Brother Dao Took the Entertainment Industry by Storm, Fans Beg Me Not to Kill Anymore

Chapter 946: The cold art contrasts sharply with the grim reality

However, the staff didnʼt have time to figure out what was going on with this group of Chinese people.

Because they soon received the latest news about the chaos at the front, and heard that terrorists were also blocking the emergency exit at the other end of the airport, some of the people who escaped were also injured.

So chaos erupted again at the scene. They needed to continue moving the people who had escaped to the other side to ensure the safety of the people who were still there.

So everyone was hastily transferred to another location by the staff.

Finally, they were safe.

Xiao He turned his head and, taking advantage of his relatively good height, quickly scanned the fleeing crowd to confirm the number of people and their appearances.

The good news is that people sitting in the vicinity of them managed to escape safely by following their lead; these included not only Chinese people but also tourists from other countries.

The bad news is that gunshots can still be heard from the airport terminal in the distance.

The sound was almost like firecrackers going off in China, and it was very frequent. Moreover, once people thought that each gunshot might represent the loss of a life, the mood of everyone anxiously waiting for the results outside became ✧ NоvеIight ✧ (Original source) particularly heavy.

Xiao He watched as the police and special counter-terrorism team members who had rushed to the scene after receiving the report arrived. He hurriedly got out of the car and rushed into the airport terminal, letting out a helpless sigh.

I donʼt know how much time passed, but the sound of ambulances continued to ring out outside, while the gunshots inside the airport gradually stopped.

As expected, Xiao He and his group will likely miss their flight back home today.

However, no one complained about the current situation. The group that had escaped together huddled together, feeling lingering fear and grateful that they had evacuated quickly enough. They thanked Xiao He and the others for their quick thinking in guiding them and awaited the official decision.

”Is anyone injured?”

Liu Rulan continued to weave through the crowd, inquiring about everyoneʼs situation as she went.

Fortunately, no one in the escaping group was injured.

Of course, if I had to point out something, one person had a minor abrasion on their arm.

”Itʼs nothing, itʼs just a scratch, I wonʼt go to the hospital.”

Zong Jiwei waved his hand helplessly when Liu Rulan asked him a question.

The two young girls beside him seemed even more anxious than he was: ”Are you sure thereʼs no problem? Will you get infected? You should go to the hospital to get checked out.”

”Really, you donʼt need to.”

Zong Jiwei chuckled, ”Itʼs just a scratch on the wall, how serious could it be? Besides, given the current situation here, itʼs hard to say. Weʼre just transiting through here; we havenʼt even completed the entry procedures yet. If we leave here, things will get really complicated...”

While explaining the situation, Zong Jiwei also reassured the two: ”You really donʼt need to worry. At worst, Iʼll just find a band-aid and fix it. Going to the hospital will only complicate things.”

Hearing Zong Jiwei say that, the two girls were too embarrassed to say anything more, and just kept thanking him: ”Thank you, Uncle! If you hadnʼt pulled me up, Iʼm afraid I would have really fallen.”

”Haha, itʼs nothing, itʼs nothing.”

Zong Jiwei smiled, with a hint of pride: ”Iʼm not saying this to be mean, but this time it was just that the place was too small and crowded, which limited my performance. A few years ago, I could have brought one of you out with me.”

Heʼs not just a little chubby, heʼs all muscle!

Immediately, everyone around burst into laughter.

The joy of surviving a gunfight spread through everyoneʼs hearts, making them breathe a sigh of relief.

-

After about an hour, the crisis was averted, and a large number of medical personnel entered the scene.

Most of these people looked hurried and serious, and the survivors around them did not dare to disturb their work, so they could only watch from a distance.

Soon, several body bags were transported out.

Xiao He could clearly hear some of the fans around him gasping in alarm.

This scene is still too terrifying for many native-born young Chinese people—even if itʼs just a body bag between them.

But inside the body bag was a living, breathing person.

Just over an hour ago, they were still alive and well, with normal body temperatures, capable of joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness.

But now, an unknown disaster has struck them unexpectedly and taken their lives.

They were also survivors of this disaster, but they were lucky and did not meet such an end—being wrapped in a black body bag and taken away from here without saying goodbye or making a sound. Their bodies were in a foreign land, and they didnʼt even know if they could go home.

Just thinking about that scene sends chills down your spine.

Those who were timid shrank back after a few glances, while people like Xiao He continued to watch in silence.

”I just inquired and found out that it was done by a terrorist group. It should be related to the nearby war zone. They chose to launch the riot here for some necessary political purposes.”

Liu Rulan crossed her arms and stood beside Xiao He as well.

”It sounds ironic, doesnʼt it? We just came off the stage of the anti-war performance of ʼThe Root of All Evil,ʼ but the very next day we were caught up in the war and had to flee with a group of other innocent people.”

How could that moment not be considered a brutal clash between cold, hard art and the real-world weaponry?

And there is no doubt that art may be of no use in such situations.

Just like the rulers in ”The Root of All Evil,” their arrogance and wickedness prevent them from even glancing at the hymns of peacemakers. Only they, the actors, after being encouraged by applause and flowers, are truly immersed in the complexities of the real world, and after barely escaping death, continue to tirelessly sing of peace and hope.

”Youʼre right.”

Xiao He was moved by the scene of carnage, but he also knew that such a topic was too big for them and had little practical significance. So he just joked, ”Itʼs a pity that the competition is over. The judges canʼt add more points to our score just because we escaped from the riot.”

Liu Rulan immediately snapped out of her tense mood and couldnʼt help but laugh, ”It is indeed a pity. If we had been able to win the sympathy of the judges, we might have already secured the gold medal.”

”Hey, look at what youʼre saying. Weʼve already locked in the gold medal—even without a story like this as a bonus. Of course, Iʼd rather we didnʼt have such a ʼbonusʼ and everyone could stay safe and sound.”

Xiao He coughed lightly, then gestured slightly with his chin in one direction: ”Also, Sister Liu, look over there—”
