Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 2202: Brotherly

Both leaders, Hassa and Xavier, stood facing each other in the scorching desert, their expressions reflecting the gravity of the moment. Xavier, exuding confidence, broke the silence.

”Is this fight really necessary? Give up, brother… I will clean up the faction and make things right,” Xavierʼs voice was firm, his eyes narrowing with determination.

Hassa shook his head, his eyes steady and resolute. ”No, brother… believe me… I will do what is best for the faction.”

Xavier took a deep sigh, the frustration evident in his posture. He turned toward the elders who supported Hassa and gestured broadly. ”How many of these people could you really trust? How can you say you do best for the faction when you cannot gain their respect? Can you really control them?” His words were heavy, his fist raised to emphasize his might.

The elders shifted uncomfortably, their loyalty were questioned. Hassa met their gazes, his expression one of calm assurance. ”Trust is earned, brother, Respect is not taken by force”

Xavier scoffed, a bitter laugh escaping his lips. ”You certainly will not earned it through words”

Hassa, still showing a smile on his face, calmly replied, ”Brother, stop what you are doing… if you are willing to listen to me… none will dare to be disrespectful.”

The reply startled Xavier for a second before he answered, ”No, I am sorry brother, you are just too soft. You cannot do what needs to be done.”

With those words, Xavier unleashed his domain, showcasing the formidable power of his three cosmos realms. The air around him crackled with raw energy, and his aura expanded, creating an oppressive atmosphere that seemed to weigh down on everyone present. The display of power was awe-inspiring, a testament to Xavierʼs might and his unwavering resolve.

Hassa took another deep sigh, his eyes reflecting a mix of sadness and determination. He then revealed his own domain, displaying the power of his two cosmos realms. The contrast was stark: Xavierʼs late stage three cosmos against Hassaʼs middle stage two cosmos. The gap in power was significant, a four-level difference that seemed insurmountable.

Observing from the sidelines, Emery was taken aback. He had initially thought Hassa was only a one cosmos realm figure, but the grand magus had hidden his aura deeply. Still, the disparity in their power levels was glaring.

Emery was living proof that one realm could not justify oneʼs strength, but in this case, Xavier had honed his power through countless battles, while Hassa had spent more time in books and close training. With this comparison, Emery wouldnʼt be surprised if Xavier could win the fight in one or two strikes.

With this comparison, Emery wouldnʼt be surprised if Xavier could win the fight in one or two strikes.

”Brother, I will make my move now, be ready!” Xavier declared, his voice resonating with authority and confidence.

Xavier decided to pierce his spear into the ground, and golden lightning crackled along his arm before he dashed forward with his fist, showing an appearance of mercy. His speed was blinding, a testament to his battle-hardened prowess.

Hassa, on the other hand, stood tall and composed, his expression one of calm determination. He unleashed a skill that Emery recognized. Multiple golden energies formed into layers, covering Hassaʼs body. It was the same technique shown by Izaak, but Hassaʼs mastery allowed him to create an impressive fourth and fifth layer before raising his arms, now covered in golden gauntlets, to block Xavierʼs strike.

BAAAAMMM!!!

The clash between Hassa and Xavier was nothing short of spectacular. The force of their collision created a thunderous sound that echoed across the desert, sending massive gusts of sand swirling into the air. Hassa was thrown back five steps, his feet digging into the ground to maintain his balance. Despite losing ground, his resolve remained unshaken, though blood trickled from the corner of his mouth, a testament to the power of Xavierʼs strike.

”Good, you do not disappoint me brother,” Xavier said, his voice carrying a mix of respect and challenge. ”Now, I will use my full strength!”

Emery noticed the heavy worry etched on Tessaʼs face and the elders beside her. They seemed to hold their breath, their eyes fixed on their lord. However, Hassaʼs demeanor remained calm and confident. He kept his smile as he removed the gauntlets from his arms, revealing a rune formation in the form of a golden tattoo.

Chanting ancient words, Hassa activated the runes. They crumbled apart, disintegrating into golden dust that seemed to merge with his aura. Suddenly, a new surge of power erupted from Hassa, elevating his strength to the peak of the second cosmos realm. The ground beneath him seemed to vibrate with this newfound energy.

Xavierʼs eyes widened slightly, a genuine smile spreading across his face. ”Hahaha, you surprise me, brother. But I am afraid itʼs not enough.”

As Xavier prepared to launch his next series of attacks, he raised his fist, and an even more potent golden thunder began to gather around his body. The energy crackled and sparked, illuminating the battlefield with its fierce intensity. Without hesitation, Xavier charged forward, striking decisively and rapidly.

Each strike produced a thunderous sound that echoed across the desert, creating sparks that obscured the view of the combatants and heightened the anticipation among the onlookers. The air was thick with tension, and the ground trembled under the force of their clash.

”Father!!” Tessa screamed, her voice filled with concern and desperation.

Through his divine sense, Emery observed the battle closely. Despite being relentlessly hit by Xavierʼs powerful blows, Hassa maintained his defense. Emery noticed something astonishing: the formation of a sixth layer of golden energy around Hassa. This revelation sent shockwaves through the crowd. The sixth layer of the golden form was a defensive technique comparable to a tier 9 spell, typically only cast by a three cosmos grand magus. Its extreme defensive capabilities allowed Hassa to withstand Xavierʼs onslaught. 𝑅άŊΟ₿Êᶊ

BAM!! BAM!! BAM!! BAM!! BAM!!

The ground shook with each impact, and the sheer force of their battle created shockwaves that radiated outward. Sparks flew in all directions, and the desert sands were stirred into a frenzy. There were over two dozen strikes, each one echoing across the battlefield like the tolling of a giant bell, yet Xavier was still unable to break Hassaʼs defense. The sight of Hassaʼs unwavering persistence ignited new respect among both sides of the Karat forces, inspiring them to believe in their leaderʼs resilience. Finally, Xavier halted his relentless assault.

He took a deep sigh and said, ”I applaud you, brother. But this is exactly who you are. You always too passive. You could not be a leader this way.”

Hassa, though visibly exhausted and battered, pulled down his arms. The toll of the battle was evident as he coughed up a large amount of blood. Both bones in his arms were shattered from the impact of the strikes, but he stood tall, refusing to yield. His voice, though strained, carried a determined resolve. ”No, brother... You are wrong. The safety of our people is of utmost importance.”

Before they were about to continue, there was a sudden explosion that lit up high in the sky. Both forces were instantly on high alert, their attention snapping away to the ominous spectacle above.
