Cursed Immortality

Chapter 1267: ‘Chaos’ Inside the Prison! (3)

“T-that Totem Sigil! YOU!!! ARE!!! THE #!^*???!!!”

Despite those words eluding Alexandra, the same wasn’t true for Destin Saint.

Destin Saint spoke through the Fateless Celestial in a mild tone, “Hoho, old timer, sometimes words shouldn’t be spoken so casually. Considering your origin, I thought you of all would be careful. But considering your current situation, it’s only natural that you have forgotten what it’s like to be a Divine Being!”

Alexandra was even more alert after those words and suspected that it was Destin Saint who had made them elusive. But she didn’t speak out and listened silently.

The Undead Skyfall had really lost his composure for a moment there, and upon hearing Destin Saint’s words, “He” regained some composure, but it didn’t mean “He” wasn’t wary of these unexpected intruders, especially Destin Saint.

“How do you get here?” The Undead Skyfall finally spoke in a somewhat stiffened voice.

“He” also thought secretly with a hint of trepidation, ‘Could it be the Hellspawn was also sent by them to weaken me, and now they are here…just what is happening in the Middle Plains? Have the absolute rules been tempered with!? Impossible!’

“Wrong question…” Destin Saint corrected amiably, “You should be asking why we are here.”

The Undead Skyfall remained silent for a moment before speaking, “Why?”

“Hoho, now we’re talking.” The Destin Saint was instantly joyous, “I have a proposition for you.”

The Undead Skyfall went silent again as the conversation grew stranger, since Destin Saint didn’t seem to have come here to gloat or take advantage of “His” current state.

“A proposition?” The Undead Skyfall suddenly jeered, “It’s funny hearing from someone who had been ‘our’ mortal enemy for countless ages!

“Although I don’t know what kind of relation you have with the owner of that sigil, if you are here to claim my life, then your visit here is in vain, for I can’t die until “HE” permits it!

“As for tormenting me, do your worst!” The Undead Skyfall suddenly became overbearing as if, despite being found in this state, “He” wasn’t going to beg for mercy or show any humiliating side.

In fact, all Destin Saint could do was to torture the Undead Skyfall or weaken “Him” further; killing “Him” was out of the question.

The reason for Undead Skyfall’s caution against Jacob was simply that “He” didn’t want to fall into slumber for an unknown length of time. But if it can’t be avoided, then so be it, “He” can afford to wait just like always.

“Hoho, you got it all wrong.” Destin Saint seemed to be hurt by those words as he exclaimed innocently, “I can assure you, I will never use uncouth methods like torture, not even on my enemy, for I believe enemies can be turned into allies if you know how to pursue them.

“As for us? We are not even enemies, and what happened between you and me in the past has nothing to do with me. In fact, today I’m only here to make a new reliable ally. Trust me, I’m nothing like those barbaric and arrogant fellows of the Upper Plains.

“Moreover, while you were sealed here, many things have changed; even your enemies might no longer remember you, not to mention the Divine Crown of Hollow Undead has a new owner!”

This time, the sealed altar trembled violently, but not with shock, with deep seething hatred and fury, especially when Destin Saint mentioned the last sentence as if he had struck a nerve.

“Just what do you want from me?” The Undead Skyfall’s voice was now filled with barely containable fury and hatred.

Destin Saint seemed unbothered by the Undead Skyfall’s current state, as if he wanted to achieve this exact result from the start.

“Hoh, haven’t I mentioned already? I’m here to make you an ally.” Destin Saint said cheerfully, “You see, I have the ‘key’ that can grant you your freedom right now.”

This time, the Undead Skyfall was shocked as even his anger seemed to vanish into thin air the moment he heard those words.

“Impossible! Are you trying to humiliate me!?” He roared with agitation.

But Destin Saint still remained calm as he said matter-of-factly, “I’m absolutely not. Don’t you know what kind of origin I have? So, getting the key from “HIM” is no big deal for us.”

“What?” The Undead Skyfall’s voice was filled with disbelief, “Are you saying, ‘HE’ gave you the key?”

“Indeed, or even I won’t dare to release “HIS” seal without “HIS” acknowledgment.” Destin Saint’s calm voice sounded affirmative.

The Undead Skyfall’s emotions turn chaotic with never-before-seen ecstasy and hope mixed with them.

“Just who are you exactly?”

The Undead Skyfall knows what entity “His” jailor was, and not just anyone could have “HIM” give away the key to “HIS” prisons.

“Hoho, you may address me as Destin Saint.” Destin Saint seemed intent on revealing his title as he said, “So, old timer, are you willing to accept this alliance?”

“Freedom won’t come without cost. However, freedom is something I want more than anything in this world right now, and as long as you allow me to complete just one task, I am willing to follow you!” The Undead Skyfall stated sternly, with absolute resolve.

Destin Saint seemed to be expecting this from the start as he instantly replied, “Hoho, please, old timer, I’m not worthy to have a follower such as yourself. But if you want to join our cause, then you are more than welcome to contribute as an esteemed member.

“But only after we are done with taking care of this small problem that we are facing in the Legendary Plains, and the reason I seek you out.”

“You are quite eloquent.” The Undead Skyfall profoundly commented, “Alright, I agree!”

Alexandra, who had been listening to all of this, was secretly alarmed, as she hadn’t expected Destin Saint to gain a God-rank follower so easily, and all he’d done was get the key to this prison from some power entity.

Moreover, Destin Saint didn’t seem worried that the Undead Skyfall wouldn’t keep “His” promise after gaining his freedom.

But Alexandra didn’t know that Undead Skyfall would never consider betraying Destin Saint for the very reason of obtaining the key from the Jailor, not to mention the latter’s origin!
