The Golem Mage

Chapter 286: Jungle Battle Part 6.

Seeing Astrid emerge from the Space Gate portal provided Kethra with the much-needed support and confidence to confront Alec and his group of golems.

It reassured him that he had a backup plan if things didn’t go as planned, similar to the first time when things went sideways, and he was able to escape.

However, Kethra wasn’t about to let Astrid see how grateful he was for his unexpected arrival.

After all, Astrid had never mentioned anything about providing this assistance in the first place.

It made Kethra suspect that Astrid had planned to catch him off guard from the beginning.

This realization made Kethra grateful that he hadn’t obtained the attributed stone yet, or it could have been used against him.

Since Astrid possessed such a powerful artifact, it would make it Much easier for him to track him if he were to escape during a fight.

Even if Astrid mentioned that he could only teleport one person at a time and it required a significant amount of mana, Kethra couldn’t fully trust him.

He knew that most mages preferred to keep their cards hidden, so Astrid’s casual revelation seemed suspicious to him.

”Why didn’t you inform me beforehand about having a space gate?” Kethra asked,

his anger starting to rise as the wind blades around him intensified, reflecting his emotions.

”It would have saved us a lot of stress and planning, and I wouldn’t have appeared foolish when you used me as a teleportation trajectory.”

Despite his frustration, Astrid simply shrugged it off and replied.

”This was the only way I could have done it,” Astrid explained.

”I wanted you to be surprised too, If you had known about the space gate, you would have never agreed to be bait, Kethra, But I needed you here with me to stall them.”

”And just for your information,” Astrid continued,

”even my team members knew nothing about my space gate until a few seconds ago.”

With this newfound confidence, both Astrid and Kethra felt assured in their ability to take on Alec.

Because they knew they had the advantage of numbers, now that they were two against Alec and his set of Tier 2 Golems.

Alec furrowed his brow as he tried to figure out how to defeat them or make his escape.

Sacrificing a golem was an option, but Alec never wanted to resort to that.

He had grown fond of each one of them , especially Legion and Titan who were his favourites.

Legion’s voice sounded near Alec, offering reassurance.

”We can defeat them, master, However, I must inform you that it won’t be easy, We might have some golems go out of service for a while.”

Alec nodded resolutely.

”Then let’s do it, As long as there’s a chance to survive, I don’t mind taking it, I made a promise to come back alive, so I have to be there soon.” Your journey continues at NovelFire.Côm

Alec’s voice echoed through the vast space as he unleashed his Blood Changdao, causing his hair tips to transform instantly into a mesmerizing flaming red color.

With each time he used the Blood Changdao, the red hue seemed to intensify, reaching new heights that left even him astounded.

It was as if The red was slightly seemed to consume the surrounding Black dyed hair, his ordinary Tier 2 aura completely shifted.

Kethra and Astrid couldn’t help but feel its disappearance in an instant.

As A surge of intense killing intent emanated from Alec, spreading through him and his Golems, all of them perfectly in sync.

As Their unleashed auras were overpowering, matching the strength emitted by Astrid as he attempted to pressurize Alec with his Tier pressure.

Kethra finally noticed something peculiar.

”Ohhh, but why are you still wearing the crown?, It’s already been more than 24 hours, and you’re not supposed to have the arcane lock crown on,” he pointed out, his concern evident.

Alec’s gaze remained unwavering as he responded with a determined frown.

”Well, I don’t believe that’s any of your concern now, Will you continue to waste time, waiting for your hired Mage thugs to arrive, or are you finally ready to engage in battle?”

”Oh, no need for that,” Astrid laughed heartily.

”The fact that your Mana is sealed is even better news for us, I’ll be able to deal with you before they even arrive, It seems even the heavens are assisting us in taking you out.”

Without hesitation, Astrid dashed towards Alec, his right hand swinging as he the lightning chain he conjured soared towards target Alec, he was quite determine to take out Alec.

”Wait, Astrid!”

Kethra desperately tried to warn him about Alec’s abnormal strength, even without the reinforcement of his elements.

But Astrid had disregarded all caution the moment he realized Alec had an arcane lock sealing his Mana Pool.

Unlike Kethra, Astrid didn’t bother pondering why Alec had it on.

Though Kethra had never mentioned anything about an arcane lock, But it seemed he had some involvement with it.

Yet, Astrid remained confident in his ability to take on Alec, even with his Mana pool unsealed.

He just felt this situation was more favorable for him.

As the lightning chain drew closer, Butcher stepped in front of Alec, grabbing hold of the chain.

Making Astrid snorted and attempted to pull back, dragging Butcher along with the chain.

To Astrid’s surprise, he witnessed the lightning being absorbed into Butcher’s hands.

The electric current surrounding its cloudy body only grew stronger, after absorbing part of the lightning chain.

”Hmmm, sweet!”

Butcher exclaimed, swinging his axe with his left hand to sever the lightning chain that was pulling him towards Astrid.

He knew that he wouldn’t be able to stand a chance against Astrid in a fight, even with his ability to consume and buff himself with Astrid’s Tier 4 Mage lightning output, fighting a Tier 4 mage alone was still sucide.

Though Astrid appeared surprised by Butcher’s unexpected move, he wasn’t one to easily be intimidated.

As he Summoned a sword from one of his space rings

[< Mid Tier Spell – Lightning Blade Slash >]

He swung his sword, unleashing arcs of lightning that flew towards Alec from a different angle, purposely avoiding Butcher to prevent any repeat of previous events.

As he was preoccupied with breaking the encircle meant Formation formed by the golems, the golems United to stop his crazy attack with Butcher taking the lead.

While Kethra stealthily approached Alec with them all preoccupied.

With a barrage of wind blades reinforced by additional mana, Kethra launched a surprise attack.

The wind blades cleverly concealed themselves within the air, catching the golems off guard.

The lack of sound made the golems slow to react, not initially realizing they Alec was being attacked from above.

However, the moment the wind blades entered Alec’s ten-meter range, he swiftly countered with countless blood-colored slashes powered by his sword intent.

And he finally discovered a method to align his Qi with the sword intent, after watching sword Saint, he realized that this method made controlling his Sword Intent much easier.

”I have you right where I want you,” Kethra proclaimed confidently, as he felt prepared to face Alec again after witnessing his moves before.

Unexpectedly, Kethra appeared in front of Alec, left even Astrid in a state of shock.

The majority of the golems had taken the opportunity to engage him, causing him to feel a sense of frustration for the first time, as he could not get rid of them and they couldn’t gt rid of him too.

Despite all his efforts, he found it difficult to inflict any meaningful damage on the golems due to Butcher’s fraudulent ability to absorb all of his Lighting attacks.

He had anticipated that Butcher would have been overwhelmed by the powerful lightning strikes, given that Butcher at a lower realm, than him.

However, due to Butcher’s resilient elemental body, he not only withstood Astrid’s attacks but also managed to deflect a portion of the energy back at him through his attacks.

Astrid, recognizing the potential harm, was determined to avoid being hit by these redirected attacks.

Unlike Butcher, Astrid did not possess resistance or a High affinity towards lightning, he had a low affinity for lightning and that was why he had four rings to power his attacks.

If he struck by any of the redirected attack that was sent using his Mana, it would cause significant pain Due to his low Affinity.

But Butcher, on the other hand, boasted a Storm Bringer elemental body, possessing both wind and lightning elements Resistance.
