Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 945 - 428: Mysterious Creature

After defeating the mysterious shadow, David and the three Witches did not immediately leave the cave.

They knew that the appearance of this creature was no accident, there might be some unknown plot or threat behind it.

To uncover the truth and prevent similar incidents, they decided to investigate the origin and purpose of this creature deeply.

First, they carefully examined the shadow lying on the ground.

They found the creature’s body structure to be remarkably peculiar, both like a human and a beast, covered in a layer of hard black scales.

What surprised them even more was a strange rune pattern on the shadow’s chest, unlike any runes they had seen before.

”This rune pattern looks very strange.” Aria pointed to the rune on the shadow’s chest, saying, ”I have never seen such a rune, it may contain some special meaning or power.”

”Indeed, it’s very strange.”

David frowned, contemplating, ”And the appearance of this creature was too sudden. We must find out its origin and purpose.”

So the four decided to leave the cave and investigate the place where the shadow appeared.

They followed the traces left by the shadow, through dense forests, over mountains, across rivers...

After days of arduous travel, they finally arrived at an abandoned village shrouded in darkness.

This village seemed to have been abandoned for a long time, the houses were in ruins, weeds were overgrown, and it was deathly silent.

However, the four keenly sensed an unusual aura—there seemed to be some secret or danger hidden here.

”Everyone, be careful.” David quietly reminded, ”There might be unknown dangers lurking here.”

The four carefully entered the village and began to search diligently.

They checked every house, every corner, trying to find clues or evidence related to the shadow.

After some searching, they finally found some critical clues in a dilapidated church.

In the church’s basement, they discovered a mysterious altar.

Many strange items and rune patterns were placed on the altar, including the same rune pattern as on the shadow’s chest.

Moreover, in the center of the altar was a deep hole emitting eerie and powerful energy waves.

”It seems this altar is closely related to the shadow.” Lianna analyzed, ”Also, the energy waves emanating from the hole are very unusual. We must respond cautiously.”

David nodded in agreement.

”Indeed, we must respond cautiously.” He said gravely, ”But since we have found this place, we can’t give up easily. We need to continue investigating to uncover the truth.”

Thus, the four decided to venture into the hole to take a closer look.

They carefully climbed down the hole, always alert to any dangers that might appear around them.

After some arduous climbing, they finally arrived at a huge underground cave.

This underground cave was extremely spacious and deep, with strange runes and patterns all around.

In the center of the cave was a massive black pool, emanating a dark and mysterious glow.

What was even more shocking was that at the bottom of the pool floated many corpses of creatures similar to the shadow!

”These creatures were all born from here!” Nova exclaimed in surprise, ”It seems this underground cave is the lair of the mysterious creature!”

”Indeed.” David said deeply, ”Moreover, there are deeper secrets hidden here. We must continue investigating.”

So the four continued exploring the cave.

They moved along the cave passages, passing through numerous mechanisms and traps, eventually arriving at a giant secret chamber.

The door of the secret chamber was etched with complex runes and patterns, exuding an ancient and mysterious aura.

”It seems this secret chamber is the place we’re looking for.” Aria pointed at the runes on the chamber door, saying, ”These runes are very similar to the runes on the shadow’s chest. Inside might be a hidden secret or clue related to the shadow.”

David nodded in agreement.

”Let’s open the door and go inside.” He said, ”But everyone be careful, there might be unknown dangers inside.”

So the four used magic together to break the rune restriction on the chamber door and successfully opened it.

Selectively safeguarding their entry, they began to search meticulously...

Upon entering the chamber, David and the three Witches were stunned by the scene before them. This chamber was unusually spacious and tall, with walls covered in complex runes and patterns, exuding an ancient and mysterious aura.

In the center of the chamber was a massive black altar, on which were placed many strange items and magical artifacts.

”It seems this chamber is the lair of the mysterious creature.” Lianna exclaimed, ”Also, many unknown secrets and clues are hidden here.”

David nodded in agreement.

”Indeed.” He said gravely, ”We need to thoroughly search this chamber to find secrets or clues related to the shadow.”

So the four split up to search the chamber thoroughly.

They examined every item and artifact on the altar, trying to find clues or evidence related to the shadow.

After a thorough search, they finally made some important discoveries.

First, they found an ancient scroll on the altar.
