Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 2364: Festive

As Emery returned to the Shambala Underwater Kingdom, he was greeted by a grand spectacle—a lively feast. The shimmering halls of the kingdom were adorned with glowing corals and bioluminescent plants that illuminated the water around them, creating a surreal, enchanting atmosphere. Long tables covered in exotic sea delicacies. Vibrant plates of seaweed salads, marinated kelp, and rare underwater fruits, some glowing faintly, others pulsating with energy, were arranged in intricate patterns. Crystal clams served with golden pearls inside and giant sea snails cooked in fragrant herbs filled the air with rich, unfamiliar aromas. The food was as much a visual experience as it was for taste, appealing to all senses simultaneously.

Hundreds of mermen, mermaids, and fishfolk—creatures with fins and scales of every hue imaginable—swam gracefully around the feast. They laughed and conversed, their voices echoing through the water like a melody, adding to the festive ambiance. Music played from instruments made of seashells and coral, the tones soft and haunting, carried by the currents.

Despite the jovial mood, Emery was a bit taken aback by the abrupt shift in tone.

Just hours ago, Supreme Lord Quatukan had put him through a life-threatening test. Now, the Sea Sovereign sat at the head of the feast, his imposing figure relaxed and joyful, calling his closest confidants to join the celebration. His mood was infectious, and it wasnʼt long before those around him joined in hearty conversation.

In the middle of the hall, Emery saw Grand Magus Neytiri, her commanding presence softened by the festive atmosphere. She was dressed in intricately woven seaweed garments, her skin shimmering like the surface of the water under moonlight.

As Emery approached, he noticed another figure standing near Neytiri.

Standing tall and imposing, a muscular Grand Magus hybrid, his body covered in gleaming crystal blue shells, exuded a familiar yet chilling presence. Emeryʼs eyes widened in surprise as he realized who this Grand Magus was. It was the same massive godly-level beast he had fought mere hours ago.

Neytiri, always with a playful smile, leaned toward Emery and spoke with a teasing tone. ”This is Klawf, my fatherʼs oldest friend.”

Klawf turned his cold gaze to Emery, his expression unreadable. His powerful, silent stare lingered for a moment, and then, without uttering a single word, he turned and made his way to the dining table, his heavy footsteps echoing in the hall.

Seeing Emeryʼs confusion, Neytiri chuckled softly. ”He doesnʼt speak much... but believe me, that was his most hospitable gesture.” After the long and vibrant celebration, Emery finally found himself face-to-face with the Supreme Lord Quatukan. Though the conversation was brief, it carried the weight of importance. Emery had been seeking to understand the Supreme Lordʼs true intentions, and while Quatukan remained reserved, his daughter Neytiri stepped in to fill in the gaps with her usual playful demeanor.

Quatukanʼs satisfaction with Emeryʼs talents was clear. He granted both Emery and Klea unrestricted access to the Infinity Seamount during its seasonal anomalies—an opportunity that few ever received. More surprisingly, the Supreme Lord offered the chance for Emery to spar with Grand Magus Klawf, should he desire it.

The Supreme Lordʼs generosity didnʼt end there. He asked if Emery had any requests or needs, promising to assist in any way he could. Though the offer seemed genuine, it only heightened Emeryʼs discomfort. The sudden kindness and favor from such a powerful figure—one with whom Emery had no prior relationship—felt unnerving.

Refusing could be taken as a grave insult, so Emery responded by asking for something less personal but still valuable—rare underwater materials; flora, and fauna from the Shambala Kingdomʼs depths.

Neytiri was assigned to assist him, ensuring that Emeryʼs needs would be met.

Emery and Klea left the feast with gratitude, following the female Grand Magus in gathering the rare underwater materials he had requested. As they walked, Emery saw an opportunity to probe deeper into the reasons behind the Supreme Lordʼs sudden generosity.

The question lingered in his mind: Was this due to the Elixir?

With this thought in mind, Emery cautiously explained that he could not guarantee a constant supply of the elixir, not at the moment. His current focus was tied to fulfilling a request for the insectoid race, which took precedence over any other commitments.

The female Grand Magus, however, dispelled his concerns, revealing that the Supreme Lord was a straightforward figure. He helped those he liked and showed no mercy to those he did not. There were no elaborate schemes at play. One of the reasons behind the Supreme Lordʼs favor was tied to Emeryʼs rising prominence. His name had spread far and wide, especially among the half-bloods.

Neytiri shows a hint of amusement, ”Instructor Emery… donʼt you realize how famous you are now? Especially among us half-bloods?”

Emery was momentarily taken aback by the statement. He had been aware of his public challenge to Nephilim Hall and knew that defeating their apostles had drawn significant attention. However, his focus had been on his training for the past six months, and he had paid little mind to the broader impact of his actions. Now, it dawned on him that his growing fame had reached even the ears of a Supreme being like the Sea Sovereign.

The visit to Shambala Kingdom concluded on a note of mutual cooperation. The agreement reached would benefit both sides: Emery would provide a regular supply of elixirs for the Fishmen. In return, the kingdom would contribute valuable genetic material to his Supreme Gene Research, further advancing the project. Additionally, the Shambala Kingdom agreed to openly trade their rare underwater resources with his apothecary shops.

After concluding the agreement, Emery and Klea left the vast underwater kingdom, traveling swiftly back to the academy hall.

Upon their return, Emery wasted no time heading straight into his domain, eager to make use of the newfound sea materials he had acquired. Among them was the one he got from the academy, the [Spring Lotus Fruit]. ＲАΝо𝐛Ěs̩
