Cursed Immortality

Chapter 1150: The Scheme Unfolds (4)

Myth of White Swordsman was startled when he heard the abrupt news about Myth of Myriad Cries and couldn’t help but feel alarmed because this was another fellow myth, not some Fable Legendary.

”Wait!” Suddenly, Myth of White Swordsman’s eyes widened as he looked at the silhouette of Myth of Reverend, ”Why did I only remember you when I saw your figure? Myth of Reverend!? Did you cast some spell on me?!”

The more Myth of White Swordsman thought about this strange yet eerie problem with his memories of the Myth of Reverend, the more he couldn’t help but think about the weird feeling he had after meeting the Coalition Founders.

However, he wasn’t some ordinary person; as a Quasi-Myth, he knew many things, and there were many bizarre abilities and laws out there that could affect one’s mind in a way that one couldn’t even comprehend, not even a Quasi-Myth.

That’s why, when he remembered the Myth of Reverend, he had only seen his silhouette. Yet, he couldn’t recall him at all before. Myth of White Swordsman was alarmed because this time he was very sensitive to his surroundings and to any changes in himself.

If Myth of White Swordsman wasn’t so alert, he might not have realized about this strange phenomenon and would’ve continued as if nothing was weird.

Yet that’s precisely what made him even extremely wary of the Myth of Reverend because he also remembered more details related to the latter after remembering him.

The Myth of Reverend, a figure with an unknown origin, and not even the Myth of White Swordsman could find any traces of him in the history of Legendary Plains.

But what Myth of White Swordsman was able to find made him feel dreadful, and he stopped his investigation in the past.

However, whatever he had found, it compelled him to accept the Myth of Justice’s invitation and join the Secret Fraternity.

Lastly, the Myth of Reverend was trusted by the Myth of Justice (Holy King), and apparently, the first myth approached by the Upper Plains to search for the Legendary Master Key and hunt down the Cursed One.

Moreover, Myth of White Swordsman has only come into contact with Myth of Reverend once in the Virtual Star World, and according to Myth of Justice, Myth of Reverend doesn’t like to reveal himself to others and is very introverted.

But when White Swordsman thought about those memories in his mind, his heart trembled for those memories were filled with flaws, the biggest being he couldn’t recall what he found in that ’investigation’ at all!

”YOU...!”

Myth of White Swordsman’s aura suddenly flared as killing intent surfaced in his eyes as he looked at the calmly sitting silhouette of the Myth of Reverend, as the latter didn’t speak at all, as if he was watching the former in amusement like a clown putting up a show.

”How unexpected...” Myth of Reverend finally uttered with a hint of surprise, as if slightly astounded by Myth of White Swordsman’s violent reaction, or seeing him, remembered what should have remained forgotten.

”What are you talking about!? You did something to me, haven’t you!?” The Myth of White Swordsman’s eyes turned bloodshot with rage as if he had found the culprit behind his chaotic state of mind and unease.

”Heh, I hadn’t done anything to you, fellow myth, but someone else sure has done an excellent job...” Myth of Reverend chuckled as he ambiguously implied.

Myth of White Swordsman’s eyes widened in disbelief as he retorted, ”Are you trying to shift the blame now that your little trick has failed!? Tell me the truth, are you the one who’s been scheming against Myths behind their back? Now, you’ve done something to the Myth of Myriad Cries as well! Am I your next target!?”

Strangely, Myth of White Swordsman started to connect everything that’s been happening to the Myths like the Myth of Holy Justice, then Champion King, and Myth of Secrets, to Myth of Reverend.

Furthermore, after Myth of Justice went missing, Myth of Myriad Cries became White Swordsman’s new contact in the Secret Fraternity, and now he has also gone missing, and the one who revealed this news to him was none other than Myth of Reverend.

Hence, he believes in his conjecture even more!

But unexpectedly, Myth of Reverend didn’t panic or seem frustrated at all, despite Myth of White Swordsman blaming him for something he hadn’t done.

Instead, the Myth of Reverend praised with admiration, ”Marvelous, truly marvelous! It must be the work of that mysterious Coalition Master! I’m truly in awe of their abilities.”

Myth of White Swordsman almost went wild with anger because he felt Myth of Reverend was making fun of him by putting on such theatrics.

”Let me help you, fellow White Swordsman, and then you tell me if this work is magnificent or not...”

At that moment, Myth of Reverend did something as he raised his blurry arm, and the runes of the ring on White Swordsman’s finger started to shift and turned ethereal violet.

Myth of White Swordsman was alarmed when he felt a mysterious soul force suddenly invade his body through that ring because this should be impossible since, without his permission, no foreign soul force could enter his body, especially with the phantom of the celestial astrolabe present.

Yet this soul force easily invaded his body, and the most terrifying fact was that he knew it was the doing of the Myth of Reverend, and the latter wasn’t even in the vicinity, doing all of this remotely.

At that moment, Myth of White Swordsman decisively raised his hand surrounded by sword law, and chopped it towards his other hand.

He didn’t try to put off that ring usually because he knew it would be useless, so he decided to dismember his hand, which was quick and certain work.

However, just when Myth of White Swordsman’s hand was about to touch his hand, something astounding happened as that violet energy suddenly shifted and cast a barrier around his hand.

’Bang...’

The moment White Swordsman’s hand touched that translucent barrier, it was repelled without being able to place a scratch on it, despite being an attack imbued with law.

At that moment, Myth of Reverend snickered, ”Commendable yet foolish. Now, open your eyes to the truth, Myth of White Swordsman!”

The next moment, the Myth of White Swordsman felt a profound intent invade his mind, and his eyes went blank.

The next moment, he saw the same scene of himself sitting in front of the Coalition Founders!
