Cursed Immortality

Chapter 1032: Crimson Tempest and Solar Maul

”Life Bane Wheel-Life Devour!”

The next moment, behind Nyza, the Life Bane Wheel manifested, and this time, the Life Bane Wheel was completely black like a black hole.

Following Jacob’s recent research and practice, the Life Bane Wheel proved to be far more powerful than it had been in the past. It was now on par with a Law Ability, and the most terrifying aspect about it was that it didn’t have the backlash associated with Law Ability.

The moment Life Devour was activated, Nyza felt a terrifying suction force locked on her, and it wasn’t just any suction force, as she thought everything, including her laws, and even the Ember Rebirth Flame that she was so proud of, was being devoured by this suction force.

Even the vague construct of the Celestial Astrolabe behind her couldn’t stop the suction force, not to mention the astrolabe was also being devoured by it!

”Rebirth ignition!” Nyza instantly abandoned her attack on Jacob and used another spell to escape from Life Devour.

Her body turned into ashes as she tried to escape the locking force of the Life Bane Wheel, just like she had been doing previously. However, this time, it didn’t work. The Life Bane Wheel swirled like a vortex and pulled the ashes in like a giant beast’s maw.

On the other hand, Jacob felt profound energy entering his body through the Life Devour, and he knew it was Nyza’s comprehension of the Fire Law. After further refinement, the Life Devour can not only devour vitality but also laws and evolve itself. This was all because Jacob experimented on Alma.

Although the Life Devour still couldn’t devour 100% comprehension of its victim’s laws, it can still devour a part of it before killing them, and Jacob welcomes it, no matter how low the benefits.

Furthermore, as Nyza was being devoured, Jacob also got new insight into her so-called Ember Rebirth Flames, which he had already been analyzing through his Eye of Judge.

Jacob was focused entirely on devouring Nyza, without regard for her struggles or concern for her escape.

The moment he activated the Life Bane Wheel, he knew Nyza couldn’t escape unless she were above Quasi-Myth Rank!

Nyza also sensed impending death at this moment, and in her ash-form, suddenly turns into violent flames, and without caring about her life and death, she tries to engulf the black hole like Life Bane While.

She wanted to burn this nefarious ability at least even if she failed to kill Jacob. Yet, she had no clue the Life Bane Wheel was the product of an Immortal Chapter of a Universal Godly Scripture, how could it be so easily destroyed?

The moment she engulfed it with her flames, it appeared as if the Life Bane Wheel would crumble, but the next moment, an infinity symbol suddenly surfaced on Jacob’s apex crown. The suction force behind the Life Bane Wheel increased even further on top of its raging power.

The Ember Rebirth Flame instantly twisted before getting sucked into the Life Bane Wheel without leaving even a sliver of its glory left.

On the other hand, Vortigash had witnessed this entire scene, and a hint of incredulity surfaced in the depths of his arrogant eyes.

’He devoured a ’Quasi-Divine Flame’ with his current Demigod rank Law Ability? I have to reevaluate his threat level...’ Vortigash thought as a hint of vigilance flashed past his eyes hidden behind killing intent.

Right after the last flickers of Ashflare Nyza’s Ember Rebirth Flame were devoured by the abyssal pull of the Life Bane Wheel, silence reclaimed the fiery coliseum.

Then—RUMBLE!

The arena trembled once more as two new sigils—larger and more intricate than before—descended from the crimson sky like burning comets.

They struck the ground with twin booms, sending out spirals of flame that coalesced on either side of the flame barrier separating Jacob and Vortigash.

From these sigils, two new Flame Acolytes began to take shape, their forms far more defined and intense than their predecessors.

The first to rise from the flame was an androgynous, whirling figure cloaked in torn crimson robes that flared like storm-tossed banners. His hair flowed behind him like living wildfire—short in the front, but trailing like comets from the back. His body was lean, wiry, and his bare skin pulsed with tribal flame markings that shimmered in constant motion.

He floated an inch above the ground, his feet never touching the molten sigils. Around him, the air surged with high-pressure currents—miniature flame cyclones orbited him like spirits of a dying storm.

His eyes were blazing vortexes, spinning with destruction, velocity, and chaos.

”I am Vaeliar, the Crimson Tempest Acolyte. My flame is the Tempest of Burning Skies—the breath of wildfire storms that turn everything to ash. I ride the winds of rage, and my flame does not burn slowly... it devours in seconds...”

As he extended his hand, five crimson vortexes spiraled into existence, each one humming with volatile flame energy compressed into bladed wind. The moment he exhaled, the surrounding flames twisted violently, roaring with an unstable rhythm like a breathing hurricane.

Jacob was still basking in the new comprehension after devouring Nyza, and he could feel the subtle change in Fire Law. But he wasn’t given a chance to absorb these benefits when Vaeliar made its regal entry.

His eyes flickered profoundly, ”A flame that combines the Law of Fire... and Wind? Interesting...”

On the other side, from the other sigil, the ground cracked open beneath Vortigash as a massive foot landed with an earth-shaking crash. Emerging from the inferno was a towering juggernaut—twice the size of Gahlreth.

His body was plated in molten gold and obsidian, his muscles etched with searing runes that pulsed with solar energy. His head was that of a bull, crowned with blazing horns that radiated pure sunfire.

In his massive gauntlet-clad hands, he wielded a great war maul that looked as if it had been forged inside a solar core—its every swing leaving behind solar afterimages and rippling space.

”Tharnak... of the Solar Maul. My flame is the Flame of Final Radiance—drawn from the heart of dying stars. My strikes are suns collapsed into fists. Burn or kneel.”

Even Vortigash’s arrogant smile faltered for a breath as he observed Tharnak’s raw pressure.

”Hmph. You bring giants after gnats? I welcome it.”

But deep inside, he marked this one as a genuine threat, thinking, ’The sunfire he radiated had hints of an ancient Solar Origin Flame—a rare Divine Flame, that can burn Myths!’

As the two new acolytes finished materializing, the arena shook again.

”Second Trial Initiated.”

”Flame Acolyte Vaeliar & Flame Acolyte Tharnak have been adjusted to Demigod Rank.

”Let the Second Match Begin!”
