Earth's Greatest Magus

Thirty hours ago, Emery had foreseen the impending threat of the pirate ship targeting Earth. Understanding the gravity of the situation, he immediately utilized the gathered data to report to the Magus Alliance headquarters in sector 13 at Centauri City. With the urgency of the matter, Emery expected swift reinforcements and support from the alliance.

However, to his dismay, no confirmation of reinforcements was received, and even Emissary Duncan, a figure of significant influence within the Magus Alliance, remained unreachable. The unsettling silence from the alliance headquarters hinted at a possible interference by the Nephilim.

Emery’s suspicion grew, considering his recent refusal of the Nephilim’s offers. It seemed likely that the enigmatic faction was playing a role in the unfolding events, perhaps withholding crucial aid in response to Emery’s rejection. Faced with this uncertainty, Emery realized that he could only rely on his own strength and resources to protect Earth.

Fortuitously, Emery’s newfound wealth provided him with the means to take decisive actions. Recognizing that the pirates would likely target the primordial wisps, particularly those at Bodhi Temple and the fey forest on Britannia Island, Emery decided to purchase two new formations artifacts.

With his current limitations in the field of formations, he opted for a nature-based tier 4 formation known as the [Mistified Cloud]. This formation was designed to shroud the fey forest on Britannia Island in a mystical mist, creating a barrier that would buy precious time against the incoming pirate forces. To bolster this defense, Emery enlisted Twik and the Chizpurs brothers to assist Morgana.

Understanding the unique significance of the Bodhi Temple and its potential vulnerability, Emery chose a different approach. He implemented the [Thousand Petal Array], an exceptionally rare tier 4 light-based formation. This intricate array had the remarkable ability to harness and amplify the power drawn from multiple individuals.

Amidst the serenity of the Bodhi Temple, Ashaka, the venerable Abbot, assumed the lotus position at the temple’s zenith. With focused intent, he began chanting sacred words that resonated through the air, activating the [Thousand Petal Array]. A harmonious response echoed as hundreds of monks joined him in the ritual. Among them were 80 Sky Realm monks and 800 Earth Realm monks, all contributing their spiritual energy to fortify the formation.

As the monks continued their chants, tranquil energy enveloped the temple, creating a spiritual synergy that heightened the defensive capabilities of the formation. The air vibrated with a unique resonance, signifying the unity of the monks and their commitment to safeguarding the sacred grounds.

In the sky above the temple, a figure with long hair observed the unfolding scene with an amused demeanor. It was Dong Bai, the grand magus, whose arrogance overshadowed the beauty of the moment.

“It’s really cute to think you can stop me with such a formation,” he sneered, his tone dripping with condescension.

With a pointed finger, Dong Bai began channeling a formidable power, conjuring a radiant fireball that shimmered with the intensity of a tier 8 spell—[Sacred Fire]. Though seemingly compact, the fist-sized ball of fire exuded an overwhelming pressure.

In a decisive declaration, Dong Bai sneered, “Die!” The potent spell was unleashed, hurtling towards the temple with destructive intent, testing the resilience of the defenders and their meticulously crafted formation.

As the flaming ball hurtled toward the Bodhi Temple, the twins, Yama and Yami, positioned themselves in its trajectory. Yama summoned a tier 6 ice spell, [Aurora Beam], while Yami conjured a tier 6 water spell, [Hydro Cannon]. The two spells intertwined with perfect synchronicity, weaving an intricate dance of ice and water that entangled the oncoming ball of fire.

With a resounding impact, the spells clashed in a dazzling display of elemental forces. The collision sent shockwaves through the air, creating a tempest that shook the earth beneath. Although the ball of fire was momentarily halted, it persisted in its descent.

Before it could reach the awaiting twins, Ashaka, seated in the lotus position, utilized the gathered power from the formation. Drawing upon a newly acquired skill from the celestial expedition, he invoked [Heavenly Handprint]. The divine art materialized into a majestic golden palm, still in the process of perfection. Yet, fueled by the combined strength of the 880 monks and the fortified formation, the spell transformed into a impressive force, one befitting a peak full moon magus realm.

With the ethereal palm extended, Ashaka directed the spell toward the oncoming threat. The radiant force intercepted the grand magus’s fiery onslaught, fully stopping its advance.

Witnessing his spell blocked by a group of seemingly inferior magus, the grand magus erupted into hysterical laughter. “This is so embarrassing. Now every one of you must die!”

Descending with overwhelming power, the grand magus targeted the twins, Yama and Yami. Despite their impressive defensive spells and high battle power, the twins found themselves outmatched. The grand magus toyed with them, breaking their bones with each devastating strike. Ashaka, bound by the necessity of maintaining the formation, could only watch helplessly from the ground.

The one-sided confrontation continued deliberately for a few agonizing minutes. The twins, despite enduring severe injuries, exhibited unwavering loyalty, repeatedly returning to the fray. Blood-soaked and battered, they fought on until reinforcements finally arrived in the form of the Dragon Elite Squad, led by the impressive Terrador.

The arrival of the five dragon warriors didn’t faze the grand magus. With a derisive chuckle, he remarked, “You are too slow. I’ve been waiting for too long.”

Terrador, the halfmoon squad leader, bravely led his four elite dragon squad members. With a powerful roar, all five transformed into their half-human, half-dragon form, significantly boosting their power.

“Men! Attack!!”

A fierce battle ensued for a few minutes, with spears and spells unleashed. However, with each passing minute, one dragon warrior after another fell. One burned to ashes, another torn apart by the relentless assault. Branton, the earth dragon, bravely held the long-haired pirates from behind, allowing Terrador an opening for a counterattack while sacrificing himself. Tʜe source of this ᴄontent ɪs NovᴇlFir(e).nᴇt

“Leader!! Do it!!”

Terrador decisively channeled all his strength into one spear attack, only to witness his second-in-command torn to pieces, and his attack failed. The power of one of the five pirate king iron guards surpassed his expectations and cost his team dearly.

Despite the loss, true to his task, Terrador was ready to lay down his life. Once again, he stood bravely above the temple.

“Amazing, now you can die along with those lower realm monkeys!!”

The grand magus pirate was ready to unleash a more powerful spell with the intention of flattening the land when suddenly he received emergency information.

With anger, he dashed toward the sky and rushed back to the moon.
