Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 269: Chapter 137: Overwhelming Force!

The Duke of the Western Border snorted coldly, saying, ”The eldest prince’s rebellion is already a fact, and this conclusion has been reached by all the nobles of the Silver Moon Kingdom.”

”And you are naturally no longer a princess of the Silver Moon Kingdom. Now, all knights follow my orders, attack Beiyuan City, and exterminate all the rebels!”

He didn’t want to drag it out any longer. With his Tier Six power and the Western Border Alliance Army, he was confident that without the Frost Wolf Duke’s Northern Lands, he could easily conquer it.

But just as his voice fell and the momentum of the Western Border Alliance Army was high, a figure suddenly appeared on the wall.

This figure was wearing Silver Dragon Armor. Though there was no expression on the face and not a word spoken, a terrifying aura suddenly emanated!

”Silver Dragon Armor!”

Upon seeing this figure, both the Duke of the Western Border and the nobles and generals of Beiyuan City were stunned, then widened their eyes in disbelief!

The Silver Dragon Armor has always been in the hands of the Silver Dragon Guardians. Could it be that this person in front of them is actually a Silver Dragon Guardian?!

And now, this Silver Dragon Guardian is standing in front of the Silver Dragon Princess, does this mean that the words of the Silver Dragon Princess have the support of the Silver Dragon Guardian?

So, Bronco really killed the old king and then his own brother, to have the chance to become the new king of the Silver Moon Kingdom?

This news is somewhat unbelievable, but the appearance of the Silver Dragon Guardian seems to say that everything is indeed true!

At this moment, with the appearance of the Silver Dragon Guard, it surprisingly put the Silver Dragon Princess on a moral high ground, as if she were truly the ruler of the Silver Moon Kingdom!

”It’s really you!”

The Duke of the Western Border also widened his eyes abruptly at this moment.

If the appearance of the Silver Dragon Princess was a surprise to him, the appearance of the Silver Dragon Guardian truly caused a storm in his heart.

He recognized the Silver Dragon Guardian as the protector who had always been by Bronco’s side, and both the armor and the powerful Tier Six aura were real.

But why?

Why would the Silver Dragon Guard choose to betray Bronco?

Could it be that he really knows Bronco killed the old king?

At this moment, countless thoughts appeared in his mind, eventually turning into terrifying intent; he must kill the Silver Dragon Guardian at all costs!

Otherwise, if those neutral nobles learned that the Silver Dragon Princess was acknowledged by the Silver Dragon Guard, the situation would become extremely unfavorable!

In the next moment, he activated the Gale Divine Eagle Bloodline within him, and blue cyclones appeared all over his body, fully unleashing his Combat Energy!

The Silver Dragon Guard felt the powerful Fighting Qi released by the Duke of the Western Border, yet there was no trace of fear on his face.

He slowly drew the longsword from his waist, and the blade shimmered with a silver glow in the sunlight, like a cold gleaming blade.

”Duke, you are wrong.”

The Silver Dragon Guard said coldly.

”I did not betray Bronco, I chose justice. Bronco murdered the king for the throne, his crimes are unforgivable, he does not deserve to be our king.”

These words were taught to the Silver Dragon Guard by David in advance. Speaking them now, along with the powerful energy waves emanating from him, made the effect quite imposing!

Yi Lin let out a sigh of relief upon seeing this.

She took a deep breath and ordered loudly, ”Everyone, prepare! We will never surrender! Drive the Western Border Alliance Army out, we must defend the Northern Lands!”

The soldiers on the Beiyuan City Wall responded in unison, gripping their weapons tightly, their eyes full of determination.

At this moment, they were no longer just passively defending, but filled with fighting spirit.

The Duke of the Western Border was completely overcome with anger and killing intent. He charged toward the Silver Dragon Guardian like a swift blue lightning bolt.

However, the Silver Dragon Guard quickly met his attack, countering him with powerful force, and the two exchanged several blows in an instant, each strike resonating through the surrounding air.

”You asked for this!”

The Duke of the Western Border roared, his Gale Divine Eagle Bloodline boiling even more fervently, unleashing a sharp Wind Blade at the Silver Dragon Guardian.

Yet just as the Wind Blade struck the Silver Dragon Armor, it was blocked completely and couldn’t breach the armor’s defense!

The Silver Dragon Guard used the Silver Dragon Armor to fend off the attack, and then with lightning speed counterattacked, thrusting the blade toward the vital spot of the Duke of the Western Border.

The battle between the two attracted everyone’s attention, and for a moment, both the soldiers on the Beiyuan City Wall and the alliance forces outside the city were awestruck.

With the help of the Silver Dragon Armor, the Silver Dragon Guard actually held a slight upper hand, but the Duke of the Western Border, possessing the Gale Divine Eagle Bloodline, was very fast, causing the Silver Dragon Guard’s attacks to continuously miss!

The Duke of the Western Border’s expression was gloomy; he realized that Bronco had indeed held something back, as the Silver Dragon Guardian’s strength was even greater than he imagined!

But such a powerful Silver Dragon Guard had chosen to betray Bronco, which was an absolutely devastating blow to Bronco!

With reluctance on his face, he still managed to find a way to disengage from the Silver Dragon Guard’s attack, threw a glance at the Silver Dragon Princess on the wall, and unwillingly retreated.

With the retreat of the Duke of the Western Border, the call to retreat sounded as well, the Western Border Alliance Army began to pull back. They were initially the vanguard, intending to use the Duke of the Western Border as the spearhead for quick penetration into the Northern Lands.

But the appearance of the Silver Dragon Guard shattered the Duke of the Western Border’s plan completely, and for now, they could only retreat back to the Western Territory, waiting for follow-up reinforcements.

The knights on the city wall were immediately invigorated upon seeing this, quickly springing into action, bringing bows and arrows, rolling stones, boiling oil, and other defensive materials onto the city wall, and reinforcing various fortifications. They knew the battle was far from over.

Yi Lin calmly commanded the troops, knowing that this war concerned not just the Northern Lands, but the future of the entire Silver Moon Kingdom.

...

The battle in the Northern Lands had reached a stalemate.

At the same time, news from here spread across the Silver Moon Kingdom.

Especially under David’s instruction, the Messenger Magic Pet recorded the battle at the front line, then handed it over to the ruffians in the city to spread the news like sewer rats.

Soon, the commoners of the Silver Moon Kingdom heard about the situation in the Northern Lands.

At the same time, they also heard about the appearance of the Silver Dragon Princess and learned of the things she said about Bronco murdering the king for the throne.

Initially, they were a bit skeptical.

But after hearing that the Silver Dragon Princess appeared and was acknowledged by the Silver Dragon Guardian, they suddenly became bewildered.

By the time the city lords learned of it and wanted to prevent it, the news had already spread, and almost the entire city was aware!

This was the divulging of a propaganda war; David had been setting this up for a long time, utilizing the information-spreading abilities of the Messenger Magic Pet to rapidly disseminate the news.

Since everything he said was true, it was very difficult for the lords to refute, and many of the originally neutral nobles fell into deep thought.

...

In the Royal Palace of the Silver Moon Kingdom.

Bronco naturally also received news from the front line.

When he learned that the Silver Dragon Guard had sided with the Silver Dragon Princess, he was completely stunned, his eyes filled with disbelief.

He had somewhat suspected that the Silver Dragon Guardian might have met an ill fate, but he never expected the Silver Dragon Guard was alive and had pledged allegiance to a new master!

To him, this was an utterly unacceptable situation. After coming to his senses, he flew into a rage, smashing everything in the room to pieces!

”Frost Wolf Duke, Silver Dragon Princess, I will not let you go, I absolutely will not let you go!” Bronco’s voice was hysterical!

...

In East Forest City, within the City Lord’s Mansion.

David relaxed slightly upon receiving the news.

In this way, half of his planned strategy was already completed.

Yi Lin had already held off the Duke of the Western Border and then spread the information as he wished, a propaganda war was quietly underway.

The power of propaganda war was something he understood deeply from his past life, capable of achieving victory without any military expenditure!

”Great.”

Lune also breathed a sigh of relief at this.

She had always stayed beside the Lord Duke, which was comparatively the safest.

By contrast, Her Highness, who was guarding the Northern Lands, was in much greater danger.

”Hmm.”

”The plan was a success, I’ll soon help you reclaim the Eastern Territory.”

Lune looked grateful, ”Thank you, Lord Duke.”

”Hmm?”

David squinted slightly.

Lune immediately understood his meaning, but she did not refuse.

...

Somewhere underground in the Eastern Territory.

In a room lit by a large long table.

Candles on the long table illuminated the room, giving it a somewhat eerie and terrifying appearance.

Several figures sat around the long table, with low voices continuously echoing in the room, and everyone wore a contemplative expression, their faces serious.
