Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 271: Chapter 138: Capturing the Vampire (Part 2)

”Surrender and I will spare your life.” David spoke calmly.

He was now very interested in vampires, wanting to study their body structure, and also wanted to figure out why vampires appeared in the Eastern Territory.

The vampire trembled all over.

David had already stepped forward, activating the Spirit Contract Talent.

As waves of spiritual power surged, the vampire’s soul was continuously being pulled.

”You’re a wizard!”

The vampire was startled, finding it somewhat unbelievable.

David paid no mind to the vampire’s shock, continuing to activate the Spirit Contract Talent, extracting a trace of the vampire’s soul to construct a Spiritual Mark.

Once he learned this was a wizard, the vampire bitterly gave up on resisting, for he clearly knew how powerful a wizard could be.

He didn’t expect that after just waking from his slumber, he’d encounter a wizard whose power completely crushed his own!

With the condensation of the Spiritual Mark, David completely controlled the vampire.

”Speak, tell me everything about your situation.”

Upon hearing his master’s words, the vampire dared not hide anything.

Originally, he slept beneath East Forest City, only to be awakened by the power of blood, which led to his rampage in the city to consume blood and restore himself.

”But I wasn’t active for long before the master discovered me.” Vampire Dick’s face was filled with bitterness; his luck indeed seemed terrible.

Having just awakened, Dick knew nothing about the whereabouts of his companions, though during the time before their slumber, the Northern Silver Moon Kingdom was indeed vampire territory, and his companions should all be sleeping beneath various places in the Northern Lands.

”With the Demon Tide approaching, even vampires have started waking up.” David’s expression became extremely heavy, especially since they showed up right in the Eastern Territory!

However, vampires themselves could harness the power of the Silver Moon, and there are indeed records of vampires in the travelogues of the Silver Moon Kingdom.

It’s just unclear whether the current Silver Moon Kingdom and the Silver Dragon Clan have any connections with the vampires.

”Master, that’s all I know.” Dick said helplessly.

He had just woken up and knew very little about his kind.

David nodded, then pointed at the blood left after the battle, instructing the vampire to absorb it.

”Thank you, master.” The vampire was overjoyed.

As the blood continuously surged into his body, the injuries David had inflicted on him started to heal rapidly, and in no time, he was completely restored!

This speed of recovery piqued David’s interest as well, prompting him to plan further research on this vampire to explore more of their power.

...

Time passed little by little.

David stabilized North Forest City and continued his advance into the Eastern Territory.

The Barbarian Race, upon receiving orders, began moving south.

For this battle in the Eastern Territory, the Barbarian Race had been waiting for a long time!

However, David did not allow the Barbarian Race to attack the cities on their own. Instead, he commanded them to join him and then directed their actions in battle.

Soon, David and the Barbarian Race united.

Subsequently, the Frost Wolf Knight Order and the Barbarian Army charged towards the next city.

With the Demon Fury Dragon razing walls and the combined power of the Frost Wolf Knight Order and the Barbarian Race, everything crumbled effortlessly—the lords of the Eastern Territory had no power to resist!

Additionally, with Lune, the duke’s daughter, it was easy to gain the recognition of the common people, allowing him to swiftly take over city after city.

Though the Eastern Territory had been managed by the Duke of the Eastern Border for a long time.

Even though the Duke of the Eastern Border was dead and Bronco had already cleaned up the duke’s forces.

It wasn’t something that could be changed in the minds of ordinary people in a short time.

Later, David continued to use the Oath of Loyalty to win over the lords and officials, and the Contractual Energy contained within the Heart of Contract kept increasing.

This vampire Dick stayed by David’s side all the time, each time after a battlefield, he had the opportunity to sweep the field, rapidly restoring his strength.

According to Dick, he was a Marquis of the Blood Race, and in his prime, his combat power could reach the peak of Tier Five, just a step away from Tier Six, strong enough to engage in a battle with a Tier Six Knight at full power!

This was already a decent combat power, and David did not hesitate to cultivate him, allowing him to regain his strength quickly.

Unfortunately, in the subsequent conquests of other cities, no vampires were found, but from the records within the cities, there were indeed traces of vampires.

Clearly, these vampires had left earlier.

”They likely responded to the summons of the Duke of Vampires.” Dick’s face became very grave, his gaze turned towards the east.

He remembered that a Duke of Vampires was sleeping there.

”Lion City?” David frowned.

He hadn’t expected that in his conquest of the Eastern Territory this time, besides the Kingdom Army, his greatest opponents would be the vampires who were starting to awaken in the Eastern Territory.

The Duke of Vampires had a true Tier Six power!

If there were many Marquis and Count Vampires added to the mix, any force would have to reckon with this power and must contest it with full strength.

David started intentionally slowing down his offensive pace.

He planned to capture the surrounding cities first, and finally attack Lion City.

And in some cities that followed, they finally found traces of vampires, which David defeated and then used Spirit Contract to control!

...

David wasn’t the only one who noticed the vampires.

The Duke of Vampires also noticed the Duke Frost Wolf.

The turmoil in the Silver Moon Kingdom provided the Duke of Vampires a chance to strengthen himself.

As long as the Eastern Territory’s civilians were continually used as blood sustenance, the vampires could grow stronger.

But the Duke Frost Wolf’s intentions to conquer the Eastern Territory could not be allowed, especially since many vampires had disappeared in the cities occupied by the Duke Frost Wolf.

This was something the Duke of Vampires could not permit!

On the night of the full moon, the Duke of Vampires, along with a few high-tier blood races, quietly left Lion City.

In the sky, several blood bats flew silently.

As night fully descended.

The vampires had already arrived at Rock Turtle City.

The blood bats circled in the air, quietly infiltrating the city.

And as these vampires approached.

David suddenly felt a tightening in his heart, an extraordinary perception suddenly detected a sense of crisis.

This feeling was rare, but whenever it appeared, it signaled a crisis, and the crisis was near him.

”Is there some danger about to descend?”

David first thought of the Silver Moon Kingdom. If the Silver Moon Kingdom leveraged all its resources, they could indeed pose a threat to his life.

But the current Silver Moon Kingdom shouldn’t be able to mobilize quickly.

In that case, it must be the vampires.

The Duke of Vampires’ power had reached Tier Six, and the strength of vampires was far beyond that of knights!

If the Duke of Vampires arrived, it would indeed pose a threat to him.

”Are they actually coming?”

David squinted his eyes. In that case, he needed some preparations.

...

Behind the castle.

David was waiting with Barbarian leaders.

He intended to use these Barbarian leaders to counter the vampires.

Suddenly, he felt a sudden movement in his heart, his gaze turned towards the dark night.

Through extraordinary perception, he could sense the flight of ten or so blood bats across the sky.

”They’re here.” David murmured.

He knew this meant the Duke of Vampires was bringing the blood race.

The blood bats soon arrived at the castle’s rear.

Then the blood bats suddenly transformed into vampires clad in black robes, pale-faced.

The Duke of Vampires coldly scrutinized David.

He was surprised that this Duke Frost Wolf could detect his arrival in advance.

But it was of no consequence, for he had absolute confidence in his strength.

The Duke of Vampires stepped forward, his eyes filled with mockery, ”Do you think you can oppose me?”

David was not afraid at all; watching as the blood races descended, he suddenly activated the Heart of Sacrifice within him.

The Blood Sacrifice Array abruptly unfolded!

Within the Blood Sacrifice Array, blood flowed continuously, initiating the Blood Sacrifice Ritual, as streams of blood energy shot skyward!
