I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

Chapter 89: Chapter 089: Young Master Qin Will Come To Propose a Toast

The few of them took to their seats as Qiao Zihao ordered some dishes and placed them all on the table.

“Brother-in-law, you’re too polite. You actually ordered so many good dishes. I’ve never eaten anything like Japanese beef or Filet Mignon steak before,” Gu Jingwu said.

“Today, uncle and aunt came. No matter what, we have to order some good things. Ordinary dishes can’t be served to this table.”

“Then I will thank you for your hospitality, Brother-in-law.”

“You’re welcome. You called me brother-in-law. It’s what I’m supposed to do.” Qiao Zihao said with a smile.

!!
As he spoke, Qiao Zihao glanced at Lin Yi and could not help but look at him with disdain.

Haha, look At yourself. You still want to compete with me?

Do you have the strength to do so?

“Lin Yi, try this. See if it suits your appetite.”

Gu Jingshu picked up a piece of Japanese beef and put it on Lin Yi’s plate.

Gu Jingshu knew Lin Yi’s identity.

In the eyes of ordinary people, Japanese beef and beef were good food, but with Lin Yi’s identity, he was probably sick of it.

“I’m not picky with food. Anything is fine.”

“Then try this Filet Mignon steak. It looks quite fresh,” Gu Jingshu said. “Oh right, you have to eat it with vegetables, otherwise you’ll get sick of it.”

The Gu family members looked at Gu Jingshu as she kept putting food on Lin Yi’s plate. Their expressions were a little awkward.

This daughter of theirs was really something.

Xiao Qiao was still here. Why was she so warm to an outsider?

“Jingshu, don’t always think about your friend. Just let him eat by himself. Give Xiao Qiao some meat,” Gu Jingshu’s mother said.

“Doesn’t he have hands? He can do it himself.”

“What are you talking about?” Gu Jianguo said unhappily.

“Uncle, don’t be angry. It’s just a small matter,” Qiao Zihao said with a smile.

“Zihao, Jingshu has been spoiled by us since she was young. You have to bear with her more in the future.”

“Uncle, don’t worry. Leave Jingshu to me. I am not upset.”

“Look at that, Zihao understands the big picture,” Jianguo praised. “The kids from rich families are really different. They’re much more experienced than us.”

Lin Yi could not help but laugh. This kind of behavior was like being cheated on, yet he could still hold it in. He was a real man.

“Exactly. If brother-in-law didn’t have such a big heart, he wouldn’t have become good friends with Young Master Qin,” Jingwu said.

“That makes sense. You should learn from him.”

“Yeah, I’ll definitely learn from Brother-in-law.”

Seeing Lin Yi and Jingshu’s intimate actions, the Gu family sighed in their hearts.

If they had known that this kid was so tactless, they would not have let him come with them.

Such a high-class restaurant was not a place he could come dine in!

“Jingshu came here to work. At first, I was a little worried, but now that you are taking care of her, I don’t think about it anymore,” Gu Jianguo said.

“Dad, you can steady your uneasy heart. With my brother-in-law’s family connections, my sister’s career in the future will definitely be smooth sailing. She might even be able to enter the Education Bureau,” Gu Jingwu said while eating his steak.

“In comparison, a certain someone is a lot weaker. He’s not on the same level as my brother-in-law.”

“Speaking of which, I’d really like to ask, “Mr. Lin, you look great. May I know where you work?”

Lin Yi raised his head. He did not think that Qiao Zihao would change the topic to him.

“I work at a university.”

University?

Everyone was a little surprised, especially Gu Jingshu.

Was Lin Yi not the boss of the Peninsula Hotel?

Why was he still working at a university?

Could it be that he had nothing better to do? Was he going to pursue an official career in the future?

Lin Yi’s career made the Gu family think highly of him.

After all, the profession of a teacher was still highly respected.

Qiao Zihao looked at Lin Yi and asked lightly,

“May I know which university Mr. Lin is working at? What exactly is your job?”

“Zhonghai Normal University. I’m the Secretary of the College League Committee.”

“Secretary? What subject is he teaching?”

The Gu family members were stunned. They did not know what this position was for.

“Uncle and aunt, you’ve misunderstood,” Qiao Zihao said.

“Although it sounds very high-class, to put it bluntly, it’s just a job that requires you to run around doing errands.”

“I see. It doesn’t seem like a good job either,” Gu Jianguo said. “Compared to your directorship, it’s nothing.”

“That’s true. What kind of job is running errands?” Zihao said with a smile.

“Lin Yi, my family still has some connections in the Education Bureau. Do you need me to ask the school leaders to promote you?”

“No need.”

Jianguo frowned slightly. How hard was it to survive in society these days? If he did not cherish such a good opportunity, his future development would probably be very limited.

He could ignore this today, but he had to talk to Jingshu about this when he got back. He could not let the two of them have any more contact in the future.

“Haha, Lin Yi, you rejected me so directly. Could it be that your family has something to rely on?” Qiao Zihao said with a smile:

“Where do your parents work? I feel that they have arranged your work well.”

Qiao Zihao was confident that not only was Lin Yi’s work inferior to his, but his family background was also no different.

Now that he thought about it, it seemed like it was a good thing to invite him to join them for dinner.

Without comparing himself to others, how could he stand out from the crowd?

“I don’t have parents.”

Everyone in the room was a little surprised when they heard that.

“So you’re an orphan.” Qiao Zihao said, “Then it won’t be easy to survive in society from now on.”

“You don’t have to worry about that.”

Dang dang dang…

At this moment, there was a knock on the door of the private room, interrupting their conversation.

“Come in.”

At this moment, the waiter pushed the door open and walked in.

In his hands were several plates of dishes and red wine.

“These are the French truffles and foie gras that our Young Master Qin sent over by air. Also, this bottle of Romani Conti has been warmed in advance. You can drink it directly.”

Qiao Zihao was a little surprised. He had not expected to not only get such a good private room prepared for him, but Young Master Qin had also taken the initiative to deliver such extraordinary dishes!

Qin Han thought too highly of him!

“Okay, I understand. Thank you,” Qiao Zihao said calmly, enjoying the feeling of being praised.

It was likely that Young Master Qin had taken a fancy to his family’s resources and status in the education world. Otherwise, he would not have taken the initiative to treat him so enthusiastically.

“Sir, if there are no other requests, we will take our leave first. Young Master Qin just said that he will come over to propose a toast later.”

“He still wants to propose a toast?”

Qiao Zihao was a little dizzy. The famous Young Master Qin actually wanted to propose a toast to him!

Was this not a little too exciting?

“Okay, okay, okay. I got it. You guys take your leave first.”

“Brother-in-law, you are so impressive. You just came over to have a meal, but Young Master Qin still wants to personally propose a toast? This is not treatment that ordinary people can receive!”After the waiter left, Gu Jingwu said enviously.

“Moreover, a red wine like Romani Conti doesn’t seem to be cheap. It costs at least tens of thousands of dollars a bottle.”

“It’s fine, it’s fine.” Qiao Zihao laughed and said, “I’m embarrassed about this matter. We’re all on the same side, so there’s no need for formalities.”

“Brother-in-law, your relationship with Young Master Qin is too close. It seems that I still have to work hard to get ahead. Otherwise, at my current level, even if I meet Young Master Qin, I might not even be able to look him in the eye.”

“Don’t belittle yourself. As long as you work hard, you will be like me in the future,” Qiao Zihao said with a smile.

“Let’s make some preparations too. Young Master Qin will be here soon.”

“Okay, okay, okay.”

The Gu family members were a little nervous. After having lived for so many years, this was the first time they were meeting such a person.

At this moment, the door of the private room was pushed open and Qin Han walked in from outside.
