Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 2365: Spring Lotus Fruit

The Spring Lotus Fruit was an extraordinary find, a rare high-grade tier 8 material that carried immense value. Emery had done his research; he knew that a single piece of this fruit had once been auctioned for a staggering 200 million spirit stones. There were two known methods to harness the fruitʼs full potential, each offering distinct benefits depending on the userʼs goals. The first method was the direct consumption of the fruit, which provided a massive surge in soul force.

This method was particularly sought after by Magus aiming to bridge the gap to the Grand Magus realm.

The second method involved burning the fruit and slowly digesting its smoke, allowing the body to absorb the fruitʼs essence in a much more controlled manner. This method didnʼt provide the same overwhelming boost in raw power but instead brought the mind to a heightened state of clarity.

For Grand Magus figures, who often struggled with making breakthroughs in the intricate and complex laws they sought to master, this was invaluable. The smoke allowed them to bypass mental blockades, making difficult breakthroughs much more attainable.

Emery had every intention of sharing the precious Spring Lotus Fruit with Klea. Both of them already possessed a high level of soul force, making the second method—the slower, more refined approach of burning the fruitʼs essence—the best choice for their continued growth. But as an experienced Apothecary, Emery had no plans to hastily use such a rare and valuable material without first experimenting with its full potential. He understood the fruitʼs worth and wanted to ensure they made the most of it.

Drawing on his experience in creating spirit-enhancing incense, Emery set to work crafting a method that would maximize the benefits of the fruitʼs smoke.

After days of iterations and adjustments, he perfected the recipe, which produced five Spring Lotus Candles from one fruit. Each candle would slowly release the fruitʼs essence when burned, enabling a steady and controlled absorption of its potent effects.

Satisfied with the result, Emery decided to give Klea three of the candles.

When he presented the candles to her, as expected, she immediately declined the generous offer. ”No, you can take them all... Itʼs your reward.”

But Emery was resolute. He wouldnʼt take no for an answer. ”Youʼve done an incredible job assisting me here at the academy,” he explained. ”You deserve these as much as I do. Besides, Iʼm still getting a valuable part of it.”

Klea raised an eyebrow, intrigued. Emery then revealed that he kept the Lotus Seeds from the fruit, a resource that could be even more valuable for his purposes.

Emery spent the next few days meticulously working on integrating the underwater materials he had gathered from the Shambala Kingdom into his newly created Spring Lake within his domain. He took his time adjusting the flow and balance, and once he was satisfied, he began the delicate process of planting the [Spring Lotus Seeds] he had preserved, initiating their cultivation.

With unwavering dedication, Emery monitored the progress of the seeds, experimenting with various methods to encourage their growth.

Days turned into weeks as he tried everything he could, even applying advanced techniques like casting photosynthesis spells directly into the seeds to stimulate life within them. Despite his best efforts, failure was a frequent result. One by one, the seeds withered or remained dormant, resisting his cultivation.

But Emery was nothing if not patient. His bond with nature was profound, and his relentless pursuit of success finally bore fruit—literally. After three long weeks of tending to the seeds, his perseverance paid off. Two of the seeds began to respond, showing signs of life. The moment the first bud broke through the surface of the water, Emery felt a powerful connection form between the growing plant and his entire domain.

The energy within the lake surged, and Emery felt a noticeable increase in his natural energy as the lotus continued to grow. Emery continued his cultivation with unwavering focus, integrating all the insights he had gained from his time at the Infinity Seamount. He poured his understanding into his connection with the natural forces around him. When he reached a mental blockade, Emery made a decisive choice. He lit one of the [Spring Lotus Candles] allowing the incense to permeate the air around him.

As the days passed, the candleʼs influence continued to unravel the mysteries of the laws that had once eluded him. Emeryʼs mind felt unusually light, each problem that had seemed complex now revealed its simplicity. It was as though the very laws of the universe were bending to his will, their patterns clear and manageable under the soothing influence of the lotus incense.

When the candle finally burned out, Emery could feel that he was teetering on the edge of another breakthrough. However, instead of lighting another candle to force the process, he made a more calculated decision. He redirected his efforts, choosing instead to connect his [Spring Lake] with the ancient [Elysian Trees] once again, spreading the harmonious energy of both natural wonders throughout the light side of his domain.

The result was exactly what he needed.

The gentle yet powerful flow of energy surged within his domain, creating a more balanced and enriched environment. Emery could feel the vibrant shift within the light side of his domain. Every inch of his domain felt alive, the energy flowing like a harmonious symphony.

Despite this, Emery knew from experience that this was not yet the equilibrium he sought. [Energy Balance: Darkness 52%, Light 48%]

The delicate balance between light and dark remained elusive, with darkness still holding the upper hand. Emery understood that without achieving a perfect balance between light and dark, his domain would never reach its full potential. ŕἈＮɵ𝖇Εꞩ
