Earth's Greatest Magus

Since the breaking of the ancient seal, the entire planet of Valaryn seemed to writhe in agony. Massive natural anomalies erupted across the land—earthquakes cracked open the ground, and the very skies seemed to groan under unnatural pressure. Millions of wild orcs across the desert, many of them too young to understand the chaos around them, perished as the land itself turned against them. Entire breeding grounds were swallowed by the collapsing earth.

This cataclysm was the final, desperate gambit of the Valaryn nobles designed to enact their revenge to inflict maximum damage on their enemies.

Amid this apocalyptic chaos, the duel between General Wayne and Agis the Red Demon raged on, high above the Citadel. Their battle was a violent spectacle, a collision of immense power that lit up the storm-ridden sky.

The general, a three-cosmos warrior had held his ground for hours against Agis, an infamous two-cosmos dark elf, who wielded the dreaded cosmic flame.

His strength and endurance were unmatched among his peers, but even he was showing signs of exhaustion. His muscles bulged and trembled with exertion, his breaths came in ragged gasps, and sweat poured down his battle-scarred face.

Agis grinned, his crimson eyes gleaming with malevolence. “Impressive, General Wayne! The famed Domination Tyrant… you exceed my expectations. But your strength falls short. Prepare to become another name on my list!”

Despite his weariness, the general’s lips curved into a defiant smile. “I might not be able to defeat you,” he admitted, his voice steady despite the strain. “But I can hold you long enough for your forces to be destroyed.”

From his vantage point, General Wayne could see the battlefield below. The Valeryn seal had unleashed unimaginable destruction upon the elven forces. At least half of their numbers—over 10,000 warriors and 500 magus—had perished in the chaos. The humans, protected by the defensive formations of Citadel City, had suffered far fewer losses.

In the grand magus battles, the humans had lost four of their 14 champions. The elves, in contrast, had lost two of their six. The tide of battle, while chaotic, seemed to favor the human forces, thanks in no small part to the aid of the swarming creatures and the sandstorms that had blindsided their enemies.

None of this seemed to faze Agis. He laughed, the sound harsh and mocking. “For you, General? Let me be honest—I don’t care about them. Those troops? They’re not my men. I’m here for one purpose: to defeat you!”

Wayne’s smile widened. “Oh yeah? Well, I’m not about to lose either!”

With a roar, the general unleashed his domain, a manifestation of raw, unyielding power. The air around him shimmered, and a dozen massive spirit fists appeared, each one crackling with the full power of Law. His signature ability, [Battle Strength Transpiration], surged to its peak as he prepared to unleash his ultimate attack—[Tyrant Fist].

Agis responded in kind, preparing his powerful [Absolute Flame]. The dark elf’s cosmic flames flared brighter, forming the shape of a massive flaming beast around him. His spear, already a weapon of devastating precision, became an extension of the infernal creature, each strike now carrying the force of a volcanic eruption.

BAMMM!! BAAMM!! BAAMM!!

The clash of their attacks was cataclysmic. The spirit fists and flaming spear collided with explosive force, sending shockwaves rippling across the sky. The blasts were so powerful that they tore through the storm clouds, illuminating the battlefield below in bursts of fiery light. The ground quaked beneath the fury of their battle, adding to the planet’s already fragile state.

“URGGH!!”

Wayne’s body screamed in protest as his muscles burned with the tremendous effort of maintaining his domain. The battle had taken a toll on him—he could feel the strain of his reserves running thin, and the battle’s intensity seemed to intensify with each passing moment.

His body ached with the effort, but what really tested his limits was the aftermath of Agis’ terrifying techniques. The residual flames that licked at his skin burned like a constant reminder of the destructive power his opponent wielded. It was evident that Wayne was on the losing side of this clash.

As another wave of searing heat surged toward him, Wayne braced himself, but before he could take another hit, Agis seemed to lose interest in delivering a final blow. A slight expression of annoyance crossed the Red Demon’s face as he seemed to have received an urgent communication. With a simple gesture, Agis called his massive dragon to his side, and the creature suddenly veered away from the battlefield.

Wayne seized the opportunity to heal himself. Despite the overwhelming fatigue, he pushed through the pain, focusing every ounce of energy on expelling the lingering flames from his body.

When the last of the fire was extinguished, his eyes burned with renewed fury. “You are underestimating me far too much!” he growled, his voice thick with rage.

Agis turned back to him “I hate interruptions as well, but some order cannot be ignored,” he said, his voice laced with irritation. “However… I’m even more annoyed by the fact that you’re still hiding something from me. Enough of this stalling. It’s time for you to reveal what you’ve been holding back!”

A wry smile formed on Wayne’s lips. “You’ll regret sending your dragon away,” he growled.

At his words, an explosion rocked the battlefield. A structure within Citadel City crumbled into rubble, and from the smoke and chaos emerged a figure cloaked in shadow—a grand magus whose aura carried a chilling intensity. The elven grand magus frowned as the figure approached.

“I thought I’d killed you already,” Agis said, surprise flickering across his face.

The figure now descending upon them was none other than Major Kouga of the Ghostblade. The news of his death had been a carefully orchestrated lie. In truth, Kouga had been secretly recovering his strength, preparing for this exact moment.

“Not just yet!” Kouga interjected, his blade radiating an icy chill that seemed to freeze the very air around it—a perfect counter to Agis’s blazing flames.

Agis’ face lit up with unexpected excitement. “This is even better!!” he declared, his eyes glinting with a new intensity. The unexpected turn of events had reignited his fervor, and now, the battle would escalate further.

While Wayne and Agis continued their deadly dance, Azula, who had been shadowing the dragon’s movements, made a sudden realization. The dragon wasn’t flying toward the remaining elven forces or any of the other areas in need of support. It was heading straight toward south, where Emery was.
