Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 533: Vs 2nd Wolf Brother Furao

The one who went against the second wolf brother on the 5th battleground was Maya.

”Wife, don’t lose,” Marcus shouted as Maya arrived on the battleground.

Maya didn’t look back, only tightened her grip on her Grim Weapon: Nebulice Daggers, as the ground beneath her crystallized in a spreading bloom of amethyst frost.

The signal dropped.

Fuaro launched first — a blur of dark fur and claws.

Maya reacted instantly. She inhaled, and the temperature plunged.

Her daggers cut arcs through the air, releasing streams of Ice that didn’t behave like normal frost at all. The slashes became ribbons of liquid crystal, twisting mid-flight, changing direction as if alive.

They struck Fuaro dead-on.

The impact froze the ground under him, coating the arena in a jagged explosion of violet-blue shards. For a moment, Fuaro’s movement slowed, frost clinging to his limbs in branching crystal veins.

But then—

Crack.

He forced through it, ripping free as waves of green and black burst out. The frost shattered around him in a hail of violet fragments as he lunged again.

This time, he was faster.

Maya slid backward, feet gliding on conjured ice, leaving trails of glowing frost that formed a fractal labyrinth in her wake. She twisted and slammed her palm on the ground.

Shraaa!

A violent spike of violet ice erupted upward beneath Fuaro, shaped like a crystalline spear of purple lightning.

It pierced his shoulder, drawing a bark of pain as he staggered.

Maya didn’t stop. She raised both arms.

From her daggers erupted a storm — shards of prism-ice, swirling like a miniature galaxy of frozen stars. They slashed across the arena, cutting the air with a sound like cracking glass.

Fuaro took the hits, blood freezing on impact.

But then he roared — a full, animalistic bellow that shook the frost itself — and burst forward.

Way faster than before!

It was like the more she hit him, the stronger and faster he became.

Maya reacted a moment late.

His claw slammed into her ribs, sending her skidding across the ice she created, cracking it all the way. She coughed blood, breath frosting instantly in front of her face.

Still—she rose.

Her eyes ignited with violet.

”Exotic Art...” she whispered, freezing the arena with the force of her will, ”...Glaciar Doom.”

The world around her erupted in a circular field of glowing frost. Her domain shifted. Purple and blue crystals sprang from the ground like blooming flowers, surrounding her in a deadly garden of ice.

The temperature dropped so fast the air whined.

Fuaro charged straight into the field, shrinking his domain to his body and resisting Maya’s powers.

The crystals detonated upon contact, each explosion a silent burst of frost that forced even the wolf to recoil as his fur hardened into brittle ice.

Maya dashed through the crystalline fog, daggers aimed for his throat—

But Fuaro’s instincts and agility were in sync.

He twisted at the last possible inch.

His claw caught her side, ripping through the frost aura. Before she regained her footing, he grabbed her by the neck, lifted her, and slammed her into the frozen floor.

The Eclipse Bloom shattered under the force.

BOOM!

”Maya!” Marcus shouted. ”Tsk, this wolf is stronger than the other wolf.”

Maya tried to rise—her fingers trembling, frost still forming from her wounds—but Fuaro’s heel pinned her down. His claws sank into her shoulder, holding her in place.

She struggled. Her Ice still flickered, trying to form one last bloom.

But a deathly threat caught her breath.

”It’s over.” Fuaro’s voice rang as his eyes met hers. ”Strong ice.”

The fight was over.

Marcus went up and brought her down.

Many Regalons knew they were not a match for this wolf beastfolk Furao, so they didn’t participate in the dice rolling.

Of the remaining who rolled, Viktor won.

”Finally.” Viktor took out his Grim Weapon, the Axe Rhitchit, and went up.

The fifth battleground was still scarred by Maya’s defeat — violet-blue ice spread in jagged patterns, glittering under the arena lights like shattered gemstones. The air hadn’t yet recovered; every breath still stung with exotic frost.

Fuaro rolled his shoulders, cracking the remaining ice off his fur in green-black bursts of energy.

Viktor landed with a heavy thud, the ground trembling under his weight. Frost spread outward from the point of impact like spiderwebs.

”Another one with ice-based powers?” Furao raised his eyebrows.

Viktor grinned in response, planting Axe Rhitchit into the ground and stretching his thick, corded arms.

”Be careful, my ice burns.”

The signal dropped.

Fuaro moved first, blasting forward in a streak of black-green fury. Viktor slammed his axe upward, releasing a slash of crimson frost-fire.

A shockwave boomed out as Fuaro’s claws met Viktor’s burning frost. The collision sent shards of red and green ice scattering everywhere.

Viktor smirked. ”Hot, huh?”

Fuaro’s eyes flashed. ”We’ll see.”

He lunged again, claw descending like a guillotine. Viktor twisted, meeting the strike with the haft of his axe. The ground under them shattered as frost-fire and green-black aura clashed.

Viktor retaliated immediately. ”Infernal Frost Arc!”

He swung horizontally, releasing a crescent of red-blue ice-flame that blasted Fuaro across the battleground. It struck his arm and froze it solid while burning everything underneath, causing steam-like frost to erupt from the wolf’s skin.

Fuaro snarled and shattered the frozen arm with brute force. The skin beneath was blistered and pale.

”Interesting,” he growled.

He vanished.

A blur—then Viktor’s head whipped to the side as Fuaro appeared behind him, slashing downward.

Viktor blocked again, but slid back several meters, leaving two parallel trenches in the ice.

The wolf wasn’t slowing. If anything, he was getting faster with each exchange.

Viktor grinned wider. ”Good. Come then!”

Frost-fire spiraled around his body as he charged, Axe Rhitchit exploding with red flames of ice.

”Blazing Glacier!”

The ground erupted. Red frost flames surged upward, forming a cyclone that towered around Viktor, swirling like burning ice storm clouds.

Fuaro shot into his own domain, his aura condensing into a tight layer, wolf-shaped shadows swirling around him.

He burst forward, claws glowing.

”Rendstorm Claw!”

Five green-black crescent waves flew at Viktor like homing fangs.

Viktor swung down.

”Flare-Cleave!”

His axe split all five waves in one brutal slash. The explosion that followed made the air quake.

Fuaro didn’t hesitate. The moment the mist cleared, he was already on Viktor, striking in a blur.

”Shadow Fang!”

His claws carved across Viktor’s chest. The warrior staggered but countered instantly with a fist burning with frost-fire.

The punch landed square in Fuaro’s gut.

A burst of red-white frost detonated from the wolf’s stomach, freezing inside his muscles.

Fuaro coughed blood that instantly froze mid-air.

”What... is this ice...?”

”It freezes you outside,” Viktor answered, pulling back his fist, ”and burns you inside.”

Fuaro roared, his aura bursting violently, pushing Viktor back with raw force. His claws slashed rapidly—Savage Wind Maul, Wildheart Drill—each strike slamming into Viktor’s body and blasting frost-fire free with every impact.

Blood froze along Viktor’s torso, but he only laughed.

He slammed his axe into the ground. The frost-fire surged upward violently.

INFERNAL GLACIER ERUPTION!

A pillar of red-white freezing flames exploded under Fuaro’s feet, swallowing him whole. A deafening roar filled the arena as the pillar shot skyward, flickering like an inverted volcano.

Fuaro screamed inside the flaming frost, muscles convulsing as both heat and cold shredded his aura. He burst out, barely, fur smoking, breath ragged.

Viktor stepped through the dissipating eruption like a demon of burning ice.

”Still up?” he asked.

Fuaro lunged desperately with a final burst of green-black power.

Viktor met him head-on, axe blazing like hellish frost.

Their clash detonated the battleground—

CRACK—!

Fuaro’s aura shattered like glass.

He dropped to one knee, coughing violently, then collapsed fully, unconscious as Viktor’s ice finally dominated his internals and reduced his Life Power to a threateningly low level.

Viktor staggered, catching his breath, frost-fire flickering weakly around him. His Life Power was also low.

He planted Axe Rhitchit into the frozen ground and exhaled deeply.

But in the end, victory was his.
