Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 576: Chapter 243: Clam Race Beauty (Part 2)

As time passed, David and the Whale Race drew closer to the Great Vortex.

The flow of seawater began to become unusual, signaling that they were about to reach the legendary dangerous place.

The power of the Great Vortex is known to all; it can swallow everything that approaches, even experienced sailors keep a respectful distance from it.

David and the Whales cautiously approached the Great Vortex; the flow of seawater became increasingly violent, and they could feel the powerful force beneath pulling at them.

At this moment, a group of sharks suddenly appeared in their sight, these sharks were large in size, clearly elites of the Shark Race.

The Whale leader saw this and his face instantly turned grave.

After all, they had just fought with the Shark Race, but these sharks were clearly the regular army.

The leader of the Shark Race was a gigantic white shark with deep-set eyes.

The two sides quietly watched each other for a while, until the Whales entered the Great Vortex, ending the confrontation.

It swam close to the Whale leader and said in a low voice: ”We are the patrol army of the Shark Race, heard you are forcing through our Shark Race defense line.”

Instantly, the atmosphere became tense.

The seawater seemed to tremble in anticipation of the imminent conflict.

The Whale leader slowly swam toward the white shark, though filled with doubts, he knew he must remain calm at this moment.

”We do not wish to be enemies with the Shark Race.” The Whale leader’s voice was deep and powerful, ”We just want to find a safe passage to the Great Vortex.”

The white shark sneered coldly: ”Safe passage? In your eyes, is this place your backyard?”

”We’ve also heard of your Whale Race’s growing influence, in the near future, you might become a threat to us.”

David’s heart shook, he understood the long-standing potential conflict between the two races, this meeting was undoubtedly full of gunpowder.

The flow of seawater became more rapid, seemingly foretelling the impending eruption of conflict.

The white shark turned around, exchanging glances with the Shark army behind, at that moment, the atmosphere in the sea became heavier.

Suddenly, a shark bit towards a Whale warrior, the scene fell into chaos instantly!

”Stop!”

The Whale leader shouted urgently, rushing to intervene between the two.

But it was already too late, a Whale was turned over by the immense force in the water.

Seeing this, a melee quickly broke out.

Both sides began attacking each other, foam and blood intertwined into chaos.

The members of each faction were infected by intense emotions, whether to protect companions or out of mutual hostility, they fought with all their might.

David looked on with a very solemn expression.

He noticed these Sharks possessed the power of Second-Ring Mages.

The leading Shark chief even had the power of a Third-Ring Mage, the Whale leader could only barely resist.

He was almost certain now that the previous Shark pirates and these Sharks were in cahoots, all aiming for the Sea Race Elder.

It seems this Clam Elder must be hiding some secret.

Moreover, the Sea Race is not as united internally.

Perhaps during the Wizard Wars, the Sea Race could unite against outsiders.

But as soon as the war ends, chaos within the Sea Race would erupt again.

Currently, the Sea Race is not fully united, and with the variety of species in the Sea Race, conflicts like that between the Whale Race and Shark Race are not uncommon.

Apart from this, there are also struggles for interests.

The Deep Sea Region hides numerous secrets, the conflicts here will be even more chaotic.

David couldn’t help but glance at the Sea Race Elder.

At this point, they had been forced into the Great Vortex, they could only continue forward, trying to find that safe road.

This was also what David wanted to see, otherwise, he could completely eliminate those Shark Sea Races.

After a tense confrontation, David and the Whale Race finally rid themselves of the Shark Race threat, swimming deeper into the Great Vortex.

As they approached the vortex center, the surrounding seawater began to churn and roar uneasily, as if an invisible giant beast was waiting for their arrival.

The Great Vortex was a formidable sight.

Massive water streams spun downward, the center dark and profound.

Like an Abyss, every fluctuation seemed to swallow up all creatures that approached.

The violent currents continually swept up ocean fragments, countless bubbles, and debris dragged in, glinting with eerie light under the faint sunlight.

David was tense all over, he could feel the powerful pull dragging him and the Whale members.

”Everyone, focus! We’re swimming to the side!” a Whale race member shouted, hoping to keep everyone stable.

The seawater grew more violent, every time they moved their fins required greater effort to advance.

David found everything around was twisting and distorting; this force reminded him of ancient Sea Gods from legends who were swallowed by this power.

Just as they struggled to swim, suddenly a gale-like wave surged from behind, sweeping over them like a raging tornado!

Everyone felt that intense pressure, appearing so small before this daunting force.

David now activated the Sea Dragon Race bloodline, but the waves behind him drew ever closer.

Facing this danger, he pondered whether to activate the Spatial Mark to leave immediately.

But just then, a faint energy wave suddenly emitted from the Clam Elder’s body.

As the Clam Elder’s energy wave spread, the surrounding seawater gradually calmed, seemingly subdued by some mysterious force.

The waves ceased roaring, foam in the water slowly settled down, though the tremor remained, it allowed them to breathe.

”Thank you, Elder.”

The Whale leader said to the Elder.

David also breathed a sigh of relief, observing the changes in the surrounding seawater through the faint light.

Now, they had completely entered the core area of the Great Vortex, the darkness like a bottomless abyss, instilling fear.

Although the external environment slightly stabilized, he knew this force still lurked with unpredictable danger.

The Clam Elder spoke again: ”I will try to maintain this energy wave, but time is limited, we must find that secret passage.”

”Where exactly is that passage?” the Whale leader asked.

”I remember there’s a spot of light along the vortex edge, that might be where the passage is located,” the Elder replied.

Simultaneously, casting a gaze toward the endlessly spinning, gradually disappearing into the darkness vortex edge, ”But be cautious, the currents here are likely to reverse at any moment, we need to act quickly.”

Upon receiving guidance, David and the Whales gathered their strength again.

They began swimming toward the vortex edge, every fin stroke required extra effort since they were enduring the immense pull from below.

In this fleeting environment, everyone exerted themselves to resist the effects of the strong currents.

As they drew closer to that indistinct flickering spot, they were enveloped by the swirling waves, making their vision blurred and unreal.

David took a deep breath, stimulating his Extraordinary Perception, sensing around to find the best route.

At this moment, he was activating the Sea Dragon Race bloodline, but all the bloodlines had merged into the Chaos Dragon Wolf Bloodline, he could also stimulate the Nine-tailed Fox Bloodline’s Tail of Perception power.

He sensed a hidden yet formidable force emanating from that light spot.

It was a thread of energy formed by intertwined life and hope, he knew this was the only way to escape here.

Finally, they reached the small entrance glowing with a weak light.

This was a narrow yet mysterious path, seemingly the lingering trace left by a great existence struggling in the past.

Near the entrance, flowed a strange blue liquid, under sunlight casting a magical color, but David knew, here was not only beautiful, but hidden with unknown and danger.
