Mythical Professions are all my employees

Chapter 136 New Employee Recruitment, Lu Dayong, Things Are a Bit MiserableChapter 136 New Employee Recruitment, Lu Dayong, Things Are a Bit Miserable...

After the three core members left, Qin Fang also left the Upside-Down Cloud Realm and began to study the materials provided by the headhunting company.

The recently recruited epic member is named Yao Feng. He is from Shengjing. Because he is from Shengjing and his family has an official background, Qin Fang hesitated before choosing to recruit him through the ”altar” method.

His profession is also a mage, named ’Ember Messenger’, and he belongs to the fire mage lineage.

However, compared to other members, its passive and active skills are not particularly outstanding. Even its ultimate skill, while dealing decent damage, did not impress Qin Fang.

It’s estimated to be one of the weaker epic classes.

...Qin Fang has seen many epic classes now, and can be considered quite knowledgeable. Especially after witnessing the skills of the Time Prison Guardian.

He really looked down on some of the weaker epic classes.

For example, none of Yao Feng’s skills were ones that Qin Fang felt were worth giving to other members.

He is now looking at three other documents.

He still needs two core members... at least to form an Abyss raiding team first.

The damage output is already sufficient; all that’s missing is a tank and a healer.

And there just happens to be a meat shield here.

He carefully examined the other party’s information.

Name: Lu Dayong

Current Class: Shield Guard (Normal)

[Potential: Epic (Unbreakable Guardian)]

[Biography: Lu Dayong was born in Dashi City. He was an orphan and lived with his younger sister...]

Qin Fang read on carefully, and the more he read, the more surprised he became... This Lu Dayong’s experience was quite similar to his own.

The difference is that Qin Xiaoyou is his half-sister, while this kid’s sister is his biological sister.

Moreover, his parents were both professionals who died while working on a project, but they still left him some property, which enabled him and his sister to attend school.

But recently, this kid seems to have run into some trouble...

He squinted and continued reading the biography...

……

Oishi City.

Outside the Tier 0 dungeon ’Purple Bamboo Forest’, Lu Dayong let out a long breath, rubbed his somewhat deflated belly, and glanced at his stamina, which was only 36 points left.

”Dayong, let’s go eat, we’ll continue later?”

Team leader Lin Tao was standing nearby, calling out to him.

Lu Dayong shook his head: ”Forget it, Brother Lin, let’s call it a day. I have to go back. My sister lives alone, and I need to go back and cook for her.”

”Is that so?”

Lin Tao paused for a moment, then nodded and said, ”Alright, you’ll run three dungeons with us today. As agreed before, you won’t get any loot from the dungeons. You’ll get 100 silver coins per run, right?”

“That’s right.” Lu Dayong smiled憨厚ly. “Thank you, Brother Lin.”

”fine.”

Lin Tao took out three hundred silver coins and handed them to Lu Dayong. After Lu Dayong took them, he said goodbye to his teammates and went to the parking lot not far away, where he boarded a bus back to Dashi City.

Lu Dayong is currently level 3. Although his level is low, he is still in high demand for dungeons because he is a tank.

However, their level is too low and their rank is not high either. They are just ordinary tanks and it is difficult for them to be added to a fixed group. They are basically in temporary groups.

According to the rules, in a temporary group, the other party is responsible for providing the pass. He joins the group with the team, does not need to fight the boss, and has nothing to do with the dungeon drops. He earns 100 silver coins per run.

Despite the low income, Lu Dayong is actually not losing money.

The other members were all higher level than him. Although he was a tank, he couldn’t withstand too much damage. Besides, they didn’t even have to face the boss; it was just a regular leveling group. They provided a pass, gave him 100 silver coins, and let him in to gain experience...

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say they made a fortune.

”I’ve only been awakened for less than a week, and now I can earn three to five hundred silver coins every day... It just so happens that the inheritance left by my parents is almost gone.”

Although he only earned three hundred silver coins, it was a huge improvement compared to before.

After all, he used to earn a few dozen copper coins a day by doing odd jobs. It’s nothing compared to now.

In the world of professionals, once you become a professional, you are separated from ordinary people by a huge distance.

It’s not just talk.

Therefore, Lu Dayong is actually quite satisfied with his current life.

Sitting on the bus, his stomach was growling when he suddenly heard arguing outside the window. He instinctively looked over, then frowned, a hint of anger flashing in his eyes.

But soon, that anger turned into helplessness.

Outside, several three-eyed people were shoving and pushing a few human professionals. It was unclear what the dispute was about, but the three-eyed people started pushing and shoving each other.

A few human professionals retorted with a few defiant words, and the Three-Eyed Clan immediately slapped them several times... The damage wasn’t great, but the insults were extremely strong.

However, the human professionals covered their faces, daring not to speak out in anger.

The people around were furious, but they could only watch helplessly.

Such things happen every few days, and no one dares to step forward.

Lu Dayong was the same.

What gives him the right to stand up for himself?

An ordinary level 3 tank class can be easily killed in just a few hits if someone really wants to kill him.

He also has a younger sister to support.

Moreover, since it involves people from other ethnic groups killing each other, the officials in Dashi City generally don’t dare to come forward to demand any explanation.

All they do is keep sending messages in the group, repeatedly emphasizing respect for the ceasefire agreement and telling them to be as tolerant as possible when faced with provocations from other races, blah blah blah.

Those who saw it were furious.

They were patient and restrained, but the alien races seemed to have no intention of doing so at all.

The ceasefire agreement seems to be observed only by humans...

Just as Lu Dayong was getting angry, the bus started moving. Well, out of sight, out of mind, he closed his eyes.

In less than half an hour, the vehicle entered Dashi City and parked in the parking lot. Lu Dayong got out of the car and went home.

But as soon as he arrived at his doorstep, he heard a crying sound. He was slightly taken aback, and then his expression changed, because the crying sound was coming from inside his house, and his front door was open.

Suddenly, he thought of something and slammed the door open with a loud bang.

”Light rain!”

Upon entering the house, I discovered that there were quite a few people inside. My younger sister, Xiaoyu, was crying loudly at the door, while several adults were searching for something inside.

The entire room had been ransacked.

The door was suddenly flung open, startling everyone. They instinctively turned around, and when they saw it was Lu Dayong, they paused for a moment, then one of them lazily said, ”Dayong’s back?”

”elder brother!”

When Lu Xiaoyu saw Lu Dayong return, she immediately felt as if she had found her pillar of support. She ran over crying and accused him in a sobbing voice: ”They suddenly rushed in, saying they were looking for something, and ransacked the house. They even smashed Mommy and Daddy’s photos!”

As she spoke, she took out the photo frame she was holding and showed it to Lu Dayong. Lu Dayong’s face turned ashen. He looked at the person who had spoken, his eyes blazing with anger, which he forcefully suppressed.

”Uncle, what do you mean by this?”

”It’s nothing. Didn’t I tell you last time? I asked you to hand over my things. You didn’t, so I had to come and find them myself.”

His uncle, who looked to be in his forties, had a carefree and irresponsible demeanor.

The young men who had gone inside and ransacked the house also came out, leaning against the doorframe and watching the scene with smiles.

Lu Dayong was trembling all over.

A month ago, his uncle, who had never cared about his siblings since his parents died, suddenly came to his door, saying that his parents had taken something from him and asked Lu Dayong to give it to him.

Lu Dayong was shocked because his parents had left behind a valuable inheritance.

That was a Tier 2 piece of equipment of superior quality.

If you were to sell it, it would be worth at least tens of thousands of gold coins.

His parents left that item and some gold coins in a private safe deposit box at the bank, along with a letter to him... The letter clearly stated that these items were for him and his sister.

The parents knew that the profession was very dangerous and that the child could die at any time, so they left these things as a precaution.

In case something happens to them, having these things will at least provide some protection for the brother and sister.

Lu Dayong had spent almost all of his gold coins over the past two years, but he hadn’t touched that Tier 2 Excellent equipment.

Firstly, he was too young before, and he was afraid of being harmed if he sold it.

Secondly, he didn’t know if he or his sister would awaken. If they didn’t, there was nothing to say; selling them was the only solution.

They could have exchanged it for a life where the two siblings would be well-fed and clothed for the rest of their lives.

But if it awakens, we’ll see if it’s usable... If it is, maybe we can keep it a little longer. After all, it’s an excellent-grade equipment, something many in the Combat Division might not even have.

If it’s unusable, you can sell it... that would be enough to exchange for a whole set of Tier 1 elite equipment.

Anyway, the decision-making power is in his hands.

But to his utter surprise, his uncle suddenly came to his door and made it clear that his parents had his things and had left them to him and his siblings.

But when asked what it was specifically, the other party was vague. They only said it was at least a Tier 2 Excellent item.

Lu Dayong isn’t stupid... Let’s not even talk about how his parents and uncle’s relationship wasn’t good to begin with. Even if it were, if the equipment really belonged to his uncle, wouldn’t he be able to say exactly what it was?

It’s obvious that during this period, he heard from somewhere that his parents might have obtained Tier 2 Excellent equipment or items, and came to extort money from them!
Lu Dayong naturally lied and claimed he didn’t know.

At the time, the uncle didn’t say anything, but what happened next... this uncle showed Lu Dayong what shamelessness really meant!
He comes to our house to cause trouble almost every few days. He was alright before, at least he didn’t hit us. But a few days ago, when he wasn’t home, he barged in and terrified Xiaoyu.

Here we are again today!
”I told you, my parents didn’t leave me anything, why won’t you believe me?!”

Lu Dayong was so angry that his whole body was trembling.

But he was only a level 3 Shield Guardian.

But his uncle is a Level 1 senior professional.

Although he has never broken through to the second tier, he is still much stronger than Lu Dayong!
“Dayong, your parents died early, and I don’t blame you for not raising you well, but your uncle wants to teach you… If you take something that belongs to someone else, you should return it to them. That’s the principle.”

His uncle chuckled, then stood up, glanced at the ransacked room, and said with a smile, ”The thing was in your backpack, wasn’t it? Give it back to me, and you and your sister can live in peace from now on. Otherwise...”

He smiled, not saying everything, but the threat was already evident in his words.

Lu Dayong gritted his teeth: ”You keep talking about your stuff, but what exactly is it?!”

”A Tier 2 Excellent-grade item. Don’t you know exactly what it is?” His uncle said calmly.

”you!”

Lu Dayong was trembling with anger.

Yet he couldn’t utter a single word.

His uncle paused for a moment, then laughed and said, ”Looks like you haven’t made up your mind yet... No rush, take your time. Brothers, let’s go, come again next time.”

His friends laughed and joked with him, then ignored the crying Lu Xiaoyu and the angry Lu Dayong, and left leisurely.

All that remained was a mess in the room...

Lu Dayong was furious to the extreme, his forehead veins bulging, but after a long while, his fists limply loosened.

He knew his uncle’s current goal... was to harass Lu Dayong to the point of being unable to bear it any longer. Then, he would give him the things.

If it weren’t for the fact that he had already awakened to become a professional, the item would most likely be in his professional backpack.

If he dies, although there is a certain probability that the item will fall out... the greater probability is that it will simply disappear, rather than being 100% guaranteed to fall out.

...His uncle probably already killed him long ago!
”elder brother……”

Lu Xiaoyu was only thirteen years old, and she cried with tears streaming down her face.

Lu Dayong snapped out of his daze and patted her head: ”It’s okay, it’s okay...”

They said it was nothing...

But what to do next?
Sell the items?

Selling it wouldn’t help.

Let’s not even talk about whether his uncle is secretly watching him all the time.

Even if we successfully sell it... so what?

His uncle wouldn’t give up until he achieved his goal.

He could give the things to his uncle, but he couldn’t suppress the anger in his chest.

Besides... who said that if he gave it to his uncle, his uncle would definitely let him go?
He might wonder if there’s more!
Lu Dayong trembled all over.

His future seemed utterly bleak because of this uncle!

……

Qin Fang finished reading the other party’s biography and was speechless.

”Just because of a Tier 2 Excellent Equipment?”

Excellent-grade equipment?
He wouldn’t even bother picking it up.

Let alone top-tier equipment.

He couldn’t be bothered to watch anything epic.

Only legendary items can pique his interest.

That’s a bit tragic.

He looked at the headhunting firm and thought for a moment.

[Initiate the employee recruitment process.]

He chose to recruit the employee.

The headhunting firm responded immediately.

[The recruitment process for this employee has been initiated... Invitations will be sent out. Within 24 hours, the invitation will be delivered to the employee in an appropriate manner.]

The recruitment process has begun.
