Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 505: Pre-Departure Outlaw Event (2/2)

After taking a day more working and resting, Regalons were ready.

With a few additions in Regalons breaking through, the current number of Regalons stood at fifty.

All of them veiled themselves, completely hidden from others, thanks to Lily’s technique: Veil of Eternal Night.

They moved unhindered through the streets, branches, and canopies of the city.

...

Oasis of Life Plaza.

The fifty shadows silently drifted past people and arrived in the ground hall.

Almond shared the live 3D map of this place to everyone and assigned them position into various spots.

He only said one thing to them.

Leave no one alive in this plaza.

Everyone’s eyes flickered as they activated Eyes of Truth and vanished.

In the center of the ground hall, Almond unsheathed his sword slightly before everyone in the hall felt an oppressive pressure.

And then, hundreds of people were sliced into pieces the same size as their eyes with pitch black border around their cut-off parts.

Everyone was still alive.

Their pupils trembled as they saw the thousands of body pieces around them.

A second later, all of them lit up in an abyssal sparkling fire before vanishing, turning into spirits for Almond.

’Lily, let’s clear stronger individuals first and fast. There are three Grim Adventurers, but we can kill them.’

...

Almond arrived in another hall where a Grim Adventurer was present.

He had already sensed the massacre and was checking out various halls before Almond suddenly appeared before him.

”Who are you?!”

As he asked, five arrows shot at Almond with purple and orange flames, bearing pure destructive power.

Undodgable arrows that could only be defended.

Or...

Almond’s eyes flickered as all five arrows dispersed, destroyed, vanished in a blink.

The Grim Adventurer felt death as he quickly covered himself in a barrier while preparing to strike a more powerful attack at Almond.

Alas, he saw Almond vanishing before him and lost his presence entirely for a moment.

In the next moment, Almond was behind him. His hand, which looked like an abyssal black with starry sparks, passed through the barrier without any obstruction and got hold of the red-haired man’s neck.

’No...’

The man was enveloped in blazing void flames of Voiderran and his exotic element, Astral Auralith, boosted by his True Concepts, as overwhelming pain assaulted his entire being.

Almond had already vanished.

But the red-haired man suffered for a full five seconds before turning into ashes and dust.

Lily killed the second Grim Adventurer, and Admiral Rudra killed the third one.

These three Grim Adventurers were early to mid progress, and they had more than twice the stats. However, in terms of quality of their powers, Almond and others were far more powerful, allowing them to dish out powerful enough attacks that could kill people with higher stats than them.

In another hall where people were being tortured in the cages, Natalia arrived. Rage filled her eyes.

”Die!”

All those poor tortured people were wrapped in a strange bubble with colorful hues before a musical note appeared above each customer and staff as Natalia didn’t hold back in the slightlest.

The musical note released vibrations so powerful that all customers and staff members were instantly dispersed into motes before getting absorbed as her spirit using her Regalon geneline.

Natalia looked at the people and bit her lips. ’Almond, do we keep these people here?’

’Yeah. Let them remain here so they can serve as proof. Although the current leader of this republic is a piece of trash, there are also some oppositions of this party who want to ruin him. This exposition will create distrust among the public who supported him in the elections.’

In just fifteen seconds, over three thousand people who were in this Oasis of Life Plaza were killed with impunity.

Before living, Almond made a huge blast and destroyed the entire plaza while pulling out all people who were suffering on the surface from the underground.

The fifty shadows vanished and soon left the city, onwards to the Celkrom Kingdom.

...

The Lokamanya City still bustled as though nothing had happened. Caravans rolled through the vine-clad streets, families strolled beneath archways of living wood, and beastfolk traders shouted their wares at open-air stalls. But deep beneath the hum of life, a cavernous silence festered where the Oasis of Life Plaza once stood.

Ash. Smoke. A hollow wound gnawed into the city’s roots.

Those who noticed the absence whispered in confusion, their voices low, careful. No one dared question too loudly. The guards who arrived first found nothing but shattered stone and scorched air that made their lungs burn with every breath. They called for reinforcements, but the deeper they searched, the more the unease grew. There were no bodies. No signs of resistance. No witnesses. Just emptiness that weighed like judgment itself.

By the time the news crawled to the upper seats of Lokamanya, panic had already spread.

In the heart of the Republic’s ruling hall, the Beastfolk Council erupted in clamor.

”They dared do this in our city?!” a tiger-headed elder roared, clawed fingers shredding the arm of his chair.

”Three Grim Adventurers... erased,” a wolfkin strategist whispered hoarsely, sweat dripping down his muzzle. ”Not escaped. Not slain in a fair clash. Erased. In less than a quarter of a minute...”

And far away—already beyond the borders, hidden beneath Lily’s eternal veil—fifty shadows cut through the night in silence. Not a trace of them could be followed, not a breath of their presence leaked.

The Celkrom borderlands stretched quietly beneath a pale moon, forests rising like blackened spires around forgotten paths. For two days, the Regalons moved like shadows between roots and fog, their presence erased by Lily’s veil.

When the path broke open into a clearing, they encountered their first settlement of the kingdom—a village of exquisite timber huts with a community of elves.

But smoke was rising, and faint screams tore against the night. Bandits swarmed the village like carrion birds, blades flashing, torches hissing.

Utter chaos was present as all bandits were Tier-2 powerhouses—Grim Bandits, equivalent to Grim Students.

The fifty of them chased around the villagers while sealing the village, inflicting misery on them for their entertainment.

But a second later, everyone and everything froze in absolute spatial lock by Almond.

A moment later, Lily’s eyes flickered as a harrowing monster appeared above each of the bandits.

The space resumed.

Admiral Rudra, Krala, and others quickly saved villagers, healed them, and fixed the village in the blink of an eye.

The fifty bandits were screaming as if their souls were being chewed.

They were alive, inside the dreadolons’ stomach, getting constantly tortured.

Lily created this move after leaving Oasis of Life Plaza to torture people who tortured other people.

The elves, who were mostly Grim Residents with only five Grim Students in their ranks, knelt before Regalons and expressed their utmost gratitude for saving them and rebuilding their village into a far superior one.

’Let’s take a break here and get information from them.’

...

By massacring people in the plaza, Regalons gained two things.

First, their experience as Grim Outlaws increased by 9% to 10%.

Second, all fifty of them gained a title.
