Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 209: The Old Vs New (1)

Kent used the connection between himself and his master—since she is part of his harem—to teleport inside the arena. He appeared in a room where the Saintess was checking to see if Unity’s armor was perfect.

Of course, it was perfect, but she was just being a supportive sister to her.

”Kent... you’re here,” Unity said the moment Kent appeared inside the room.

”Sorry for the lateness. I had some minor setbacks, but I’m here now,” Kent said, walking toward her. The Saintess was also done checking her already perfect armor.

”I’m glad that you both are here,” Unity said with a sigh. She seemed to finally be at peace.

”You seem on edge,” Kent commented. ”Don’t tell me you’re having cold feet.”

”No, that’s not it. Though I never wanted this duel to happen, I guess I’m just too afraid I might not have good control of my skills and accidentally kill him,” Unity said, making Kent smirk.

”This sect is full of cowards, so they made it so you don’t really die even if you die,” Kent said, turning to his master. ”No offense.”

The Saintess just shrugged and placed her hands on Unity’s shoulders. ”You don’t have to worry about accidentally killing him. Death is not permanent, so show everyone what you’re made of, as Big Sister Vexthra said.”

Unity nodded, leaving Kent to wonder what the ladies had talked about. But since they weren’t sharing, he chose to let it slide for now.

”You ladies should continue; I have some business with the referee,” Kent said before walking away.

Fifteen minutes later, everyone was seated and ready for the duel to determine the genius between Unity and Rand.

Kent was already back and seated with his master and Ingrid, who still couldn’t understand how Kent got in.

Of course, Kent lied and said the Gate Master brought him in, but she didn’t believe him—not in the slightest.

This resulted from the shocking discovery that Kent possessed not one but multiple Golden Ambrosia apples; now, she also had one.

In truth, she kept blinking a couple of times to see if she was asleep or if this was actually happening.

Of course, Kent spent no effort telling her or answering any of her many questions. In truth, he only bought the fruit when he saw the core disciple whisper to the elder and look in his direction.

He managed to enter by shutting him up. Of course, Kent wasn’t actually planning on running away. He just wanted to leave so he could enter using the harem teleport ability.

But now that his showing off had gone too far, he could only hope this wouldn’t create too much trouble for him. Ingrid was one of those troubles. She seemed to want answers to every single thing.

Kent could only smile as Unity walked into the arena, holding her soul weapon called [Unity’s Bow]. It was the bow Vexthra made for her.

She also had a quiver on her back, but it only held three arrows.

They were ordinary arrows, but she just wanted to keep them there so that she would look cool and appear like an archer.

Or maybe they held some value...

When she entered, many began cheering for her, especially the boys, who Kent knew were thinking and imagining all kinds of nasty things—just as he was doing at the moment.

Unity might not have the curves like his other ladies, but she was undoubtedly gorgeous. So, no matter what, she was eye candy to many.

The moment she settled into her spot, a young man about Kent’s height, with short dark hair and dark pupils, walked into the arena, exuding a cold, icy aura.

As he walked inside, every step left a frozen footprint, freezing the ground behind him as he moved further into the arena.

Just like with Unity, the cheers for him were even louder. Kent looked at his showing off and gave him an 8 out of 10. Though he wanted his woman to win, he had to admit the guy knew how to show off and make an entrance.

He walked to his spot, maintaining a 300-meter distance between them. This was a duel between archers, and distance was essential, among other things.

Kent looked at this setup and nodded. However, he would be lying if he said he wasn’t worried about his woman.

Among his women, Unity was the mystery. He knew next to nothing about her true potential. Perhaps it was because she had only recently begun walking the path of an archer, but even before that, she had been an enigma.

The tower was able to determine that she possessed a very powerful bloodline. However, it wasn’t able to determine just how powerful she was.

Even after the tower awakened, Gaia still couldn’t determine her potential, unlike how she had with Elsa. So, Kent was somewhat biased toward her.

It was also the reason why he decided to use the True Name Token on her, to see if her true potential was anything close to Elsa’s, who was now the most powerful soul cultivator in the world.

He wanted to see if his woman could finally let go of her past identity as Lilian’s maid and feel comfortable being herself.

She still, in a way, saw herself as Lilian’s maid, so Kent wanted to ensure she realized her dream much faster.

So, while he couldn’t say he wasn’t worried she might lose, he was also rooting for her to win. In the end, it was she who would determine whether she would win or lose.

”Thank you all for coming,” the elder acting as the referee said.

”Before we start, I have an announcement to make,” the elder continued, taking out a jade box that looked expensive. The moment the box appeared, everyone quieted down.

”This box was delivered to me just now. Per the instructions left, whoever wins this duel will be receiving it. And though the winner can only open it, one of the items within is a Heaven Grade Bow skill.”

”_”
