Chapter 2409  Evacuating the City of Blood

”A freak? Thatʼs a little rude,” Yuan said with a calm smile on his face. ”Arenʼt you worried that I might kill you for that offense?”

The purple-skinned demon trembled slightly before responding with clenched fists, ”K-Kill me if you want! The Supreme Ruler will definitely avenge me!”

She spoke with such confidence in her voice that it wouldʼve likely convinced even Buddha himself.

”I wouldnʼt be so sure if I were you,” Supreme Ruler Dena suddenly joined in on the conversation. ”Even I was not able to kill him, after all.”

”What?”

The demon looked at her with a dumbfounded look on her face.

She wanted to ask for Yuanʼs identity, but before she could do so, Yuan spoke, ”Anyway, a purple-skinned demon, huh? Even I have never seen a demon with your color before. Where are you from?”

Although the majority of demons were red-skinned and grey-skinned, there were occasionally demons born with rare skin colors, such as yellow, green, and even blue. However, Yuan had never heard of a purple demon before.

”You can ask me all you want, but I wonʼt tell you anything,” she sneered.

”If you tell me, Iʼll tell you my name,” Yuan said with a faint smile.

”…”

The demonʼs body went rigid.

Though she had been left behind to watch them, she knew that wasnʼt her only purpose. The others hadnʼt said it aloud, but their expectations were clear. She needed to observe, probe, and extract whatever information she could from them.

”Fine, Iʼll tell you,” she quickly agreed. ”Iʼm from a small, remote land called the Violet Hollow.”

Yuan turned to look at Supreme Ruler Dena and asked, ”Ever heard of it?”

Supreme Ruler Dena fell silent for a moment, sifting through her memories before finally responding, ”I have. Itʼs a peculiar place where almost everything there is dyed in shades of purple, from the trees to even the waters surrounding it.”

”As for the island itself, thereʼs a massive hole at its center, hence the name.”

”I have answered your question, Now, tell me your name.”

”My current name is Yuan, but I used to go by a different name in this place,” he said with a smile.

”What were you called before?” she continued asking.

”Thatʼs not important, and I have already given you my name.” Yuan shrugged.

”Anyway, I will let the Grand Abyssal Elder know that weʼll be leaving now.”

He left the next moment while Supreme Ruler Dena stayed behind with the demon.

When Yuan returned to the valley, he was surprised to find thousands of demons gathered at the entrance, presumably the entire Abyssal Council, and they appeared to be ready to defend the place.

”Relax,” Yuan said to them. ”The Supreme Rulerʼs lackeys have already left.”

”But they will definitely come back!” Someone loudly shouted.

”No, they wonʼt.”

”How can you be so sure?!” ”Because they are only here for us, and weʼll be leaving now for the City of Blood to meet the Supreme Ruler there,” Yuan calmly revealed.

The Grand Abyssal Elder appeared at the scene the next moment and said, ”Even if that is true, it doesnʼt change the fact that we have sheltered you and lied to them. They will definitely return to punish us later. However, since they left and wonʼt be coming back soon, we can use this time to relocate.”

”Sorry for the trouble,” Yuan said.

The Grand Abyssal Elder shook his head and said, ”There is no need for you to apologize, as such is the fate for people like us. I have barely escaped death once, and I will not allow it to get near me for a second time.”

”It was an honor to meet you again, Demon Sealer surnamed ʼTianʼ.”

The Grand Abyssal Elder turned to face the others and loudly commanded, ”Weʼre leaving! Pack your shit and return here within half an hour!”

”Yes!”

The demons immediately scrambled.

Yuan didnʼt interrupt them and left without another word.

”Hey, weʼre leaving.” Yuan used voice transmission to speak to Lev, who was still back at their living quarters.

Lev hastily followed Yuan back to Supreme Ruler Dena and the purple-skinned demon.

”Whatʼs your name?” Yuan asked the demon when he returned.

”Iʼm not telling you until you tell me your other name,” she sneered.

”Then Iʼll just call you Purple,” Yuan shrugged.

”Letʼs go, Purple. Lead us to the City of Blood,” he then said, treating her like a guide dog.

Purple wanted to complain, but since that was her job, she decided to suck it up.

Shortly later, she started guiding them toward the City of Blood.

Meanwhile, in the City of Blood, the current Supreme Ruler received news of the situation.

”Supreme Ruler, we must evacuate the city immediately and prepare to fight her!” The current Supreme Adviser said with urgency in his face and voice.

”Fight her?” The Supreme Ruler scoffed. ”Sheʼs called the most powerful demon in history for a reason. Even I am not confident I could defeat her if we clashed directly without any preparations.”

”Prepare the Demon Godʼs Formation. Weʼll need to weaken her first before we confront her. I will also attempt to seek guidance from the Demon God, so I will be gone for some time.”

”Yes!” The Supreme Adviser nodded before hurrying away.

Before he started preparing for the Demon Godʼs Formation, the Supreme Adviser made sure to send out an evacuation order to the entire City of Blood.

Of course, he didnʼt reveal the real reason behind the evacuation, as he was certain people would panic if they knew Supreme Ruler Dena had escaped the Deprived Crimson Valley and was returning to the city soon.

Within days, the entire City of Blood became as empty as a ghost town, resembling a certain incident that shocked the entire world, and the people started to speculate the reason for the evacuation.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Ruler attempted to contact the Demon God at the Demon Godʼs Altar.
