Chapter 553: Rise and Shine

Luna, however, didn’t immediately move to get out of bed. Instead, she remained straddled across Kaiden’s chest. She reached her slim arms up to her hair while her delicate breasts pressed firmly against his chest as she began to expertly tie her messy hair into twin tails.

“Aaaaaand… cut,” she murmured.

Kaiden raised an eyebrow while his hands instinctively found her sexy butt to grab onto. “Hm? Wait, don’t tell me you filmed that?”

Luna looked down at him before letting a smug, mischievous grin spread across her face. “Yep. I knew it was going to be an absolute banger, a major hit with the horny chicks, so I recorded everything from the moment we hauled you in here in our slutty bikini armor like a prized prey to be eaten. Actually, I even have scenes of us doing our preparations.”

She paused, her cheeks suddenly flushing a fresh shade of scarlet as she looked away. “I started editing the first few clips yesterday while I was resting between my ‘turns’… but…”

She trailed off, her fingers fumbling slightly with her hair tie. “Yeah, I kinda forgot about the ‘work’ aspect after a while. You knocked me out cold, you jerk.”

Despite her words, she began raising her legs and kicking them rhythmically into the air, a clear sign of utmost happiness. But the girl narrowed her eyes at him as if he were a guilty man.

“You’re a sadist…” she whispered, her voice trembling slightly as she remembered the aggressive mating sessions she’d been put through one after the other. She tried to pretend to resist at first, but… Luna’s cheeks reddened even further as she remembered a few scenes she’ll never admit to.

But, well, she already edited the video, so it won’t be a secret…

Kaiden planted a firm, lingering peck on her lips and decreed, “You really are a crafty girl, Luna. I love you.”

“!!” Seeing his hopelessly sincere expression, the already crimson-cheeked girl seemed to transform into a ripe tomato.

“How can you say it with such a sincere expression… So unfair…”

Luna scoffed, trying to maintain her smug director persona even as her heart hammered against her ribs. “Hmph…”

She turned her head away, but the way her toes curled in the air betrayed her absolute delight.

Kaiden chuckled, the sound vibrating through his chest and into the girl. He knew exactly what she was thinking – for all her claims about his “sadism,” she had been the one begging for more until her voice went hoarse.

With a sudden, decisive movement, he brought his hand down, delivering a crisp, loud slap to her perky, exposed butt. The sound echoed through the high-ceilinged room, a definitive end to the lazy morning silence.

“Alright, my beautiful warrioresses,” he announced. “It’s time to rise and shine.”

Aria let out a giggly squeak as she rolled off his chest, while Nyx and Calypso stretched like long, elegant predators, their muscles rippling under their skin. Bastet, still behind his head, let out one final, loud purr before she hopped gracefully to the floor, her tail swishing with renewed energy.

The bed, which had been a fortress of intimacy and exhaustion just minutes ago, was now a flurry of activity. The grind was calling.

…

The six of them emerged from the master suite moments later, the chaotic intimacy of the bed replaced by composed elegance. Rich robes draped over toned bodies, silk and enchanted fabric settling naturally over shoulders and hips.

Hair was brushed, loosely tied, or left to fall freely down backs still warm from sleep, and the faint scent of soap lingered in the air as they moved down the corridor together.

Then they reached the kitchen.

Kaiden stopped so abruptly that Nyx walked into his back.

There, bathed in the gentle morning light, stood a sight so unexpected that his mind refused to process it for a full second.

Alice was at the counter, wearing a proper apron like a professional chef. She hummed softly to herself while carefully working a whisk through a bowl of batter, movements slow and deliberate, tongue peeking out slightly in concentration. A waffle iron hissed quietly nearby, filling the room with a warm, sweet scent.

To the side, leaning casually against the counter, stood Alexandra.

She was in her demonic maid uniform, but there was nothing performative about her posture now. She was a mere observer, not part of the cooking process. Her expression was carefree and relaxed in a way Kaiden had never seen before. She looked… light. Joyful. At peace. Whatever had happened between them hadn’t needed words, but Kaiden understood instantly.

Something important had gone down while he was busy.

“Big brother, good morning!” Alice chirped without turning her head, entirely focused on her task. “Please take a seat.”

Bastet chuckled softly and gestured with her tail. “We’ll leave you two to it. If she’s cooking, then she’s doing it for you.”

There was a pause.

Then Alice spoke again, her voice tighter this time, just a little strained. “Are you not hungry? Or do cats not like sweets? I heard dogs can’t eat chocolate.”

All six of them widened their eyes in perfect, synchronized shock.

This… this was wrong. Or rather, unprecedented. Alice wasn’t hissing. She wasn’t clinging possessively. She wasn’t trying to drive them away so she could have Kaiden all to herself. She was inviting them. Cooking for them.

Nyx recovered first, her lips curving into a bright smile as she immediately pulled out a chair and sat. “It smells amazing. Thank you for the wonderful morning surprise, little sister.”

“For the record,” Bastet sighed as she took her own seat, “I’m a Ra-Blessed Felinid, not a cat. And I love sweets.”

“What’ve you got for us, little sis?” Luna asked, leaning forward with open curiosity.

“…”

Alice didn’t answer. Instead, she lifted the first plate with great care and walked over, placing it directly in front of Kaiden.

The moment he saw it, something old and tender stirred in his chest. The shape. The color. The way the butter was already melting into the grooves, honey pooled just right on top.

“Oh.”

Memory hit him all at once: sunlight on benches, a cheap paper plate, a younger Alice holding it like it was the greatest treasure ever.

“You remembered,” he said quietly.

“I would never forget,” Alice replied.

Kaiden broke the waffle cleanly in half, just like he had back then, and held one piece up between them. “Will you share it with me?”

“There will be enough for us all,” Alice said, but, contrary to her words, she was already climbing onto his closest thigh, settling there happily as she accepted her half. She leaned into him, resting her head against his chest, and together they lifted the waffle to their lips.

She chewed once. Twice. Then looked up at him, eyes shining with complete contentment. “How is it?”

Kaiden swallowed and, to his shock, felt emotion tightening his throat.

“… Perfect.”

“!!” Alice’s body shook in response and her entire face lit up.

It was the biggest smile of her life.

…

The first day of the competition had ended with Kaiden and his allies lagging behind the competition. But they gained a lot, and they were only getting started.

It was time to get the second day underway now, but unknown to Kaiden, a surprise awaited him outside the Guild Hall.
