Earth's Greatest Magus

Emery’s arrival marked the exploration of his eighth waypoint within the last four years.

The Khaos domain hosted hundreds of these enigmatic waypoints, each borne out of massive fluctuations in space. Emery, driven by a quest to find a source of darkness-type power to aid his cores, saw these waypoints as potential reservoirs of the elusive energy he sought.

Crossing these spatial anomalies could lead to unforeseen challenges, and to mitigate the risks, he dedicated several hours to each waypoint. During this time, he channeled his spirit-reading abilities, extending his consciousness to the other side in the hopes of gaining insights and proper analysis through VIA’s assistance.

Balancing this exploratory quest with his commitments to cultivation training and apothecary pursuits, Emery had spent the last four years meticulously probing a total of 122 waypoints.

Among these waypoints, only one third managed to be analyzed by VIA. The others either led to inhospitable spaces or, worse, unstable ones. However, amidst the challenges, the most astonishing revelation came when Emery discovered another hub. This hub connected to dozens of other waypoints, unveiling a vast network within the intricate tapestry of the Khaos space.

Throughout this endeavor, Emery encountered numerous obstacles, including the interference of dark elves groups. In some instances, he had to forego the use of the Khaos domain altogether to avoid confrontation with these elusive adversaries.

However, the recent findings unveiled a beacon of interest—an altar shrouded in mystery, exuding powerful energy, and housing a divine beast. Intrigued by the potential discoveries, Emery marked it as his 8th destination.

Recognizing the inherent risks, he decided to bolster his safety by bringing along a select group of allies. Morgana, capable of traversing dimensions with the aid of Killgraga, stood by Emery’s side. Among them was Twik, Emery’s reliable companion, Livi the Baphomet, who possessed the ability to transform into a young girl, and a new addition to the group—a formidable dark-skinned orc whom Emery had encountered during his third trip. Each member brought unique skills and strengths to the team, forming a formidable ensemble prepared for the challenges that awaited them in the uncharted territories.

Upon arrival at the other side of the waypoint, an unexpected incident unfolded—a powerful tremor reverberated through the surroundings, causing the altar to crack and creating an unstable power fluctuation. Drawing upon his past experiences, where waypoints led to entrapment or exposure to lower realms civilization, Emery opted for caution. He decided to remain in the shadows, observing and learning about the place and the broken altar.

As Emery engaged in his observations, VIA provided limited insights:

[Partial information on rune formation, requires time to process].

While in the shadows, Emery sensed the arrival of a pale human, entering the area while engaged in battle against formidable spiders. It became apparent that their forces from the sky realms and the lone elderly magus were ill-equipped to combat the three divine beasts, possessing powers comparable to those of a full moon magus. Fueled by a sense of responsibility, Emery stepped out from the shadows and joined the fight.

Having successfully captured the divine beast, the atmosphere remained tense as Emery seized the opportunity to gather more information from these ingenious humans about their surroundings.

“My name is Emery,” he introduced himself, “and my friend and I just happened to arrive here recently. May I know what place this is?”

The female leader responded, “I am Soonhee. This is our sacred ground, how could you enter this place?!”

Sensing an undercurrent of distrust, Emmet utilized his spirit reading ability to bridge the gap and slowly earn their trust. Through a combination of empathy and understanding, he managed to break through the initial barriers and was invited back to their home.

In order to safeguard the fragile stability of the shattered altar, Emery decided to leave Durak, the dark-skinned orc, to guard the place. The orc, with his formidable strength, will stand watch over the sacred ground, a sentinel against possible threats that might arise.

“CHIKKK Durak will stay!”

Once outside the confines of the sacred ground, Emery and his newfound allies were greeted by a vast expanse. A cold, snowy mountain stretched beneath a glowing rocky ceiling, creating an otherworldly ambiance. The journey unfolded over two hours, traversing the wintry landscape until the revelation of a kingdom came into view.

The Alvanic Kingdom, a subterranean city, sprawled before them—a bustling metropolis beneath the surface, home to over 100,000 Alvanic people. The city’s architecture blended seamlessly with the rocky surroundings, illuminated by a soft glow that emanated from various sources within. As Emmet and the group approached, the sheer scale and intricacy of the subterranean kingdom became apparent.

“Traveler, welcome to Alvanic,” greeted the purple-haired Queen, her words resonating with both authority and warmth. The return of their Queen and his soldiers was met with cheers from the Alvanic people. However, as their eyes fell upon Emery and his companions, expressions of fear momentarily clouded their faces. It was the Queen’s soothing assurance that swiftly dispelled their concerns, showcasing the depth of adoration the people held for her.

Amidst the jubilant atmosphere, a feast was prepared in celebration, providing Emery with an opportune moment to delve deeper into the Alvanic culture and history. Seated among them, he engaged in conversation, seeking to understand the intricacies of their subterranean world. ɴᴇᴡ ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀʀᴇ ᴘᴜʙʟɪsʜᴇᴅ ᴏɴ ɴovᴇl(F)ɪre.ɴet

To Emery’s revelation, the Alvanic people were not the sole inhabitants of this hidden realm. There were six other kingdoms, varying in size, scattered across the subterranean landscape, housing a total population of 500,000 individuals. Through persistent persuasion, Emmet unraveled more about their history, which traced back almost two thousand years. Their ancestors had sought refuge in this subterranean haven, escaping an ancient calamity that had driven them to hide beneath the surface.

The Alvanic people’s connection to the sacred chamber, considered their place of origin, held a deep significance. However, as period passed, the secrets of the chamber had become obscured, even to the oldest magus among them. Kasim, who had lived for five centuries, remained unaware of the sacred chamber’s hidden truths.

Emery couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement. The altar formation with its dark, mysterious stone held the possible to send tens of thousands of people to another realm, a prospect that aligned seamlessly with his objectives. Eager to glean more information, Emmet decided to request access to the Alvanic Kingdom’s old texts, the repositories of their ancient knowledge.

His request prompted a gracious response from the Queen, who expressed her willingness to assist but coupled it with a personal plea, “Please, traveler, we will assist your needs, but please grant me a wish.”

Emery, recognizing the sincerity, nodded affirmatively. “Alright, if there is anything I can do, I will help.”
