Chapter 875: Invitation To The Wandering Demon Swordsman

[The Wandering Demon Swordsman’s POV – 7 Days Ago]

After the blast in the mountain cave several days ago, the wandering Demon swordsman became more cautious as he continued to look for Adina and the person who caused the explosion.

However, whenever he picked up a trail, it led him to an even more devastating explosion or massacre. At first, he ignored it.

However, as he started seeing more of these bizarre sights, his anger began to get the best of him. he felt like he was being mocked.

First, it was just the dead ends he kept encountering.

Then it escalated to the subtle messages he started receiving whenever he appeared at the sites of said massacres.

Eventually, when he began seeing the dead bodies of the beasts, which started about 20 days ago, he knew someone was mocking him, and he wanted blood.

However, everything became worse seven days ago.

Kent killed a certain Panther-type beast after a three-minute battle following the formation of his core. He didn’t use the Soul Universe in the battle, just his sword.

However, when he was done killing the beast, he didn’t leave; instead, he used the beast’s blood to leave a provocative message for the wandering Demon swordsman.

He wrote, ”Well, well, well. Looks like the title, The Wandering Demon Swordsman, was all for nothing. The wandering part was on point, for you are indeed wandering aimlessly.

Not only are you clueless, the person you were after had long left this valley, but you foolishly think you have her in your grip.

Let me tell you, Mr. Demon, you missed her by a whole month. So, instead of thinking you have what it takes to catch her and perhaps send her to your employer, here is your wake-up call.

Of course, things wouldn’t have been worse, but all this happened because a mere kid chose to meddle in your business.

You lost to a mere junior, several years younger, several realms weaker.

Now, if you think that was the worst that has ever happened to you, then I want to ask, how did you like my care package I left in the cave? Did it explode in your face, or did it blow your leg off?

By the way, I am still around, so perhaps we might cross paths. Until then, happy limping after me.”

The moment he finished reading the message, the body of the beast in front of him exploded, sending him flying backward.

”I will kill you,” the Wandering Demon Swordsman said, gritting his teeth as a few burn marks began to heal, dust all over his body.

At that time, Kent was standing 70,000 km away, watching him through the soul map. He laughed and then moved away.

---

[Six days ago]

The next day, the Wandering Demon Swordsman found another message. This time, he was ready for the explosion even before he read the message.

Naturally, after reading the message, the explosion that never happened was wiped from his mind, replaced by a soul-raging anger.

”I saw how you cursed at me when the beast exploded in your face. Hahaha... I have to say, for a Level 2 Heavenly Ascension stage demon, you sure are weak.

I’ll be sure to spread the word everywhere about how the mighty Wandering Demon Swordsman nearly lost his life to a mere explosion. I have video of both events.

Until we meet again, Mr. Wandering Demon Swordsman. I will keep my eye on you and perhaps leave you more exploding bodies.”

With the revelation that he had a video, the Wandering Demon Swordsman abandoned the idea of giving up the hunt and was now more than determined to get his hands on Kent.

He is the Wandering Demon Swordsman, the one every swordsman fears, so they left him alone to continue his wandering.

However, if this video surfaced on Planet Manelaus, he knew people would start looking down on him, and his reputation would suffer a blow.

Of course, with the kind of reputation he has, who would even be stupid enough to look down on him?

---

[Three days ago]

”I think by now you already know that I have my eyes on you, and so you should be scared. But then I know you want to kill me and sniff my blood, so how about this? Come to the Bone Cemetery.

It is three days away from your current location, and yes, I’ve accounted for your speed. So why don’t we meet there? I already have measures in place for a warm welcome.

There might be a few explosives on the way, so please be careful where you fly through or where you step.

Until we meet, then.”

The message received three days ago made the Wandering Demon Swordsman take to the air and start speeding toward the location Kent had left him.

After being humiliated in the past weeks, he had only one thing on his mind: getting his hands on Kent. He wanted to erase the humiliation, so he seized this opportunity to pursue Kent.

---

[Present Day – Inside Kent’s Soul Sea]

The primal Chaos Core was pulsing with energy as 34 powerful cores hovered over it, channeling energy into it.

Kent stood in the air watching this.

All he could do was wait for the saturation to be over.

Thankfully, by the time the 30th core was absorbed, the Primal Chaos Core gave off a low hum before a powerful burst of energy erupted from Kent’s body.

”Finally,” his core was now fully saturated.

Kent didn’t want to exaggerate it, but with his power, Spirit Lords from a Great High world wouldn’t stand a chance. Perhaps those from a Supreme High World pose some threat.

”He will be here in a few hours. I suppose this will be a good fight to see how much I can measure up against a Heavenly Ascension stage warrior.”

Though when it comes to knowledge of the path of the sword, Kent was probably at the peak of the Sword King stage; his cultivation base was merely at the Core Formation stage, and his sword energy hadn’t even reached level 6 profound stage compared to the Wandering Demon Swordsman, whose sword energy had already reached its peak.

”He will be out of my league here, but I believe things won’t be too bad if I play my cards right.” With his sword skills and Soul Universe, Kent felt like he would do just fine.

Of course, the end justifies the means, and Kent, knowing he was outmatched, had already started making plans.

After an hour, he was ready, so he sat on a tombstone and started waiting for his target.

The Wandering Demon Swordsman was perhaps taken aback when he came to a stop 10 km away, looking at the human seated on the tombstone waiting for him.

At first, he thought he was dreaming, but when he sensed Kent’s cultivation base ten different times, he just couldn’t wrap his mind around the results.

He stood there for ten good minutes, unsure of what to even think. Then he moved, and when he was 1 km away, Kent opened his eyes and smiled at him.

”The philosophy of life is a ridiculous one, don’t you think?” Kent said as he stood up and hovered in the air.

”Here you are, a mighty demon, seven realms above me, but I, a core formation stage youngster, made you come running. Isn’t that ridiculous?”
