Queen of Beasts: The boss becomes the savior by raising cubs

Chapter 10 The Pseudo-King

Chapter 10 The Pseudo-King
The baby orange essence had a puffy face, and stretched out a vine wrapped around the orange bomb and handed it to the maple demon’s mouth. The maple demon thought that the orange essence wanted to beg for mercy, and gave it a baby with powerful abilities. Swallow the orange bomb in one gulp, ready to slowly absorb it.

Seeing the maple demon swallowing the orange bomb, the baby orange spirit immediately abandoned the maple demon, turned around and ran away, and remotely controlled the orange bomb to explode.

In an instant, a violent shock wave erupted in front of the girls’ dormitory building. The huge maple demon was blown to pieces, and its tall body was blown up and flying all over the sky.

The trash cans, rockery, gravel, etc. on the playground were pushed back several meters by the powerful shock wave, and even Ye Yanran, who was 10 meters away, took two steps back.

The girls’ dormitory building behind her did not escape the impact of the shock wave, and there was a burst of ’cracking’ glass shattering.

The baby orange spirit who was in the center of the explosion was hit so hard that it backed up again and again. It turned its feet into tree roots and took root in the ground before stopping its back footsteps.

[Drip: Kill the false king-level ’mutated maple demon’, host experience +50, orange spirit experience +50. 】

[Drip: Kill the awakening level ’Rage Wild Boar’, the host experience value +10, the orange essence experience +10. 】

”spit~”

Ye Yanran shook her head, shaking off the dust on her face, the explosion just now blew up her body, blew her mouthful of sand, she spit, and was going to teach the orange essence baby not to inject too much energy into the orange bomb in the future .

Suddenly, she realized that something was wrong with the experience points she got this time.

Before killing the rose tree python and lynx demon, the system provided 10 experience points, but killing the maple tree demon provided 50 experience points, which is a bit wrong.

After carefully checking the system panel, Ye Yanran found out that this hard-to-handle maple tree demon was actually a fake king-level, and she had just leapfrogged to fight the boss.

Ye Yanran frowned, silently communicating with the system with her thoughts.

”System, what is the ’Pseudo-King Class’, is it the next stage of the Awakening Class?”

[Drip: The next stage of the awakening level is the king level. This awakened maple demon has absorbed the mutated energy of several super-powered creatures. If it absorbs the energy of the violent wild boar just now, it will evolve into a king-level maple tree king, so it is a pseudo-king level. 】

”Oh~”

Ye Yanran nodded silently, and the system gave her two important messages:
1. The next stage of the awakening level is the king level.

2. Wild awakened creatures can advance by devouring the energy of other awakened creatures.

Before, Ye Yanran was a little complacent, thinking that the baby orange spirit could beat ordinary awakened super creatures. Now it seems that she imagined things too simply. Although the baby orange essence is powerful, other mutant creatures are not vegetarian.

They can rely on the energy of devouring other super life forms to advance and become even more difficult to deal with.

The maple tree demon who has not yet completed the promotion can fight with the baby orange spirit. If they meet the maple tree king who is a real king, Ye Yanran and the baby orange spirit will not be opponents together.

In an instant, Ye Yanran was worried about her future again.

”Yah~”

At this time, the baby orange essence has become a smaller version, retreating to Ye Yanran’s lap.

Ye Yanran’s heart ached when she saw the baby orange essence’s dirty face, as well as the large and small scars on its body.

She knelt down, gently wiped the dust off the baby orange essence with her small hands, and asked worriedly, ”Baby orange essence, are you alright?”

”Yeah~” (I’m fine, I beat that bad guy, I’m going to bomb them later.)
uh~
Ye Yanran looked at Juzijing a little speechlessly. Before that, she planned to raise the baby Juzijing into a ’meat shield’ pet.But after a battle, the orange essence baby seems to have discovered its own advantage and is ready to be a remote output.

Regarding this, Ye Yanran didn’t know whether to cry or laugh.

”Forget it, let’s clean up the battlefield first!”

The mutated maple tree demon had been blown to pieces by the baby orange spirit, and Ye Yanran didn’t know if its corpse could still trigger the plant illustrated book, so she could only choose a relatively well-preserved trunk to try.

[Drip: Found a false king-level ’mutated maple demon’, whether it is included in the plant illustrated book. 】

Ye Yanran’s eyes lit up, and she immediately included the mutated maple demon in the plant illustrated book.

[Plant Illustrated Book: Kumquat (Unawakened), Mutated Orange Essence (Awakened), Mutant Maple Demon (Pseudo-King). 3/5】

[Mutated maple tree demon: It was originally a century-old maple tree in Xiaojun Mountain. After receiving the special energy radiation of the meteorite, it evolved into an awakening-level maple tree demon. After that, it devoured a variety of super-powered creatures and was about to evolve into a king-level maple tree king.

The mutated maple tree demon has strong physical strength and is good at using vines to attack enemies. After absorbing the energy of a large number of super creatures, its IQ is greatly improved.

skill:
Rooting (Put the roots into the ground and enter a dormant state, which can slowly restore abilities.)
Vine Entanglement (Releases strong vines to entangle enemies.)
Underground Assault (Release several vines from the ground to sneak attack the enemy.)
Training direction: None]

Ye Yanran was a little disappointed after watching the mutated Maple Demon’s skills. She thought that the Maple Demon, who was about to evolve into the Maple King, would have some extraordinary skills.

But I don’t know if it’s because it hasn’t evolved yet, or because it has poor aptitude. It doesn’t have that kind of ability to blow up the sky.

Just when Ye Yanran was about to copy the ’Underground Assault’ skill that she had been thinking about, she suddenly found that the skills provided by the maple tree demon were somewhat different from the skills provided by the baby orange essence.

[Take root]: Put the roots into the ground and enter a dormant state, which can slowly restore the ability. (reproducible, low host fitness)

Ye Yanran didn’t plan to copy the tasteless skill of rooting, but it doesn’t mean she doesn’t pay attention. For the first time, she discovered that there was a problem of skill compatibility.

”System, what does fit mean?”

[Drip: The host is a wood-type supernatural being, which is more suitable for wood-type skills. ’Rooting’ is a unique skill of plant-type creatures. The host can consume experience points to transform it into a skill suitable for you. 】

Ye Yanran immediately lost interest when she heard about expending experience points. She still dislikes that she can’t level up fast enough. How can she have extra experience points to transform such useless skills? Doesn’t her own phoenix mark not smell good?
”Copy ’Underground Assault’.”

[Drip: The copy of ’Underground Assault’ was successful, and the system has updated the skill template for the host. 】

[Underground Assault]: Gather the wood-type abilities in the body, gather several vines underground to attack the enemies on the ground. (Consume 5 power points)
After copying the underground raid skills, Ye Yanran nodded happily. She now has 3 major attack skills, and her combat power has improved again.

”Properties Panel!”
