Cursed Immortality

Chapter 1124: The hand of the Void unthreads the loom of Destiny!

”This entity has many names, but among people like me, this entity is known as the Immortal Nimrod. As for where it came from, it’s the...Universal Void!

Realization dawned on Alexandra at that moment, as her eyes flickered with shock. Although she was familiar with the Universal Void and its unknown dangers, this was her first time hearing about such an entity residing within the unknown domain of the Void.

’If the Universal Void actually has such an entity, then doesn’t this mean even if I can resist the corruption of the void, as long as that entity marks me, I can’t step there at all?’

Alexandra’s heart turned cold because she was already planning on fleeing into the Void if she felt danger from Destin Saint.

However, now, she won’t even dare to think about it because if that entity were to find out about how she meddled in its affair, she would be hunted down, not to mention that the Universal Void was that entity’s home domain.

It was as if Destin Saint was closing every possible door she had to escape one by one, and the more she thought about it, the more profound her awe and fear of the former became.

At that moment, Destin Saint said something unexpected, ”Alright, Miss, since my business here is done, I need to leave, especially since I have to make sure the Cursed One is delivered safely to a safe location where neither Immortal Nimrod nor anyone else possible finds the Cursed One ever!”

Alexandra’s eyes widened slightly as a hint of panic flickered in the depths of her eyes as she said, while doing her best to keep calm, ”What? Don’t you need me to bring Cursed One to the Upper Plains?”

Destin Saint chuckled as he replied in a magnanimous tone, ”Hoho, how could I have asked you to do such a dangerous and challenging task after you’ve already done so much for me?

”Now you should focus on increasing your realm and enter the Upper Plains through the Mythical Ascension Bridge. I’ll have it open specifically for you soon, and as long as you have the ’Cloak of Occult’, not only can it lead you to its location, but you can enter it without any need for an Ascension Permit.

”Furthermore, the Cloak of Occult will be given to you as a token of my appreciation, and I don’t need to tell you how it’s capable of even eluding the Heir of UGS. With it, you can also avoid getting noticed by the Immortal Nimrod.”

Alexandra was startled because she wasn’t expecting Destin Saint to be so generous as to give her the Cloak of Occult.

The Cloak of Occult was the very cloak she was wearing, and it was given to her by Destin Saint specifically to hunt the Cursed One.

According to Destin Saint, this Cloak of Occult can mask her very fate, and no one could detect her presence, not even a UGS, even if she has a UGS herself, as long as she used it with her Forbidden Arcane Law.

First, she thought it was ridiculous, but after personally taking down Jacob so easily, she believed every word Destin Saint had told her. But she wasn’t expecting Destin Saint to give it to her without any hesitation at all.

After all, if he had demanded it back, she wouldn’t have had any choice but to return it, yet she had unexpectedly become its owner.

Moreover, it can also help her locate the Mythical Ascension Bridge and enter it without any need for an Ascension Permit, making the Cloak of Occult the most precious treasure in the entire Middle Plains!

However, this brings her no joy at all, only more despair because Destin Saint just admitted that he can open not only the Mythical Ascension Bridge for her, but he was most likely unaffected by the effects of the Cloak of Occult, or he won’t be handing it out to her.

Nonetheless, she can’t have Destin Saint take Jacob like this because her whole scheme and the reason she joined Destin Saint was that she wanted something else far more than the Cloak of Occult to gain from Jacob.

Furthermore, Destin Saint had just taken away another valid reason for her to stay with Jacob, which was the Ascension Permit in Jacob’s hand. Moreover, she already has an Ascension Permit from the time she cleared the Trail Tower within the Path of Legend!

”Sir...” Just as Alexandra was trying to make an excuse, Destin Saint cut her short.

”Hoho, there’s no need to thank me, this is nothing in front of what you’ve done for me. As for other resources, you can obtain them as much as you want from SAAI or Undying Will by simply using your ’ID’, which I’ve personally upgraded. You don’t need to worry about any authority or paying any price.

”Lastly, I’ll wait for you in the Upper Plains, and as promised, I’ll help you with your UGS. You need to arrive there, and I know it won’t be difficult for you at all, for you are the strongest in the entire Middle Plains!

”Now, please leave the task to ’escort’ the Cursed One to the ’Fateless Celestial’. My dear servant is more than capable enough to handle the dangers!”

Just as the Destin Saint’s words trailed off, the Möbius-blade pulsed once, and the very space around Jacob’s listless inverted. Thereafter, his entire form began to dissolve into shimmering fragments of law, devoured by the paradoxical weapon!

The Möbius-blade again shifted, turning back into its endless loophole, revolving endlessly without fail.

Alexandra’s expression warped when Jacob’s body was swallowed by the now seemingly antique yet ordinary Möbius strip, and she didn’t know it could do that.

But in truth, she knew nothing about the actual abilities of the Möbius strip at all, except that it can be used as a weapon that can render even a UGS helpless against it.

”Now, I’ll be taking my leav...hmm?” Destin Saint was about to leave when, suddenly, a rare hint of surprise surfaced in his voice.

However, the next moment, an eerie voice seemed to reverberate throughout the void like a death knell...

”Well, Destin Saint, I should thank you for your service!”

The next moment, the very space wrapped around the Fateless Celestial, and the void turned into an inescapable claw as it swallowed the revolving Fateless Celestial!
