Shelter: All-Class Survival

Chapter 65: black rattanThe road to the third food point was startling every step of the way. Chen Chen cautiously looked around, took pictures of plants that he had never seen before, and collected them as samples.

After the vegetation grew, Chen Chen’s search speed not only decreased, but also the frequency of finding resources was much lower.

Many items were hidden in the grass, and most of the materials found along the way were steel and the like.

Only one shelter expansion module was found, plus a white desk lamp and a medium-sized microwave.

”Huh?” Chen Chen stopped and looked forward to the left.

When a golden-ringed wasp passed over there just now, it was hit by a small cane on the tree and rolled up.

Although it was only a peripheral vision, Chen Chen had extremely strong dynamic vision, and he still captured this.

Chen Chen left and ordered the bees to disperse, while he took out the crossbow and shot an arrow at it.

The arrow accurately shot the cane that was still curling and wriggling, and the white juice splashed out and landed on other plants with a rattling sound.

After the broken one fell to the ground, it still did not release the golden ring bee, and the remaining vines were still hanging on the tree and twisting constantly, like a severed snake.

”I don’t know if this white juice is poisonous or sour.”

Chen Chen felt that it was more likely to be acid, so that food could be digested quickly.

This kind of weird thing, Chen Chen was not interested in taking risks, so he took the crossbow machine and retreated.

But suddenly, the large trees in front began to move, and the tiny rattan trembled slightly.

It looked like it was going to attack, but it had no target.

Fortunately, Chen Chen had just kept the bees away from the area, otherwise nearly a hundred bees would have died.

”It’s a pity that there is no dry wood, otherwise a fire will burn the whole place here.”

Bring the bees, detour and move on.

After walking for another hour, Chen Chen came to the third food spot.

This food spot is very strange.

A vine-like plant coils itself around itself, standing in the middle, only the top tip has a faint green color, and the rest are black and shiny wooden rattan.

There is a bunch of grapes on the rattan, but this bunch of grapes is not the fruit of the black vine.

Along with the black vine, is an extraordinarily slender green strip, which meanders up the black vine, and then bears such fruits.

It would be fine if it were these, but the strange thing was that the black vines had no other plants within a radius of 20 meters.

The black vine is like a scepter, opening a hole in this green ocean for sunlight to pour in.

Chen Chen is very familiar with grapes and green branches. This is the super fruit in the shape of grapes, which Chen Chen has eaten before can enhance his physique.

”I think this black vine should grow by absorbing nutrients from other plants, so it doesn’t need branches and leaves to get sunlight.”

Chen Chen looked at it from a distance and deduced: ”The super fruit is very special, and it was not absorbed by the black vine. It is also possible that the super fruit and its body are not plants at all.”

”I don’t know if this black vine is dangerous. If not, it should be good before transplanting to the shelter, and there will be no plants growing around.”

Chen Chen waved his hand and asked a dozen little bees to approach Hei Teng.

In the end, the bees really went in safely, flying around the black vine, and a few of them landed on the super fruit and the black vine under Chen Chen’s order, nothing happened.

Seeing these joys gradually surfaced in Chen Chen’s heart, ”Could it be that this plant really only attacks plants and does not threaten animals at all? If so, then this is the best choice for a ’protective forest’ as a shelter!”

Repeated confirmation, this black vine is really not in any danger.

Chen Chen directly took out the engineer shovel and started digging from the dividing line. When the depth was less than 30 cm, Chen Chen dug up the root of the black vine.

”As expected, black vines rely on their rhizomes to absorb the life of other plants.”

After poking it a few times, the rhizome did not respond at all. Chen Chen shoveled a section of the rhizome out, and then moved the rhizome again.

If the rhizome of the black vine is active, there should be something like a nerve on it, and it should respond to external stimuli when it is not controlled by the main body.

”There’s no problem, it’s 99% safe. I really can’t think of any problems with it.”

Then Chen Chen stepped into the area of the black vine and walked closer, but there was still no abnormality.

Chen Chen stretched out his hand and dragged the super fruit, and then quickly put it into the item space.

When the super fruit is picked, it will emit a smell, which will attract beasts.

Putting away the super fruit, Chen Chen began to look at the black vine with the thickness of the arm in front of him.

The black vine is nearly two meters high, and its torso is twisted from several thin black strips as thick as fingers, tightly joined together. The hand feels a little cold to the touch, not like wood.

”Since it doesn’t attack, then take this thing back with its roots and see if it can be transplanted and reproduced.”

The super fruit had been picked, and Chen Chen took the engineer shovel and dug up the soil immediately.

Chen Chen’s physical fitness has improved by leaps and bounds, and he soon dug a one-meter hole, and the roots of the trees staggered and wrapped in soil were exposed in front of Chen Chen.

Chen Chen squatted down, touched the soil with his hands, and directly used the power of soil to loosen the soil.

Then Chen Chen cut off the surrounding tree roots, and lifted the black vine with both hands, and the soil on the roots fell off naturally.

Chen Chen held the black vine in his hand and showed a satisfied expression. He did not expect that the black vine was really not dangerous at all.

”Today’s harvest is enough~www.wuxiaspot.com~ Now go back to the shelter on the same route.”

As usual, Chen Chen had to choose a new path to return.

Now that there are many dangers in the jungle, it is safer to go back the old way.

When he came here, Chen Chen had already opened up a path with steel bars, but at this moment, the speed of returning is much faster, and it takes about 20 minutes to run back.

Chen Chen didn’t put the black vine into the item space. One was that he couldn’t take it in, and the other was that the plant would die if he forcibly took it in.

Carrying the two-meter-long black vine like this, Chen Chen trotted all the way.

On the way back, Chen Chen also gradually discovered the problem. The path he opened at the beginning was already showing signs of closing, and in a short period of time, the grass would engulf the path.

There were no accidents on the way back, and Chen Chen quickly returned to the shelter.

At this time, Chen Chen took a sigh of relief, took off the equipment, and hung it back in place.

Taking out the super fruit, after thinking about it, Chen Chen still put it in the black iron treasure chest.

Tomorrow will be the second outbreak of abnormal radiation. Taking out the super fruit at night will also attract a wave of beasts and relieve the food pressure.

Then Chen Chen looked at the black vine, folded it hard, and found that with his current strength, he could only bend the black vine slightly.

”This is a good material for the body of the bow. With the addition of tiger tendons, the recurve bow made will definitely be far more powerful than the crossbow machine.”

After a short rest, Chen Chen walked out of the shelter with a shovel, dug a big hole in the horse-rejection formation, and planted black vines in it.

The vitality of plants is very strong. In just one night, some shrubs forcibly emerged from the soil, squeezing the horses that were pressing on them.

Now as long as the black vine survives, there will be no more plants growing in the area where Juma is located, once and for all.
