Global Gods: Start with a lottery system

Chapter 43: Trapped in DeathlandThe older infected person spoke, and the language he spoke was probably similar to that of the blood weapon clan. Xu Yi, who had silently prepared the [Proficient Language] spell scroll, slowly took the scroll back.

The tip of the spear gently penetrated the skin of the parasitized striped hyena’s back neck, and with a single stroke, the entire length of fur in front of the hyena’s spine was cut open. A long, slender white worm was picked out, struggling crazily, and it was clear just by looking at it. It’s chilling.

The gray iron spear tip penetrated the insect’s body accurately, and then turned a few tiny and delicate arcs to cut the insect in half. The shiny spearhead forged from fine iron was exposed. It seemed that the blow just now consumed some gray matter, and then the sharpness was revealed. Correspondingly, the twisting insect body also lost its original activity.

He grabbed a handful of ashes in the bamboo basket around his waist and wrapped the spear tip into ashes again.

The gray-haired, older infected person obviously moved faster. After dealing with three parasitized hyenas, the younger one was still dealing with the second one.

Raising his head slightly, the older man spoke again:

”For outsiders, wandering wantonly in the cursed fog will not always be easy.”

Jay didn’t answer. He tried his best to think according to the other party’s thinking. He took out the parasitized gray spotted rabbit body and said, ”Senior, why don’t we see if this thing also has the eyes of the cleaner?”

Putting the body on the ground, he took two steps back to indicate that he had no ill intentions.

”A jumper, it’s much easier to deal with than a predator.” The tip of the spear easily cut open the gray rabbit’s back. Without anyone seeing it clearly, the older infected man picked it up lightly and then hit it hard. A slash on the ground accurately killed the insects parasitizing the body of the gray-spotted rabbit.

After silently watching the elder handle it with skillful techniques, Jay spoke again: ”Can you tell me the information related to the Cursed Mist and the Cleaner?”

Perhaps Jay’s question was too broad, but he didn’t know where to start, and people didn’t know where to start answering.

The older man’s eyes under the mask raised slightly, glanced at him, and directly responded by reciting a hoarse and low ballad:

”In the land forgotten by the gods, powerful tribes pursue twisted power, the weak are used as food, and the strong fall into madness. The ethnic groups fight, foreign enemies provoke, and the successors die from the entanglement and absurdity of reincarnation.”

”Ah, can you tell me more about this cleaner?”

”The Cleaners are just a group of lunatics who are about to get out of control. You helped me deal with five Predators before. It was not easy for Pum and I to deal with it. As a thank you, I can take you back to the tribe. You can’t stay here for a long time, otherwise you will still be here.” There will be minions of the Cleaners coming.”

He waved his hand a little hastily and looked to the side: ”Pum, hurry up. Let’s go back to the last pick-up point, get the prey and go back. Today’s hunting will not continue.”

”Yeah.” The young infected person known as Pum responded in a muffled voice. He seemed to be very cautious about meeting outsiders.

The older man’s name was Dart, who was at the front identifying the direction. I don’t know what method he used. After confirming the direction several times, he found the connecting point he mentioned.

In fact, this was a reinforced tutun with an iron lid on it. Opening the lid, Dart took out two gray spotted rabbits and began to confirm the next connection point again.

Because they have to identify the direction, the two infected people are not willing to get on the exaggerated iron bump. In their opinion, there is so much metal, so it is better to use it to make more spearheads. The spearheads they use are polished by hand, flat, short and sharp at both ends, and have the effect of chopping.

As a negotiator, Jay naturally couldn’t leave the two of them behind, so he accompanied them all the way.

Hoshgris lived up to his 0.8 intelligence and did his duty, stopping the truck as soon as he reached 500 meters. Amid the two astonished looks, he anchored a metal pile vigorously, replaced it with copper wire, and then ran back to the cab to restart the vehicle.

However, they were shocked. The two infected people also saw that the other party seemed to be judging the position in a way similar to the contact point, so they did not pay more attention.

As the connecting points came closer, Dart stopped Hoshgris from continuing to anchor the metal piles. After getting Xu Yi’s acquiescence, he did not persist.

Xu Yi could understand that after all, they had just met and the two infected people still had some concerns. Driving a metal pile to the door of someone’s house was equivalent to completely determining the tribe’s position in the thick fog.

With only the last section of the journey left, Dart’s movements slowed down significantly. As long as he didn’t completely change the direction and the village gate couldn’t be touched, the wall could still be touched.

Jay also took the opportunity to talk and inquire again. Before, the two of them were vigilant about their surroundings and also judged the direction through some subtle traces. They were almost fully focused, so he couldn’t disturb them.

”I heard you call this place a place forgotten by the gods before. Have you ever heard of the name of the God of the Wasteland?”

”God of the Wasteland? There was a strange half-flesh, half-mechanical creature that was not corroded by the white curse before. I heard a similar name from him. Could it be that this god noticed this curse? place?”

Jay and the other flesh and blood thugs were tightly wrapped in chemical protective clothing, and Dart and Pum did not discover their identities.

”God’s eyes are always watching the wasteland.” Although Jay is not a priest yet, when it comes to faith, he actually shows a bit of a bishop’s demeanor.

With this statement alone, his previous poor performance could be completely ignored, and Xu Yi would definitely not treat him badly in the future.

Dart took off his mask, revealing his fair but deeply wrinkled face for the first time. At this time, there was a glimmer of hope on his face: ”May God protect this land.”

The following conversation was much easier. According to Dart, the cleaners were from the Pallas tribe, one of the two most powerful tribes in the Cursed Mist. However, the curse power in their bodies was close to being out of control, so they were exiled to the wild by the tribe to deal with wanderer tribes like them.

The so-called jumpers and predators are all ”cursed beasts” controlled by the cleaners. The flesh of these parasitized beasts is full of curse power, and eating them will deepen the curse on themselves.

He had also touched the edge of the cursed mist where he could see the ”skylight”, but his ancestors had already tried to escape from the cursed mist at the cost of rapid exhaustion and death.

This fog is like a dead place that can only be entered but not exited, tightly strangling the throat of any creature that dares to enter it. Inside the fog and outside the fog, one step away, but it seems like two worlds!

In the mist, two sections of crude wooden walls appeared, with a somewhat dilapidated village gate in the middle. The village gate was obviously not big enough for the truck to pass through, so everyone had to get off the car and walk in.

The fog was so thick that it seemed as if there was no movement at all. Under this condensed white fog, this piece of land seemed to begin to gradually reveal its hideous appearance...
