Earth's Greatest Magus

The next aspect Emery chose to examine was the power of the Khaos seeds.

The moment the thought settled, he called for Yuria.

She appeared almost immediately, emerging from the shadow with the same quiet efficiency that had always defined her presence. As she stepped forward, she lowered her head slightly in acknowledgment.

“You called for me, Lord?”

The title made Emery pause for a brief moment.

Yuria had been with him since his academy days. Back then, she had guided him like a senior, even an older sister. Yet ever since he had taken command of the faction, she had grown increasingly formal, insisting on addressing him with the respect his position demanded.

Emery frowned faintly, though he did not correct her. He understood her intention.

Emery moved directly to the purpose of her summons. To bestowed her as Khaos seed, and Yuria accept without question. This time, the process was different.

Previously, the bestowal of a Khaos seed had required the assistance of the Khaos guardians, each step guided and stabilized by their presence. Now, however, Emery could feel Khaos responding directly to his will,.

With previously learned chant and focused intent, the process unfolded with surprising ease. There was no resistance, no instability, and no need for external support.

The moment Yuria accepted the intent, a thread of Khaos energy extended from Emery and settled within her, embedding itself naturally. The mark stabilized almost instantly, creating a link that was both clear and deeply rooted.

Emery felt the change.

A new waypoint had formed—one that carried Yuria’s unique signature, anchoring her existence within the broader system of Khaos.

Through that connection, Emery could sense her presence with remarkable clarity, while Yuria, in turn, gained access to a portion of Khaos’ power.

Then, with a simple command, he guided her to enter. Yuria stepped forward and, in the next instant, stood within the Khaos domain.

For a fleeting moment, her composure faltered. The overwhelming presence of Khaos energy—was enough to unsettle even a seasoned magus. Yet, as expected, she quickly suppressed her reaction, her posture straightening as she took in her surroundings with controlled focus.

To Emery suprised, her arrival triggered a reaction within the domain.

The stone table shifted.

The star map rippled as new markings appeared across its surface, scattered across multiple regions. Unlike the dynamic waypoints, these points remained steady, fixed in place, carrying a different kind of presence.

Emery studied them carefully.

Two markings appeared within Golden City, while two others were located in Dawnstar. Another rested within the Magus Academy, with several more distributed across the Magus Alliance territories. Beyond that, a single point lay deep within the elven dominion, distant yet unmistakable.

Understanding came gradually.

They were remnants.

Traces of individuals who had once been linked to him through Khaos seeds, their connections severed when the gate had broken, yet not entirely erased from the system. The marks remained embedded within the structure, waiting to be reactivated.

That realization explained the ease of Yuria’s bestowal. It had not been rebuilt from nothing—it had been restored, its foundation preserved beneath the surface all along.

Emery’s attention shifted to the runes surrounding the table, where another subtle change had taken place. One of the engraved patterns had expanded slightly, its structure adjusting as though accommodating new parameters. As he examined it more closely, he came to understand its meaning.

Capacity.

He now had access to sixteen Khaos seeds. Fifteen connections he could establish across the vast expanse of the superclusters.

The implication was significant.

Without hesitation, Emery turned to Yuria and began issuing instructions.

He directed her to locate the two marked individuals within Golden City, confident that they corresponded to Ha Ron, his student who had taken a position among the city’s enforcers, and Veyarel, the Grand Magus currently residing within the Golden palace as he recovered his strength.

Although he already had means of communication through the Cosmic Palace network, particularly through Rosia and Veyarel for matter regarding Terra and Golden city, the Khaos seed offered something far more efficient and immediate. It was not merely a channel of communication—it was a direct anchor, a waypoint, and a bridge that could collapse distance itself.

With it, he could gather information faster, respond more swiftly, and, if necessary, intervene without delay.

Emery did not hesitate to grant them limited Khaos seed access, as both were within the small circle of people he truly trusted.

One was a was his own trusted disciple, and the other was a senior who had endured a harrowing life-and-death struggle within the belly of a leviathan beast for over thirty years.

After Yuria found them, Emery could meet them personally, using Yuria’s waypoint to travel.

“Fast and convinent” Emery muttered.

Emery’s gaze returned across the scattered markings on the map, each one representing a connection waiting to be restored, and he began to organize them with deliberate precision.

Morgana and Soltz would be the next to receive the Khaos seed once he returned to Dawnstar,. After them would come Shinta, his daughter, still within the Academy, whose safety remained his foremost priorities.

Beyond that, he would need to locate his other students. Dillion and Kingrig who could open a path toward Thrax. There was also Annara, currently within the Bat Bloodline territory.

As for those serving within the military, Emery made a more restrained decision. Of the three, only Anpu would be granted the Khaos seed for now. The twins could wait until their roles became more essential.

Then his attention shifted outward, settling on a single marking far removed from the others, deep within the elven dominion.

Lyanna Darkmoon.

The faint trace of her presence lingered there, a remnant of a connection that had long since been severed, yet not entirely erased. Emery’s thoughts slowed as he considered the possibilities.

Was she still hiding under the identity of Azula Raine, maintaining her position in secrecy, or had she already reclaimed her place within the Darkmoon family, rising once more within the ranks of elven nobility?

Either outcome carried significance.

Either outcome made her worth finding.

Renewing that connection was no longer a matter of convenience—it was a necessity. A dark elf of her standing could provide access, influence, and information within a territory that remained largely beyond Emery’s reach. More importantly, she could help him locate someone far more critical.

The drow dark elf, Kieran.

The final Khaos fragment—the Death Gate.

The last clue Emery possessed came from Talaro’s memory, pointed toward the dark elf territories. According to that memory, Kieran had been hiding among the Occulus faction, traitors to the Magus Alliance who had vanished into the shadows of the elven domains. However, the information was over twenty years old, and there was no certainty that it still held true.

Even so, it was a starting point.

If Lyanna could be found, if the connection could be restored, then through her, Emery might be able to pick up the trail once more. And once he closed the distance—Khaos itself would respond, allowing him to sense the last gate presence and guide him to its location.

Emery exhaled slowly, letting the weight of his thoughts settle before pushing them aside.

There were still many secrets within the Khaos domain he had yet to uncover, and too many unanswered questions lingering at the edges of his understanding.

But what he needed now was to set his plans into motion.

Emery drew his awareness back into his inner domain, briefly considering whether to dispatch one of his avatars to begin acting on his behalf.

Only then did he truly register how much time had passed.

Nearly three weeks had gone by since he received the heavy sword ruler from his master. During that time, his dark avatar had been entirely devoted to mastering it.

The weapon’s immense weight and unfamiliar nature had made the process difficult, and even now its movements carried a trace of stiffness. Yet the improvement was undeniable. The avatar had already adapted enough to execute basic combat techniques with stability, and more importantly, it had begun training in a method specifically suited to such a weapon—the Three Axis Mountain Sword technique. Although still in its early stages, it showed clear promise.

His light avatar, on the other hand, was focused on a more ambitious goal. With Emery’s recovery to the third layer of the cosmos, its soul power had increased significantly, allowing it to resume its attempts at controlling the top-grade Sun and Moon Disc. The results had been encouraging. While it could not yet fully wield the artifact, it had succeeded in stabilizing and activating its first form, albeit within certain limits. Even so, this marked a substantial breakthrough.

Both avatars were progressing well, each in the midst of critical development that he was unwilling to disrupt.

Suppressing the urge to act immediately, he decided to postpone further exploration of the Khaos domain for the time being. With that, Emery withdrew from his inner domain completely.

The moment he stepped out of the training chamber, however, an emergency message was waiting for him.
