Demonic Po*nstar System

Chapter 563: Chaotic Chat

The silence after the system notification didn’t even get the courtesy of a full breath.

The stream overlay detonated.

Donation alerts began slamming in back-to-back, stacking fast. The live view counter spiked again, climbing sharply as clips propagated outward and latecomers poured in, drawn by the Awakened Media Platform’s algorithm.

Then the bet’s banner updated.

BET RESOLVED — RESULT: NO

A second later, the payout was finalized.

WINNERS: 20%

LOSERS: 80%

The chat lost all remaining dignity.

- Kaiden’s Wife: Yay!!! I won!!! I told you all!!! 😤😤😤

- Kaiden’s Wife: Never. Bet. Against. Kaiden.

- benchpressboi: This is a scam

- steeldad69: Who knew they’d kill it before it even messed Calypso up???

- grimodds: I put everything on yes

- grimodds: Everything

- grimodds: This is bullshit

- mathmage: Statistically this made sense

- mathmage: I still lost everything

- mathmage: Moral of the story: don’t bet while high and drunk, kids

- xx_truckkun_reborn_xx: Bro it didn’t even touch them 😭 fucking turtle ass monster 😭 it looked so badass, I was sure it’d make them run 😭

Channel points redistributed in massive chunks, numbers flipping violently as the 20% cashed out and the 80% collectively screamed into the void. Salt flowed like a flood, punctuated by donation messages from winners who made sure to use the ’highlight message’ feature to let the losers know how much points they bet and how much they got in return.

Calypso’s eyes slid toward the chat feed.

She read exactly one line.

Then another.

Her jaw tightened.

”You fuckers...” she growled. ”You bet on the Great Calypso getting messed up?!”

The effect was immediate.

It was like a switch flipped in the collective survival instinct of the chat.

- grimodds: Now hold on

- grimodds: Let’s not jump to conclusions here

- benchpressboi: In my defense, it was a hypothetical injury

- steeldad69: A very respectful hypothetical injury

- mathmage: No one was rooting for it, statistically speaking

- benchpressboi: Are you retarded? you did

- mathmage: Snitches get the stitches, boy

- benchpressboi: ... Unc is truly high rn

- xx_truckkun_reborn_xx: Queen I swear I believed in you 😭🙏

Calypso squinted.

Nyx peeked over her shoulder, barely holding back laughter. ”Wow. Look at them grovel.”

The groveling intensified.

- lapsofdoom: Mighty demoness please forgive our lack of faith

- rune_rat: Calypso supremacy acknowledged

- axeandabs: We were foolish to doubt the embodiment of violence

- grimodds: In my heart I voted no

- grimodds: My fingers betrayed me

Calypso huffed, clearly enjoying this far more than she wanted to admit. The demoness was very new to this whole content creation and entertainment aspect of life, but, as with everything that Kaiden had an interest in, the woman ventured to understand it as best as possible so that she could help her Darling.

She resented the mere idea of being an obtuse nuisance who was only in his life to fight alongside during the day and sleep with at night. She wanted to be more than that, so much more. An emotional support, a great friend, someone who surprised her lover even after an entire life spent together.

That’s why she did her utmost to not only educate herself but also to excel at entertainment.

The Infernal Matriarch scoffed. ”Hmph. Good.”

Bastet’s lips curved as she glanced at the feed. ”Isn’t it amazing how quickly faith returns when threatened? All it needs is an angry demon with a large axe in her hands.”

Kaiden let out a dark chuckle. ”You all made your choices. Stop asking for a refund.”

The effect on the chat was... immediate.

It wasn’t shouting this time.

It was worse.

- LilyRose: Why did that laugh do things to me

- Mina_Star: That was not fair

- SoftPeach: This is dangerous for my heart...

- JadeMoon: No because imagine him stepping forward and telling you to behave

- Snowdrop: I would fold instantly

- MoonlitInk: Handsome knight energy

- VelvetRune: No no no he’s not a knight, he’s the kind that grabs your chin and tells you to tiptoe for a kiss

Kaiden raised a brow as the feed exploded again. His dismissive declaration of no refunds seemed to have done a number on a certain demographic of his viewers.

- PinkComet (highlighted): Sorry for doubting you, my liege 😔

- SilverLune (highlighted): I lost points but gained a new husbando

- Kaiden’s Wife: BACK OFF HE IS TAKEN 😤😤😤

- LilyRose: Sharing is caring, sis

- Mina_Star: Respectfully, I just want him to look at me like he looks at monsters

- Snowdrop: You bitches need to touch grass

- Snowdrop: But same

Just then, Aria clapped her hands together.

The sound cut cleanly through the chaos like a bell struck in a quiet hall.

The stream overlay shifted instantly to her. Moonlight traced the smooth lines of her armor and her silver hair cascaded down her back in soft waves. Even right after the second battle of the day, the Moon Valkyrie was still as regal, graceful, and gorgeous as ever.

She smiled for the viewers.

It was a beautiful smile.

It just didn’t reach her eyes.

Those stayed sharp, focused, and possessive.

”Well then,” Aria chirped brightly, voice sweet and light, hands clasped behind her back as she leaned forward a fraction. ”Let’s move on, shall we?”

A chill rippled through the chat.

Not panic. Not fear.

Something worse. Something delighted.

- MoonlitInk: Oh no

- Snowdrop: That smile is illegal

- VelvetRune: She said it so nicely though

- LilyRose: I understand the simps...

- Snowdrop: Bitch, wdym? You’re a simp too

- LilyRose: Mods!!

Kaiden chuckled under his breath and reached out, fingers sinking into Aria’s lush silver hair. He gave her head a gentle pat, the kind that made her shoulders relax just a touch as she leaned into his hand without thinking.

”Alright. Enough messing around.”

Aria’s smile softened then, warmth blooming now that his attention was on her, and she straightened eagerly. ”Say it, Kai...”

Kaiden looked at her questioningly, just for a heartbeat.

It wasn’t confusion. More like a pause to confirm what she wanted, what she needed. His fingers remained tangled in her silver hair, thumb resting lightly against her scalp, grounding her there as he searched her eyes. Aria held his gaze without blinking, expectant, hopeful, a little too intense in that way that only she could manage while still smiling sweetly.

Understanding dawned immediately.

A faint huff of amusement escaped him, fond and knowing. With his hand still resting on her head, he leaned closer and spoke softly. ”Excellent job thus far,” he said, voice warm and steady. Then, just a touch lower, more intimate, he added, ”My beautiful moon.”

The effect was instant.

Aria lit up.

Her eyes widened, pupils dilating as if the world itself had just brightened, her smile blooming with such force it looked almost painful to hold back. Color rushed to her cheeks, shoulders squaring as if she’d just been knighted rather than praised.

Here it was.

The nickname. Her nickname. One given by him, earned, spoken aloud for everyone to hear.

Her heart melted on the spot.

Before she could overthink it, Aria rose onto her tiptoes, fingers clutching lightly at the front of his armor as she pressed a brief kiss to his lips. It was quick, soft, but overflowing with emotion she didn’t even try to hide.

”I love you so much,” she murmured breathlessly as she pulled back just enough to look at him, eyes shining. ”Too much...”

Kaiden grinned, the kind that showed he wasn’t even pretending to be unaffected. His thumb brushed once against her cheeks, possessive and gentle all at once. ”The feeling is mutual.”
