Chapter 215: Hajime Island that only exists in dreamsChapter 215: Hajime Island that only exists in dreams
Previously, Big Eyeball and the other Purgatory Lords had launched a surprise attack on the Star Throne with their incarnations, but they were not recognized. However, this does not mean that the thrones really knew nothing about Purgatory. At most, they just didn’t recognize the name.

After all, the Nine Thrones had successfully sealed and imprisoned the Primordial Mother, a top existence from the Primordial side, and they obviously knew a lot about the Primordial survivors, otherwise there would not have been this plan.

From this point of view, the thrones at least understand the original.

Now, I suddenly learned that the blood-eyed black cat Klein was actually from Shidao, one of the four transcendent forces, and had become a partner of the ”Foolish Throne”.

This made it difficult for Rorschach not to make associations.

Because this means that the Foolish Throne must have had some connection with Hajime Island, otherwise he wouldn’t have met the blood-eyed black cat Klein.

Blood-eyed black cat Klein said as a matter of course, ”Of course he knows. Otherwise, how would he recognize me? And it’s not just knowing. Back then, before he entered the Blazing Sun level, he had already been to Shi Island.”

”Doesn’t Hajime need to sleep?” Rorschach asked in surprise.

He actually didn’t know much about the First Island and the Mother River, even in the inherited memories there wasn’t much, he only knew more about Purgatory and the Origin.

Because in the many eras of the past, the Origin had the most interactions with Purgatory, and the relationship between the two parties was undoubtedly the worst.

But it is precisely because of their bad relationship that they understand each other.

On the other hand, although Shidao and Muhe are the four transcendent forces in this universe, they don’t have much intersection with Purgatory.

The reason why they can be listed together is simply because these four transcendent forces can safely survive every major catastrophe and will not be wiped out by cosmic disasters.

Now, according to what the blood-eyed black cat said, the ’Foolish Throne’ had actually visited Shidao many years ago, and it was also on Shidao that it recognized it.

Doesn’t this mean that the time when Hajime appeared in this era is much earlier than Purgatory and Origin?

Of course, Big Eyes and Silver Spider Girl might know some things about Shidao Island.

But Rorschach couldn’t ask them directly. If he asked too much, they might not be suspicious, because they all mistook Rorschach for the Lord of Purgatory ’Source’. Only Rorschach himself knew that he was not a Lord of Purgatory at all.

Since ’Source’ is one of the most powerful Purgatory Lords, he probably knows more secrets of this universe than Big Eyeball and the others.

In this case, how can we ask them everything?
Every time Rorschach got some information from them, it was either indirectly or simply from them mentioning it voluntarily.

At this time, with Blood-eyed Black Cat, a legitimate member of Shidao, one of the four major transcendental forces, here, and able to ask questions unscrupulously, Luo Xia naturally would not be shy to speak up.

”Sleeping?” The blood-eyed black cat was a little surprised when he heard it. ”Why do you want to sleep?”

”As far as I know, whether it’s Purgatory or Primordial... if they want to avoid every catastrophe in this universe, they have to fall into a deep sleep and will not wake up until the next catastrophe is about to come. Doesn’t Shidao have to do this?” Rorschach directly expressed his confusion.

”Oh, that’s what you’re talking about.” The blood-eyed black cat suddenly realized, and it was obvious that he also knew the situation of Purgatory and Origin. ”On Shi Island, there is really no need to sleep, because Shi Island has no real connection with this universe.”

”No substantial connection?” Rorschach was somewhat surprised by what the blood-eyed black cat said.

He is now considered a strong man after all, and has been exposed to many secrets, but what does it mean that there is no substantial connection?

It is like purgatory, which does not seem to be located anywhere in this universe, but is just a special dimension built on this universe.

The situation of the original side is somewhat different from that of purgatory, because the base camp of the original side is a super star with infinite mass, also called the ’original star’!
Due to its infinite mass, the main manifestation of the ”primordial star” in this universe is an extremely huge super black hole.

But at its core is the lair of the original survivors.

It is worth mentioning that the location of the ’Original Star’ is right at the very center of this universe, and it is also the center point of this universe since its birth.

Unlike the ubiquitous Purgatory dimension, the location of the ’Original Star’ is eternal and unchanging, and it is also where the original survivors sleep.

However, no matter how incredible the Purgatory Dimension and the ’Original Star’ are, they are still built in this universe.

But from what Blood-eyed Black Cat said, it seems that this is not the case?

”Yes, there is indeed no connection.” The blood-eyed black cat nodded, ”How should I explain it to you... Strictly speaking, the First Island is neither a world of different dimensions like Purgatory, nor a substantial entity like the Primordial Star. It is more like a strange place that exists in a dream.”

”In a dream?” Rorschach became more confused.

”It sounds like you already know a lot about the history of this universe, so I won’t go into too much detail. In short, every time a catastrophe restarts, countless lives will be destroyed. Perhaps this is not important to this universe itself. The birth and destruction of lives have nothing to do with the universe itself.”

The blood-eyed black cat pondered and said, ”But life is definitely the most wonderful thing in the world. It can create endless miracles. After every catastrophe, although the lives of an era will be destroyed and no substantial existence will be left, their thoughts will leave traces.”

”Thoughts are the most mysterious thing. If there is only a trace of thought, it is insignificant. But how many living beings are there in an era?”

”So many living beings will retain a thought before the catastrophe comes. They hope that they will not encounter such suffering in the next life, and hope that there will be a promised land where they can live and work in peace and contentment.”

”There are so many thoughts that there will be more after almost every era. After this universe has experienced dozens of restarts, these thoughts have finally accumulated to a certain qualitative change!”

When the blood-eyed black cat said this, there was a hint of shock in his tone.

It is to be amazed at the magic of life!

”Was it those thoughts that created the Island of Beginning?” Rorschach could naturally guess the truth after hearing this.

The blood-eyed black cat didn’t keep him in suspense, so it wasn’t difficult to guess.

”That’s right.” The blood-eyed black cat confirmed his guess. ”The birth of Shidao is very mysterious. It’s as if it was born suddenly one day, and its true location cannot be located. It does not exist in a different dimension or a specific area, but it is really like a dream.”

”Then how did the people outside get in?” Rorschach asked.

”Let it be.” The black cat with bloodshot eyes murmured.

”Let it be?” Rorschach was getting more and more confused. What does ”let it be” mean? Is this word appropriate to use here?

”Well, it’s all up to fate.” The blood-eyed black cat confirmed again, ”The existence of the Beginning Island itself is an incredible phenomenon, and the way to enter and leave the Beginning Island, no one can explain it clearly until now.”

”Take that guy Yu for example. The way he entered Shi Island was by trying to travel through a space channel, and then he accidentally entered Shi Island. He initially thought that Shi Island was a secret space realm, and that space channel was the channel connecting to Shi Island.” The blood-eyed black cat told Rorschach.

Rorschach: ”Isn’t it?”

”Of course not. His way of entering just looks normal. But many residents of Shidao have very strange ways of entering. For example, some people just push open a door at random, and behind the door is Shidao. They may not be able to go back once they turn around.”

The blood-eyed black cat recalled, ”There are many more bizarre ways, such as my parents, who were just catching fish in a lake. When they dived into the lake and floated up again, they appeared on Shidao Island.”

”As for the way to leave the Island of Beginning, there is often no pattern. Of course, the Island of Beginning will not send you out casually. Anyone who is sent out does not want to stay on the Island of Beginning in his heart. Yu was like this in the beginning. He always wanted to return to the wizard world.”

”Mr. Klein, you too?” Rorschach asked curiously.

”Me? I guess so. I was still young at the time, and Yu told me that the world outside was a hundred times more exciting than Shidao, so I wanted to go out and see the world. You can also understand that I was tricked by him.” The black cat with bloodshot eyes said lightly, not showing any displeasure at being deceived.

”Ahem.” Luo Xia felt a little embarrassed when he heard this.

“You don’t have to be embarrassed. How should I describe Yu? He is very sincere. Even though I have known him for so many years, I can only evaluate him in this way. What he said to me was all from his heart. He didn’t mean to lie to me. I don’t regret leaving the island with him.” said the black cat with bloodshot eyes.

”Then how did you get away from the starting island?” Rorschach didn’t dwell on the previous question for too long and simply changed the subject.

”As soon as we walked out of the house, we came to the wizarding world, and appeared directly in the lair of that despicable guy Xing.” said the black cat with bloodshot eyes.

”Star Throne?”

”Who else but him?” The blood-eyed black cat’s tone was rarely filled with a hint of disgust. ”He plotted against that guy Yu, and a big part of the reason was to find the location of Shidao. I told Yu a long time ago that guy couldn’t be trusted, but he refused to believe it, and in the end he caused himself to fall into a deep sleep. Really.”

”But isn’t it possible for Hajime to actively search for it?” Rorschach asked.

”Yes, that’s what I told him, but he didn’t believe it. He thought it was just an excuse.” said the black cat with bloodshot eyes.

”I see.” Rorschach understood immediately.

Obviously, the action of ’Star Throne’ must be selfish. After learning that Shidao Island would not be affected by the catastrophe and that ’Foolish Throne’ had been to Shidao Island, he wanted to know the location of Shidao Island from ’Foolish Throne’.

But the Foolish Throne did not lie about this matter, because even he himself did not know how to find the first island.

The Star Throne obviously didn’t agree with this statement, so it schemed against the Foolish Throne and forced him into a deep sleep.

The Old Ones back then probably went to the Island of the Beginning by chance.

But a large number of the Old Ones did not want to stay on the island forever, so they were sent out by the island and returned to this era.

”By the way, I heard that the Old Ones have also been to Shi Island. Lord Klein should have seen them there, right?” Rorschach asked.

“Never seen it.” The black cat with bloodshot eyes shook his head.

”Hmm?” Rorschach was now even more confused.

Because as far as he knew, the Old Ones were remnants from several eras ago, at least five eras away from now.

They have been on Shi Island for such a long time. Since the blood-eyed black cat is a resident of Shi Island, how could it not have seen them?
”I told you that the existence of Hajime Island is incredible. This incredibleness is not only reflected in the fact that it exists in a dream, but also in the fact that its own timeline has no necessary connection with the outside world.”

The blood-eyed black cat pondered, ”In other words, if you enter the Shidao Island right now, the creatures that enter the Shidao Island with you may also be creatures from dozens of eras ago. Do you understand what I mean?”

Luo Xia was shocked when he heard this. ”You mean, not only can Hajime appear in any location, but also in any time?”

Blood-eyed Black Cat: ”That’s right. There are many things here that even a resident like me who grew up on Shi Island cannot understand. I only know the general idea... Anyway, when Yu came in from the outside world, the group of guys called the Old Ones had not yet arrived on Shi Island. They should have entered after Yu and I left Shi Island.”

”No wonder.” Rorschach suddenly understood a lot of things.

The popular science about the black cat with blood-eyed pupils solved many of his confusions.

For example, since the Old Ones are creatures from many eras ago, and most of them do not want to stay in the Island of the Beginning, why don’t they leave earlier, but instead come back in this era after such a long time?
They have all lived on the island for several generations, so what is there to be uncomfortable about?

But according to what Blood-eyed Black Cat said, it is very likely that a large number of the Old Ones were sent out soon after they went to the First Island.

They didn’t stay on Shijima for long, but when they decided to leave Shijima, Shijima happened to appear in this era.

That’s it.

If the island of Hajime appeared dozens of eras ago, they would most likely be able to go back to the past, since different eras would not interfere with each other anyway.

Perhaps in the history of this universe, there are many creatures who have returned to the past or gone to the future.

But in the end, they were unable to survive the catastrophe on their own and completely disappeared in the long river of time, so no one knew about these things.

After all, every catastrophe is like a reshuffle, which will not leave any substantial traces.

”Then, Sir Klein, do you know anything about the Mother River?” Rorschach asked again.

“I don’t know.” The blood-eyed black cat shook his head decisively. “When I left the island, I was just a child. I only knew a lot of things from what my parents mentioned. I may not know much more than you, or even less than you… Just like Purgatory and the Origin, I only know that these two exist, but I don’t know much.”
