# Estonia City

The forces that had gathered to defend Estonia city were struggling against the zombies, though the city guards were accustomed to dealing with zombie threats, but due to the lack of competence from the supporting clans had turned the situation into a massacre.

With each fallen or infected mage, the tide shifted further against them, as those who had fallen rose to fight against their former allies, a true nightmare for the defenders of Estonia City.

Having lost more than half their forces in the low rank battlefield merely two hours into the battle, the fate of Estonia City was looking increasingly grim.

In the Tier 7 battle, twenty unique type Tier 7 zombies faced off against twenty human mages, while the patriarch of the Darkbliss clan stood back, refusing to join the fray.

The reason for his inaction was the peak Tier 7 Agility Type zombie, which closely monitored him, as if warning him not to interfere, if not it would also retaliate against him if he dared.

Of all the Tier 7 mages present, he was the only High Tier 7 Mage, among those engaged in battle were two Mid Tier 7 mages, while the remaining eighteen were Low Tier 7 mages, placing them in a precarious situation, as most of the zombies they faced were in the Mid Tier 7 realm, with only a few in the Low Tier 7 realm.

The infections carried by these zombies were much more potent than those of the Low and Mid Rank zombies, complicating matters further.

But their opponents were mages who had achieved Tier 7 Mage status, and regardless of how mediocre human talent might be, anyone who is capable of reaching Tier 7 was definitely once revered as a top-level genius, provided they hadn’t wholly squandered their potential upon entering the Tier 7 Mage realm.

However, they weren’t battling just any race; they were contending with zombies, necessitating even greater caution.

In fact, all of them were reinforcing their bodies with extra mana to avoid infection by the zombie virus.

But the more the Patriarch of the Darkbliss Clan watched the battle, the more he realized that it would take nothing short of a miracle for the human mages to win, and this is even if he personally stepped in.

The reason was painfully clear: the mages were expending mana at an alarming rate to keep a thin layer of protection around their bodies, shielding them from infection by the zombies’ scratches, meanwhile, they faced Type 3 zombies with seemingly infinite stamina.

So it was a losing combination, an uphill battle where exhaustion was inevitable.

Gazing down at the Mid rank battlefield, the Darkbliss Patriarch shook his head in dismay.

The human mages were nearing defeat, and when they fell, nothing would stand in the way of the Mid rank zombies overwhelming the lower ranks mages.

Watching this massacre unfold any further was intolerable to him, he knew he had to act quickly, lest when the remaining mid rank mages flee, it would leave the battlefield open for the Mid Tier zombies to wreak havoc on the lower rank battlefield .

At this moment, he didn’t care about the danger of being targeted by the Peak Tier 7 Agility zombie that was protecting the Type 3 Mental zombie, Summoning his resolve, he swatted his hand toward the Mid rank battlefield, releasing tendrils of shadow spears that streaked through the air, targeting the unique Type 2 zombies holding the upper hand against the Estonia city mages.

In response to his involvement in the battle, the Agility Type 3 zombie vanished from its initial spot, reappearing in front of the Darkbliss Patriarch in an instant.

Its claws swiped downward, slicing the Patriarch’s body into five clean pieces.

But the Agility Type 3 Zombie felt something was off, and it paused as its senses alerted to something unusual, it swiftly looked toward the shadow spears and it realized they hadn’t been cancelled.

Instead, they continued their trajectory like guided missiles, slamming into ten mid rank zombies.

Of the ten that were struck, six were confirmed dead on impact, one zombie was sent flying so far that its fate remained uncertain, while the remaining three barely managed to survive.

Two of the three zombies had significant portions of their bodies obliterated by the attack, while these zombies could survive losing body parts as long as their brains remained intact, the damage was enough to drastically reduce their combat abilities.

This gave the human mages a crucial opening to counter and eliminate them swiftly due to the injuries.

The third zombie, however, was luckier, it had only lost its right hand to the attack, though its combat capabilities were reduced a little, but it was still a Peak Tier 6 Strength Type 2 zombie, one of the toughest among its kind, so despite its injuries it was still capable of enduring the relentless onslaught of the human mages that tried to gang up on it.

Meanwhile, the Type 3 Agility zombie that had attacked the Darkbliss Patriarch turned to examine its handiwork.

Its sharp gaze narrowed when it realized the shredded remains of its target had dissolved into dark smoke, only to reassemble a short distance away, reforming into the Darkbliss Patriarch’s body.

The Patriarch stood tall, his expression unreadable as he raised his walking cane and pointed it directly at the Peak Tier 7 zombie, which loomed menacingly in the distance.

“You shouldn’t have done that,” growled the Type 3 Agility zombie, its hoarse voice echoing across the battlefield as it was pissed at the Darkbliss patriarch killing the Mid Tier zombies.

“I’ll make sure to turn you into mince meat!”

The words that came out of the mouth of the Type 3 Zombie shocked the Darkbliss Patriarch.

He hadn’t expected a Type 3 zombie to be capable of speech, based on Estonia City’s understanding of zombies, only the Mental Type zombies were known to develop the ability to speak even in their early stages.

However, here was a Type 3 Zombie who had gone through various evolution, and it now had the ability of speech, which shows just how much the zombies were adapting and growing with each stage of their evolution.

The Agility zombie’s eyes narrowed, gleaming with malice as it spread its clawed hands.

Its elongated claws shimmered with a strange, malevolent Qi energy as it dashed toward the Darkbliss Patriarch at blinding speed.

The Patriarch’s frown deepened as he realised what the zombie had just done , he had planned to rely heavily on the abilities of his shadow body to fight the zombies, exploiting its elemental nature.

However, he hadn’t anticipated that this Type 3 zombie would possess the intelligence to imbue its claws with Qi, a technique capable of offsetting the mystic properties of his elemental body.

The Darkbliss Patriarch was forced to defend himself against the Type 3 Agility zombie, using his walking cane as they exchanged blows in mid-air.

Despite the fierce exchange, he displayed remarkable agility and precision, maneuvering deftly while continuing to assist the Mid Rank mages on the battlefield.

With calculated efficiency, he unleashed dark bolts and shadow spears, targeting Mid Rank zombies and keeping them at bay to prevent Estonia City’s forces from collapsing under the relentless assault, his dual focus on personal combat and battlefield support showcased his unwavering resolve to turn the tide of battle.
