Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 2475: Treatment

Emery had returned to the Azure Cloud Mansion and spent hours meticulously preparing the treatment for the patriarch. Every ingredient was measured with precision, and every step was performed with unwavering focus. When the pill was finally ready, he made his way to the patriarchʼs private training chamber to begin the treatment.

”Master Emery, thank you for doing this,” said Ella, her voice soft yet filled with earnest gratitude as she stood on the sidelines, watching him intently.

Emery hadnʼt even begun the treatment yet, but the girlʼs unwavering faith in his abilities was almost tangible. Her hopeful expression added an invisible weight to his shoulders—a subtle pressure that reminded him of the stakes involved. After all, despite his extensive knowledge and skill in apothecary, he lacked significant experience in direct medical treatments, especially those involving grand magus realm figures.

With his current capabilities, a single touch from him could cure any mortal, while his expertly crafted potions and pills could address most issues faced by magus realm individuals. However, the Grand Magus realm was an entirely different challenge with their cosmic body.

At this stage, the grand magus body wasnʼt just flesh and blood—it was a complex vessel infused with cosmic energy. Each pressure point and meridian pulsed with refined cosmic force, creating a system that could not be easily cleansed or healed with potions alone.

The foreign substance invading the patriarchʼs body was deeply intertwined with these energy pathways. Emery knew that simply relying on his pills and potions would not be sufficient to purge it entirely.

For this reason, he had prepared an additional phase of treatment—one that required both alchemical expertise and precise manipulation of energy.

The old patriarch sat cross-legged in the lotus position, his upper body exposed to allow Emery full access to the affected areas. His aged skin, marked by years of cultivation, seemed to faintly glimmer under the ambient light of the chamber.

Emery stepped forward and carefully unwrapped a pristine set of Tier 5-grade silver needles. Each needle radiated a faint silvery sheen, imbued with energy meant to stabilize and channel the flow of power.

Closing his eyes briefly, Emery activated his divine sense, his spiritual energy flowing outward like invisible threads weaving through the patriarchʼs body. He meticulously located every compromised pressure point where the foreign substance had anchored itself. With precise and practiced movements, Emery began piercing the needles into those critical spots, one by one.

”Father… is it painful?” Ellaʼs soft voice trembled with concern as she stepped forward slightly.

The patriarch opened his eyes briefly and shook his head, offering a weak but reassuring smile. ”No… no pain at all.”

Emery, maintaining his calm focus, spoke in a measured tone, ”Senior, please remain steady.”

With that, Emery retrieved the recently concocted pill. The small orb glowed with an intense crimson light, faint wisps of smoke rising from its surface. It was a Tier 7 pill, infused with concentrated fire essence—a potent catalyst that would act as both a purifier and an amplifier during the treatment.

”Please consume this, Senior,” Emery instructed.

The patriarch nodded and swallowed the pill without hesitation. Almost instantly, a surge of warmth spread throughout his body as the fire essence ignited within his cosmic pathways. Emery extended his hand over the patriarchʼs chest, channeling his spirit energy to guide and contain the fiery force now coursing through him.

As the energy spread, sharp bursts of resistance flared up in specific pressure points, causing the patriarch to grimace slightly. Emeryʼs divine sense picked up on these areas of turbulence—like stubborn knots in an intricate web—and he swiftly inserted additional silver needles with pinpoint precision.

The patriarchʼs body trembled faintly as the cosmic energy roared through him, each movement like attempting to subdue a wild, untamed beast. Every time Emery closed in on an affected node, the foreign energy retaliated, surging violently and sending sharp spikes of pain through the patriarchʼs body.

Ellaʼs hands clenched into fists at her sides, her eyes wide with fear and worry. ”Master Emery… is this supposed to happen? Is he—”

Before she could finish, Emeryʼs voice cut through, firm and unwavering. ”Trust me, Ella. Iʼve got this.”

Emery focused all his energy on maintaining control over the patriarchʼs cosmic pathways. Sweat beaded on Emeryʼs forehead, but his hands remained steady as he alternated between adjusting the needles, channeling energy, and monitoring the flow of cosmic power.

The silver needle technique Emery was using wasnʼt something he had learned casually—it was a legacy left behind by Fuxi. Witnessing his friends die had been a haunting experience for Emery. It was this very helplessness that had driven him to study Fuxiʼs intricate healing methods. 𝘙àƝŎᛒĘs̈

Though he had practiced the technique on his prisoners, this was the first time Emery attempted it on someone with a fully developed cosmic body.

The treatment continued for hours. Emery alternated between stabilizing the patriarchʼs energy pathways, administering supplementary recovery pills to soothe the elderʼs strained cosmic body, and carefully introducing additional scorching pills to maintain the purifying fire essence within him.

The patriarchʼs body glistened with sweat, and faint wisps of smoke rose from his skin where the fire essence clashed with the remnants of the foreign poison.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Emery let out a slow breath and took a step back. His hands trembled slightly from the intense focus and effort expended over the last few hours.

”I have done all I can,” he said, his voice steady but laced with exhaustion.

The patriarch remained seated in the lotus position, his chest rising and falling heavily, his complexion still pale but noticeably more stable. Despite Emeryʼs efforts, the elder was still locked in a silent battle within himself—a fight against the lingering remnants of the poison entrenched deep in his cosmic core.

”The rest of the poison can only be eliminated by your father himself,” Emery explained, turning to Ella. ”But do not worry. Give him time, and I am certain he will make a full recovery.”

Ellaʼs eyes shimmered with tears, her voice trembling as she spoke. ”Thank you… Thank you, Master Emery. I donʼt know how to repay you.”

Emery offered her a faint but reassuring smile before reaching into his storage ring to retrieve a recovery pill for himself. Swallowing it quickly, he felt a faint wave of warmth spread through his exhausted body, easing some of the strain.

Despite his weariness, Emery did not leave the chamber. Instead, he stays close, observing every detail of the patriarchʼs condition.

While the chamber remained heavy with tense anticipation, the silence was broken by the hurried steps of the dark-elf captain. He entered the room cautiously, his expression etched with concern as he struggled not to disturb the ongoing treatment. Yet, the urgency in his eyes was unmistakable—something was wrong.

Emery didnʼt need an explanation. With a sweep of his divine sense, he immediately detected multiple figures entering the estate grounds. Among them, a familiar presence stood out: Vernon, the patriarch of the Amber Fall clan. This time, however, he brought more people.

Ella, still at her fatherʼs side, turned pale with panic. ”Why now?! At this crucial moment... what if!?”

Emery placed a reassuring hand on her trembling shoulder. ”Donʼt worry, Ella. I will handle this.”

With that, Emery walked out of the chamber and into the open courtyard. His steps were unhurried, yet every movement carried an air of authority.

Waiting in the estateʼs front yard was Vernon, the brash Grand Magus of the Amber Fall clan. His sharp gaze locked onto Emery the moment he appeared, his lips curling into a sneer. Beside him stood two other Grand Magus experts, their cosmic energy radiating like a heavy pressure over the estate. The trio was not here to negotiate—they were here for confrontation.

”There you are, beastman!” Vernonʼs voice boomed across the courtyard. ”Today, youʼll regret sticking your nose where it doesnʼt belong!”

Emery stood still, his expression unyielding and calm, as if the three Grand Magus before him were little more than an inconvenient breeze. His piercing gaze swept over Vernon and his two companions before he spoke.

”Just two more...?” Are you sure?” Emery tilted his head slightly, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. ”Perhaps you should come back when youʼve brought more help. Iʼd hate for you to leave here disappointed.”
