you’re the ones who are greedy for money!” Zhang Cheng said.

“I clearly stated the bonus. Now that someone is buying a house, you’re deliberately saying that you are entitled to a commission. Do you believe that I’ll call the police now?!”

“You!”

“Alright, alright, stop arguing,” Lin Yi said impatiently.

“Mr. Lin, I’m really sorry. We were negligent and embarrassed ourselves in front of you.”

Li Lu crossed her arms in front of her chest and said proudly,

“Don’t forget that we’re classmates. You guys should leave first. It’s embarrassing for you to stay around here.”

“I was brought here by the two of them. Since they won’t get a commission, I won’t buy the house. Fortunately, I didn’t sign the contract. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to explain myself.”

With that, Lin Yi stood up and prepared to leave.

“Huh?”

Zhang Cheng and Li Lu were stunned. “Sir, didn’t you take a fancy to our houses? Why aren’t you buying it?”

Lin Yi patted Zhang Cheng’s shoulder earnestly.

“It’s not easy for a young lady to come out and work a job like this. It’s not right for you to play such tricks with her. I might as well not buy a house from people like you.”

Zhang Cheng looked embarrassed. This feeling of being exposed in public was really unpleasant.

“Mr. Lin, this is my fault. I’ll give them their commission according to proper procedure.”

“It’s too late,” Lin Yi said.

“I’ll get someone else to help me get the house. 1 don’t need you anymore.”

Zhang Cheng stood rooted to the ground like he had been struck by lightning.

The commission of more than two million yuan was gone just like that!

Then, Lin Yi found the manager of the sales office to deal with this matter, and Zhang Cheng and Li Lu were naturally fired.

“Brother, thank you.”

Zheng Tiantian and Huang Xiaoqing bowed to Lin Yi in unison.

If it weren’t for him, they would have been bullied today and wouldn’t have received their commission.

“It’s nothing. Although there are many f*cking scumbags in society, we still have to work hard and do our best.”

“Got it.”

After buying the house, Lin Yi took all the paperwork and keys before walking out of the sales office and returning to the entrance of the western restaurant.

However, he realized that after more than 40 minutes, Yan Ci still did not come, so he called her.

“Are you not here yet?”

“Almost there. Almost there. Five minutes tops.”

“Alright, 1’11 wait for you at the entrance.”

Lin Yi was a little puzzled. She was the one who told him that she could go out, but she was so late.

Five minutes later, Yan Ci appeared in front of Lin Yi as promised.

“If you hadn’t come now, we could have gone straight for dinner.”

“I had something come up,” Yan Ci said apologetically.

“Is it related to the movie?”

“Yesterday’s matters have all been resolved, and it has nothing to do with that.”

“Then what is it?”

“Oh, don’t ask. You’ll find out later.”

“I’ll find out later?”

Lin Yi muttered to himself. What was she going to do with him later?

“Let’s go. Don’t ask any questions for now. Let’s go eat. I’m hungry too.”

Yan Ci didn’t say anything else to Lin Yi and brought him to the restaurant.

The two of them ordered the signature steak and red wine alongside some other snacks. They talked while eating.

“Where do you want to set up the interview?” Yan Ci asked.

“Lingyun Group or the factory in Dongsan County?”

“How about the factory? The interview is mainly to promote our industrial park,” Lin Yi said.

“However, you can also go to Dongsan County to take a look around there. There are earth-shattering changes happening there now. Report the changes there so that we can attract other investors.”

“I know a little about what is happening in Dongsan County. The poverty alleviation process is in full swing. Director Lin contributed greatly to this.”

“It was a piece of cake.”

“Tsk, way to toot your own horn.” Yan Ci smiled and said.

“Then, when is a convenient time for the interview?”

“I’ll give you a number to call later. His name is Qi Xianzhao. You can coordinate with him regarding the specific timing.”

“Is he the one I’ll be interviewing?”

“That’s right.” Lin Yi said.

“Other than myself, he’s the most important person in Lingyun Group. You just have to communicate with him about the details.”

“Will do.”

“By the way, 1 have something for you.”

Lin Yi took out the property deed and placed it in front of Yan Ci.

“What is this?”

“A Christmas present.”

“Even I get one?”

“My greatest strength is that I’m fair. After doing so many business deals with me, you will naturally get a share.”

Yan Ci smiled as she took something out of her pocket, and her expression froze for a moment.

“Real estate?”

“It’s in Linxi Bay nearby. The location and layout are quite good,” Lin Yi said.

“But it’s not decorated yet, so you can decide how you want to decorate it. If you don’t have enough money for the renovations, remember to let me know.” He waved the property certificate in his hand. “I’ve earned a house so easily? I feel like I’ve made a profit.”

“Was it easy?” Lin Yi said.

“After every battle, when I try to drag you out of bed, it’s as if you’re stuck in the mud and can’t get up.”

“F*ckyou, don’t talk nonsense. There are so many people here,” Yan Ci said.

“Coincidentally, I have plans to change houses recently. I’ll go take a look at the layout later and take some time to renovate it.”

About an hour later, Lin Yi paid the bill and left. The two of them went to the new house.

“It’s such a big house. It must have cost a lot, right?”

“It was okay. It was about 40 million yuan. It’s not very expensive.”

Yan Ci turned around and hugged Lin Yi’s neck.

“I made you spend so much money for no good reason.. Shouldn’t I express my gratitude?”
