Lord of the Truth

1086  Blood

”No!!” One of the Warlords screamed in a heavy voice as he realized what was about to happen.

”Die!” Nearly fifty Martial Emperors surrounding him lunged forward, unleashing massive waves of thick, purple mist in his direction.

”AAHHH--!” The sound of thousands of people melting simultaneously was horrifying. Yet, their screams didnʼt last long.

Within seconds, the golden fragments of the colossal armor began to dissolve, allowing the purple mist to seep inside, reaching the Saints and Sages embedded within the array.

Normally, these individuals would be in a deep state of slumber, controlled by a single person— the Heart of the Array Tattoo Bearer. But now, the moment the mist touched them, they awoke only to scream out their final cries of agony. The last thing they saw was their own bodies disintegrating, unable to do anything to stop it.

BOOM

Within less than a minute, the massive Warlord was reduced to an empty shell. The blackened fragments of his armor collapsed onto the ground—nothing remained inside.

”Next!” The Martial Emperors pointed at the remaining Warlords.

After the waves of purple sun fire, they had begun burning their Durger blood inside them without restraint. They no longer cared about their future ranks or the potential loss of power after the battle.

Nothing mattered to them anymore— except victory.

BAAAM SHWALAAA

”For His Majesty!!” One of the Great Serpent Empireʼs Emperors roared with all his might. His teeth, worn by old age, had begun to fall out, and his voice barely escaped his throat.

Yet, despite his frail state, he pushed himself forward with his crazy purple eyes, defying the heavy gravitational force of Nihariʼs Planetary Field with all his remaining strength.

”Damn it!” Caesar staggered back once more.

After using the Black Flame Veil to repel dozens of Martial Emperors and confine the battle of the Martial Emperors away from Amon, he was now being forced into retreat —again and again— until he was now nearly pressed against Amonʼs massive frame.

”What the hell is wrong with you people!?” Caesar was genuinely stunned by what he was witnessing.

This was the first time he had ever fought opponents who seemed to care so little for their own lives.

Ever since that purple glow had ignited in their eyes, it was as if their minds had been completely sealed away.

Within mere minutes, Caesar had slaughtered nearly fifty of them, all because they had mindlessly hurled themselves into his Black Flames, accepting certain death just to push him backward!

------------

Swoosh Swoosh

Not far from Caesar, Amon was fighting for his life.

The tens of thousands of enemy soldiers scaling his colossal frame had turned his very body into a battlefield.

Every single step he took felt like an impossible task, so he shifted his entire focus to his Blood Auras.

With grim determination, he detonated several sections of his own flesh, manipulating the surging rivers of blood to form miniature halos, attacking the relentless soldiers climbing him like ants.

Chiii Chiii

The Blood Auras lashed out wildly across his body—razor-sharp whips slicing through every enemy they touched.

With every passing second, dozens, no—hundreds of soldiers were torn apart.

Yet, it did not stop them.

They kept climbing, relentless in their pursuit of higher ground.

”...OOOOHHHH!!”

With a thunderous war cry, Amon let out a devastating roar, obliterating the uppermost ranks of enemy soldiers who had nearly reached his abdomen.

But the overwhelming weight pressing down on him grew heavier still, and for the first time— Amon began to stagger.

”Donʼt give up!!”

In front of Amon, the demon generals tried to revive their soldiers as much as possible. After facing an enemy capable of matching their madness, they no longer knew what to do. Now, it was a battle of tit for tat— casualties on both sides were mounting at an alarming rate. If not for the instant space portals opening within the city, releasing around 150,000 demons and countless local soldiers, the main armyʼs battle would have already ended.

However, the emergence of these reinforcements didnʼt mean the tides of battle would change.

Swish Swish BOOOOM!

Warships continued to arrive, loaded with troops, while their cannons focused fire on the instant space portals— especially those from which the locals were emerging. Each of these cannon blasts was powerful enough to kill dozens of locals effortlessly. As a result, even after an extended period, no more than 10,000 locals had managed to gather inside the city.

”Khoryaaa!!”

The Seventy-Seventh Son charged toward the massive mammoth, cloaked in a dense layer of purple mist so thick that his own skin couldnʼt withstand it, peeling off piece by piece.

Fwoooosh!

Despite the reckless charge, the mammoth didnʼt back down. It lifted its head and then slammed its enormous trunk down on its opponent.

Ssssshh!

The moment the mammothʼs trunk made contact, it disintegrated instantly, scattering into the air. But the mammoth refused to yield—it opened its massive mouth full of protruding fangs and bit down!

”Ghhhkk!!”

The Seventy-Seventh Son screamed in agony as one of the tusks pierced through his abdomen. Yet, he didnʼt stop. He kept pushing forward.

”HEYAAAAAA!!”

BAAM!

The Seventy-Seventh Son plummeted from the sky, his abdomen pierced, his body fading away by his own Corrosion Minor Law. Yet, even in his last moments, his glowing purple eyes continued scanning the battlefield, searching for another target —to kill and serve His Majesty— until they dimmed forever.

This scene played out repeatedly. The battle against soul creatures had turned into pure suicide missions—both sides were too powerful and cared nothing for their own survival. Out of the 102 soul creatures, only 57 remained, and they endured solely because Marshal Lonta and Marshal Snite were still among them!

Zzznn! Zzznn!

Sakaar swung his blade forcefully, sending his ten Underworld Daisies forward trying to harvest the lives of ten flying emperors in an instant. However, he was immediately struck by a war hammer in return.

BAAAANG!

The force of the blow sent him flying back dozens of meters before he managed to stabilize himself.

”Youʼre courting death!”

Richard appeared like an angel of death, striking down the enemy who had attacked Sakaar with a single punch, shattering his skull.

”Tsk~ If only the soul creature Hofenheim was still here. His vines would have been a great help,” Richard muttered before slamming down onto the ground, soul creature Hoffenheim was obliterated by Holakʼs first full-power punch.

BAAAM!

Richard began channeling a massive amount of life energy through the soles of his feet.

Swish Swish!

From the earth, metal and stone spears erupted, striking down the advancing enemy infantry.

”Bffhh...” Sakaar spat out a mouthful of blood and surveyed the battlefield with a grim expression.

The Empire of True Beginningʼs army was being crushed in every battle, with no hope of counterattack. Meanwhile, more warships kept arriving, and more martial emperors and imperial guards emerged onto the battlefield.

Taking a deep breath, Sakaar raised his head and shouted at the top of his lungs: ”Listen up, everyone! Crown Prince Richard has unlocked space restrictions. This is a direct order from me, Supreme General Sakaar—withdraw from your positions! Use any means necessary! Gather here—Our sole mission shall be protecting the Lord!!”
