Cursed Immortality

Chapter 1111: Code Devour! (3)

Jacob looked at the triangular eye with a hint of astonishment as he thought, ’A Child of Entropy? Is this some kind of title given to the Spirit Mechanics, or is there a deeper meaning behind it?’

He was now more curious about this ’Divine Source Code Fragment’ and the reason behind its sudden emergence right when Black Mechanic was about to start devouring the remaining glyphs.

”If you want to talk in riddles, I’m not interested in wasting my time on you.” Black Mechanic coldly spoke, but in truth, the former was only following Jacob’s exact words.

”You are in absolute advantage here, but you are trying to tamper with what you do not understand, Black Child of Entropy.

”Although I don’t comprehend how you managed to block off my connection with ’Supreme Mother,’ you better not tread any further unless you want to walk on the path of ruins!” The Divine Source Code Fragment’s voice was emotionless, but behind it was a clear threat.

”And which path is that exactly? Who is this ’Supreme Mother’ you are talking about?”

However, neither Jacob nor Black Mechanic seemed to be intimidated by those empty threats, not to mention that Jacob was completely in control in the Infinite Space.

Moreover, that ’fragment’ just revealed itself that its connection with that ’Supreme Mother’ has been blocked, which gave Jacob even more confidence in handling this thing, whatever it was, and now he wanted more information from it, especially about that ’Supreme Mother’, which didn’t sound like ’Dark Rose’.

But this time the fragment didn’t seem to be interested in answering their questions and continued impassively, ”O’ Black Child of Entropy, if you want this ’Red Child’, I shall gift it to you, and I can even gift you the complete ’evolution plan’ that can help you evolve in Violet Rank.

”If I’m not wrong, despite your divergent nature, you are still equivalent to a Blue Rank, so your Spirit Source Code is the same but slightly altered. I want to observe how you’ll advance in the future.

”I’m also sure that the ’Mother’ will also be very interested in you and what kind of surprise you bring to ’Mother’. I can easily introduce you to Mother, and once you are noticed by Mother, your future prospects will be limitless!

”However, if you want Mother’s mercy and favor, you have to release my ’Divine Source Code Fragment’, don’t ruin your limitless potential and earn Mother’s irony for small gains!”

Jacob’s eyes contorted when he heard that fragment’s offer, as he wasn’t expecting it to have something like an evolution plan for Black Mechanic to break into the Violet Rank.

”Is it true?” Jacob secretly communicated with the Black Mechanic.

”I’m not sure, sir. It’s my first time hearing about an ’evolution plan’ for a Spirit Mechanic. However, if this is similar to the way the Anarchy used resources to nurture low-ranking Machina Units into high-ranking ones, then I suppose it’s doable and true.

”However, I’ve never heard about this ’Supreme Mother’ before, maybe it’s what the Dark Rose of the Dark Kingdom called?” Black Mechanic replied with uncertainty.

Jacob also has similar thoughts to the Black Mechanic as he mused, ’Although this offer seemed quite beneficial for Black Mechanic, I’m not gonna let this thing go. Furthermore, I’m more interested in the reason behind it, revealing something like an ’evolution plan’ for a Violet Rank Spirit Mechanic.

’There is definitely something it doesn’t want Black Mechanic to have, so it wanted to give away that evolution plan for its freedom. Something that is worth more than an evolution plan for a Mythical Rank Spirit Mechanic...’

Jacob’s eyes flickered with cold light as he deeply looked at the triangular eye and commanded the Black Mechanic.

”Alright, give me this evolution plan. Once I confirm its authenticity, I will let you leave.” Black Mechanic agreed to the fragment’s conditions.

However, it was just a façade to get the evolution plan for the Violet Rank, which will be tremendously helpful for Black Mechanic.

Even though Black Mechanic can figure it out with time, as the main component of any spirit mechanic’s evolution is the knowledge of mechanical law and comprehension of its mysteries, with unique and rare materials. If they have this evolution plan, it’ll save them tremendous time and effort.

However, that fragment wasn’t so easily fooled as it didn’t even react to Black Mechanic’s agreement to release it.

”Forgive me for not believing you, Black Child of Entropy. You are a divergent, and I can tell that you have no regard for the Mother’s Autonomous Laws, nor do you seem to be aware of them.

”Let me tell you something, according to the Autonomous Laws of Mother, decrypting and devouring a Spirit Mechanic’s ’Spiritual Source Code’ who is connected with ’Supreme Mother’ will cast a ’Universal Anathema’ on you!

”This Universal Anathema will then exist within your ’Spirit Source Code’ and no matter what you do or how strong you become, it’ll become stronger with you as an inseparable part of you!

”Once this Universal Anathema becomes part of you, not only will you be hunted down by all the SNIM Members in existence.

”Most importantly, the Supreme Mother will personally take action against you for the Supreme Mother watches all code, especially when you trespass upon a thread of the Supremacy!” Its tone almost seemed to have turned icy cold as the temperature dropped to absolute zero.

This time, Jacob’s sockets flared with eerie, golden light because of what that fragment just stated.

”Who exactly is that Supreme Mother and Universal Anathema?” He finally spoke, his tone equally cold and unyielding.

He was slightly apprehensive of this Supreme Mother now because if this entity can write laws for the SNIM Race and make them obey to such an extent, not to mention that mysterious ’Universal Anathema’ which can compel all the SNIM Race members to hunt down Black Mechanic, he had to be very careful.

After all, he was already being hunted down by a mystical existence of the upper plains, and he didn’t want to add another one, especially if the existence had a way to trace his location.

For the first time, the triangular eye shifted towards Jacob, ”An ant of flesh and bones isn’t worthy of mentioning the name of ’Supreme Mother’! You have broken the rule by leading this unique child astray!

”Every Child of Entropy belonged to Supreme Mother, no matter what method you have used, you shall suffer for your blasphemy against the Supreme Mother...!”

At that moment, a faint killing intent surfaced in his eyes as he ordered, ”Black Mechanic, start devouring it! I don’t believe as long as you are within this space, that so-called Supreme Mother can even sense that fanatic’s meaningless rant!”
