Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 506: Golden Void Outlaws (1)

After getting some information from the village and staying for a night of rest, Regalons departed towards the center of this Kingdom’s territory, where its capital city lay.

According to the information they got, there was currently an intense power struggle ongoing in the capital between three factions. The kingdom had a pretty good foundation, including one mystic realm of Tier-2, making it a resourceful place.

And due to having business ties with the Lokamanya City, the new ruler of the Kingdom was bound to get strong and acquire a bright future.

After half a day’s travel, the Regalons arrived at one of the two major cities of the Kingdom. They were still halfway to the capital.

Yopeik City.

Regalons acquired general information, but they still needed to know more than what they got from that small village.

”We need to know the main players and how strong they are in the capital city,” Almond said. ”Scatter and collect.”

All fifty regalons scattered into small groups, going to the different areas of this big city.

Almond and Lily moved as a couple.

The Regalons did not slink into Yopeik City like ghosts, nor try to pass as invisible. They came in like countless others did each day. Families moving with carts, merchants weighing packs on their backs, adventurers striding with their weapons showing. Some looked like tired travelers, others like hopeful youths chasing a brighter life.

Fifty of them split naturally into smaller knots, their disguises unremarkable to the guards at the gate. A couple with a child. A trio of wandering mercenaries. A farmer with his supposed nephews. A group of foreign traders who kept muttering in a tongue no one recognized.

Yopeik was alive with noise, and so the Regalons simply became part of the noise.

Inside the city, they scattered again—just enough to not draw eyes, never together in a swarm. The taverns, markets, temples, and guildhouses became their hunting ground for information. Their questions were careful, always tucked into the flow of ordinary conversation.

In the market square, Lily’s hand brushed over a basket of dried herbs as she spoke to a kindly old vendor. ”So much talk about the capital lately... is it true things are unsettled?”

At another corner, Almond shared a jug of ale with two city guards, listening more than speaking, letting them loosen their tongues with each gulp.

Other Regalons played their parts as well. Some asked over dice games in smoky taverns, some shared bread with beggars, and others slipped coins to informants who always had an ear to the ground.

Piece by piece, the picture formed.

The three factions.

First, the Royal Family of this kingdom.

It was heading to the path of self-destruction because the King had gone mad, and some of his recent decisions hurt many, both commoners and nobles.

The three princes and the eldest princess were holding onto their power with their supporters, but the lack of unity between the princes was a cause of both good results and problems.

But an equally opposing power was the faction formed by the nobles.

Cross Light faction.

Headed by the three dukes and other nobles, steadily gathering power to shatter the throne and take over.

Their aim was to turn this kingdom into an oligarchy, wanting to rule it as a group that controlled it all.

And because of the clashes of these two forces that disregarded the lives of others to achieve their goals, the third faction was formed.

Rebel Faction.

No banner, no throne, no palace. Just fire in their blood. Some of the nobles and leaders in the Kingdom couldn’t see any more of the destruction of people, so they formed this faction, recruiting people and helping those suffering.

Naturally, their strong powerhouses also did their best to oppose and eliminate the people of the Royal family and Cross Light.

Each of these three factions had Grim Nobles as leaders.

With the current power of Regalons, they couldn’t not take over any of the three factions by force.

They were not strong enough to defeat Grim Nobles yet.

They also needed to gather experience and get stronger.

So they had decided to join one of the three factions.

As for which one? That was obvious

Rebel Faction.

After eating in the Spirit Voiderran Realm, the Regalons quietly departed from the city and continued their journey towards the kingdom capital.

They had bought the map, so on the way, they decided to visit all settlements and act as ’Grim Outlaws’.

Here’s a continuation written in your requested style, keeping it sharp, vivid, and impactful:

The Regalons left Yopeik without fanfare.

But the path they carved toward the capital was nothing quiet.

Each settlement they stepped into—whether a dusty roadside town or a bustling trade post—was heavy with the same stench: exploitation. Local lords fattened themselves while their people starved. Adventurer gangs turned predators, pillaging under noble blessing. City heads drunk with power, propped up by Grim Adventurers who ruled through fear.

Almond gave no long speeches. Lily gave no mercy.

When night fell on a border village, the Regalons descended like a storm. A guildmaster who sold children to Cross Light’s agents was strung up on his own hall’s gate. In another town, they tore through a gang of rogue tamers who kept spirit beasts chained and bled for rituals—the beasts freed, the tamers left as corpses in the mud.

More than once, Regalons walked into the halls of a city head, smiling like travelers seeking audience, only to walk out past shattered walls and blood-slicked tiles. Grim Adventurers who thought themselves untouchable fell in silence, their heads left in the streets.

The people whispered first. Then shouted. Then sang. The general residents who simply wanted to live peacefully and not die at whims felt like shackles of despairs were burned away by those mysterious people.

”Golden Void,” they called them. Shadows who hunted villains. Hands that struck where justice had withered.

Regalons didn’t want to expose the name ’Regalons’ just yet.

To the nobles and royals, their actions were chaos incarnate because their setups were foiled.

Caravans that carried sacrificial victims never reached their altars. The Royal Family and Cross Light faction both had altars of deities, which were a whole different category of artfacts that Grimverse rewarded during its events.

These altars could be used for various things in two distinct ways. One was a harmless way, and another was an evil way. It depended on the person possessing the altars on which way they wanted.

The evil way was naturally easy to use for the Royal Family and Cross Factions, as they could sacrifice the residents by suppressing them.

But with Regalons making this move, over one-third of their setups were destroyed.

Tax collectors who abused people vanished into forests, their coin redistributed by faceless hands.

Settlements that once fueled forbidden rituals for both the Royal Family and Cross Light were gutted clean—no more pawns, no more blood to bleed.

By the time Regalons neared the capital, their name had spread faster than their feet.

It took them almost two days to reach the capital because they visited various towns and cities for their Grim Outlaw activity, but it was worth it.

All of them had progressed over 50% in their experience as Grim Outlaws. the progress was slowing as each percent they passed, so even though they cleaned over a couple dozen places, all of them were between 50% - 60% in progress.

In the taverns near the outer ring, the Rebel Faction’s ears pricked. Surprise turned into heated whispers.

”Who are they?”

”They struck in places we couldn’t reach yet...”

”Whoever they are, I am glad. We should also clean out the places assigned to us fast.”

”Golden Void, right? I wish that mysterious group would join us. They are pretty ruthless and eliminate everything from the root of the reports we got.”

”Our Grim Nobles are trying to use various means to locate them before the Royal Family and Cross Faction do.”

”Yeah, their actions will cause both those forces to make a move to kill them.”

”Let’s hope we can find them first.”

In the gilded halls of the Royal Family and Cross Light alike, outrage churned.

Plans frayed, supplies dwindled, sacrifices halted.

They cursed the nameless force, Golden Void Outlaws, and went all out to search for them to eliminate them before they became bigger thorns.

Regalons had arrived inside the capital. Only Almond, Lily, Big D in his cat form, Kexell turned mini-dragon, and Admiral Rudra were outside.

The rest of the Regalons went back to Spirit Voiderran Realm to train and practice, as fighting for two days had given them plenty of experience to digest and improve their moves.

Almond and others booked a courtyard. They had no lack of money thanks to the heist they did that earned them the Grim Outlaw position.

Levi also arrived and delivered them the money by selling the tier-3 crystals.

230k Tier-3 Coins. It was a substantial amount. Levi took 10% as a fee.

Suddenly, Almond and others felt something.

’Let’s go inside. It seems someone is managing to locate us.’ Almond frowned.

It was dangerous to make reckless moves for now because there were strong enemies here.

And they didn’t want Levi to interfere to save them, as that would significantly slow their progress.

”You guys made good progress in the last three days, it seems.” Levi grinned. ”People outside are trying to find you, but I guess you got a plan.”

Lily smiled, her eyes sharp. ”They caught our whiff, which means some of their Grim Nobles have skills to locate us through mystical means. But we have already dropped our name there.”

”We plan to stay inside and consolidate our power further,” Admiral said. ”There is an ongoing event in the capital from Grimverse, and that’s the best entrance for us.”

Levi blinked. ”So...”

”We’ll expose ourselves as Golden Void Outlaws, each wearing an identical flat cold mask with different symbols on cheeks depending on our style,” Almond said, an ambitious light in his eyes. ” Our identity will be completely hidden, and we’ll openly join the Rebel Faction. We’ll use this event—War of the Overlord Ocean- to complete our ascension as Grim Outlaws and ascend to Grim Students during this period.”
