Lord of the Truth

1061  You are not Sakaar

”My King..?!” When Amonʼs aide finally noticed where the blood was flowing, he jumped and abandoned his battle, wanting to see what was going on.

With both his hands and feet on the ground, his face facing down and his claws digging into it, Amon opened his mouth only to gulp gulp.

Amonʼs aide opened his mouth wide in shock at the sight, but he didnʼt dare approach his king. The massive amount of blood had formed a small sea around Amon.

Summoning blood in this way was not exclusive to any specific demon; all of them had a spicific affinity for the blood path. Something simple like this was never a problem for them; in fact, they had been accustomed to doing it since ancient times to drain their victimsʼ corpses of blood for storage. Eventually, it became a ritual they performed after every battle.

Of course, each one of them would collect a few drops here and there, perhaps a few buckets to take back to their young. However, gathering blood on this scale could only be achieved by kings of Amon and Sakaarʼs level.

But... Amon wasnʼt just collecting the blood. Gulp Gulp Gulp!!!

”No, My King, what are you doing?!” The assistant shouted loudly.

Rip!

Amonʼs stomach expanded until it tore open, and blood began to flow out just as it had gone in. But trrrr, the blood quickly coagulated to seal the wound, and Amon continued drinking as if nothing had happened.

”My King!!” Amonʼs assistant took two steps forward but stopped again. ”What are you trying to achieve? You canʼt compress blood!”

”Arghhh!!!”

Rip Rip

Amonʼs stomach burst again, this time his chest was punctured, and his arm muscles ruptured. ”Aaaaahhhh!!!”

But Amon did not stop; he began channeling the blood to enter his body through those openings, using them as additional mouths.

”Please stop, My King! The enemy martial emperors have retreated to deal with the Lordʼs Soul Creatures; come back and try to lead us to victory!”

Rip Rip Rip

”KING!!!” The assistant struck his thigh. ”What are you trying to prove? No matter what you do, you canʼt compress blood within your body! Youʼre not King Sakaar!!”

”Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! Aaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!”

Amon finally raised his face toward the sky and roared. Gulp Gulp Gulp

The assistantʼs words were meant as a reminder and advice, but they only rubbed salt into the wound.

Rip Rip Rip

”My King, youʼll kill yourself! You canʼt endure anymore! Your Majesty, youʼll explode from within! My King, you--”

Amonʼs assistant tried his best to salvage the situation, desperately attempting to dissuade his master from his suicidal attempt.

He didnʼt realize that he was gradually lifting his face upward with each passing word until finally, the sun was blocked from his view.

”...My King, you!?”

-----------

”Battalions One, Two, and Three— take the first defensive formation immediately!”

”Battalions Four through Ten— deploy into the seventh mid-range attack formation!”

”Long-range battalions, fire at will whenever ready!”

Despite the presence of two formidable Marshals and a hundred soul creatures with strength compared to mid-to-high-level martial emperors, the army of the Great Serpent Empire refused to crumble. They stood their ground with unwavering resolve.

Nearly twenty experienced generals, each possessing vast knowledge of battlefield tactics, furiously analyzed the ever-changing combat landscape. Their minds worked relentlessly to devise the most effective strategies, ensuring that every available resource was utilized to its fullest potential.

”Your Highness, the 77th Prince! You must stop the Marshals and that Mammoth at all costs— if you donʼt, all our carefully constructed formations will collapse!”

The 77th Prince narrowed his eyes, his gaze locking onto the towering figures of the enemy Marshals. Their terrifying presence and overwhelming power radiated through the battlefield like an unstoppable storm. Without hesitation, the prince turned to his troops and bellowed with authority,

By now, the entirety of the Northern Army had arrived, swelling their numbers to nearly a thousand martial emperors engaged in fierce battle against roughly 300 demon emperors. The battlefield was a chaotic sea of clashing steel, blood, and raw power.

The martial emperors of the Great Serpent Empire had been given strict orders—no unnecessary risks were to be taken, and their survival was paramount. The empire had already paid a steep price in this relentless war, and they could not afford further losses. Once, they boasted an army of nearly 4,000 martial emperors, but now they struggled to muster even 2,000 in total.

Faced with the relentless ferocity of the rampaging demon emperors, a strategic solution had been implemented—teams of two or three martial emperors were formed to contain and gradually eliminate the demons in a methodical, calculated manner, minimizing casualties as much as possible.

However, the moment the 77th Princeʼs commanding voice pierced the battlefield—

Swoosh Swoosh—

Roughly 300 martial emperors from the Great Serpent Empire swiftly abandoned their current engagements, rallying to his side in a synchronized motion. The air around them crackled with anticipation.

”Listen well!” The princeʼs voice rang clear and sharp. ”Those soul creatures will not perish easily! Maintain your three-man formations and encircle those hundred demons. Beat them relentlessly until their summoners are left with no choice but to withdraw them!”

”Yes, Your Highness!” The assembled emperors roared in unison, their voices brimming with unwavering determination.

With purpose in his steps, the 77th Prince turned to his closest warriors—twenty imperial guards, battle-hardened and steadfast in their loyalty. His gaze was firm as he gestured toward their next target.

”Come with me. We will face these two ourselves!”

Without hesitation, the prince and his elite guards surged forward, heading straight for the enemy Marshals—Lonta and Snite, two towering figures whose very names struck fear into the hearts of lesser warriors.

The battlefield trembled beneath the weight of their impending clash.

However, despite the princeʼs strategic planning, the reality of war was far from simple. The soul creatures they faced were not mere fodder—they were immensely powerful entities, entirely unfazed by injuries that would cripple ordinary soldiers. Their endurance and sheer power were unlike anything the Great Serpent Empire had encountered before. Each soul creature operated at a mid-to-high martial emperor level of strength, and even when facing three martial emperors simultaneously, they often emerged victorious.

The situation was no different with the Marshals. Against the imperial guards, even a staggering one-versus-ten battle seemed effortless for them. Their overwhelming might made them nearly unstoppable forces on the battlefield.

Yet... despite the difficulties, the generals and the 77th Prince had achieved their primary objective—to isolate the soul creatures from the main force, giving their army a fighting chance.

”Hold your ground!” One of the generals shouted, his voice booming over the battlefield. ”Prepare yourselves, we will advance again!”

Their strategy remained clear—securing the City of Hope was the key to ultimate victory.

BAAAM! At that moment, a strong tremor shook the earth beneath their feet. BAAAM!
