Starting From A Son In Law To Build An Long Lasting Family

Chapter 12: The Second Lottery!

“It’s okay, I can see that you can already draw dust-avoiding talismans.”

“When you outline the lines of the talisman, you need to gently ‘tap’ and ‘release’ to express a sense of roundness. In the finishing touches, the turning strokes need to carry a bit of a ‘acceptance’ intention. In this way you can improve your success rate in drawing talismans.”

Lu Miaoge comforted, her voice soft as water, calming everyone’s hearts.

The young lady is a talisman master?

Lu Changsheng suddenly realised when he heard Lu Miaoge’s professional words.

No wonder Uncle Fu and this young lady came to judge him.

It turns out that this eldest lady is also a talisman master.

It makes sense, if she wasn’t a talisman master, why would she carry an exquisite talisman brush all the time?

He was just wondering how Lu Miaoge could be carrying an exquisite talisman brush.

Since this is a matter of skill, I’ll have to perform another act.
“Miss, may I ask what the intention of ‘acceptance’ means?”

Lu Changsheng showed a modest and curious expression.

“Don’t you know the brush techniques for drawing talismans like dotting, releasing, touching, withdrawing, flicking, sliding, and flashing?”

Lu Miaoge asked softly with a slight frown.

“I have only read an introductory book on talismans and a comprehensive book on basic talismans. I’ve studied and experimented on my own without learning the brush techniques you mentioned, Miss.”

Lu Changsheng said with an embarrassed look on his face.

Upon hearing this, Lu Miaoge pursed her red lips, unsure of what to say.

No one had taught him, and he hadn’t learned any brush techniques; he had simply studied two basic talisman books on his own and reached this level of talisman making.

This talent.

Even she had to admit her inferiority.

“I have a book called ‘Talisman Basics’. It contains information on talisman-making techniques, the use of spiritual powers, and some insights I’ve written down. Take it and read it carefully. If you have any questions, come and ask me.”

Lu Miaoge took a booklet out of her storage bag and handed it to Lu Changsheng.

“Thank you, Miss!”

Lu Changsheng naturally accepted the goodwill and excitedly expressed his gratitude.

Then he carefully asked, “Miss, should I draw another talisman?”

“No need, you have passed the test.”

With a gentle temperament, Lu Miaoge put the talisman brush and spiritual ink away in her storage bag. Then she looked at Uncle Fu.

“All right, Lu Changsheng, since you have this talent in talisman making, from this month on, your monthly resources will be increased to five spirit stones and thirty catties of spirit rice.” ꭆ𝔞₦𝙤𝖇Εs̈

Seeing this, Uncle Fu immediately declared.

Then he took out a set of talisman-making tools from his storage bag and said, “These talisman-making tools are also for you.”

“Work hard, as long as you become a qualified talisman master, our Lu family will definitely not treat you unfairly.”

With that, Uncle Fu patted Lu Changsheng’s shoulder warmly.

“Yes, thank you, Miss! Thank you, Uncle Fu!”

Lu Changsheng thanked them.

Soon after, Uncle Fu and Lu Miaoge left.

Lu Changsheng immediately accompanied them and saw them to the door.

As he watched Lu Miaoge leave, the graceful figure in white, Lu Changsheng shook his head slightly.

“If it’s not necessary, it’s better to have less contact with this young lady.”

As a man, it is impossible not to have thoughts about such an elegant young lady.

However.

There is a saying that a beautiful woman is a source of trouble.

Such a stunning woman will undoubtedly have many admirers, both within and outside the Lu family.

If he were to approach this young lady under the pretext of seeking advice on talismans, who knows if her admirers would come looking for trouble.

So just to be on the safe side, it’s better not to get involved.

If he really wants to get close to her, he should do it when he has some power.

It would be wonderful to discuss the way of talismans at that time.

Only when you can endure it to the extreme, can you become an immortal!

This is the motto that Lu Changsheng has set for himself.

At that moment, Lu Lanshu, Lu Zier, Lu Qinger and the other women saw Uncle Fu and Miss Lu Miaoge leaving. They rushed over and asked Lu Changsheng what had happened.

Uncle Fu is the caretaker of Qingzhu Mountain Villa, and his status is far from ordinary.

Besides, he came here with Miss Lu Miaoge, so it cannot be a trivial matter.

Lu Changsheng did not hide anything from his wives and explained the situation truthfully.

When the wives heard that their husbands had been recognised by the Lu family for his talisman making talents, they were suddenly overjoyed.

After all, Lu Changsheng’s status in the Lu family had risen, and as their wives, they also benefited from this elevated position.

At the same time, Uncle Fu, who had left Qingzhu Mansion, asked Lu Miaoge, “Miss, how is Lu Changsheng’s talisman making talent? How long will it take him to become a talisman master?”

Although he was a cultivator, his knowledge of talismans was limited.

“His talisman talent is very high, higher than mine.” Lu Miaoge replied quietly.

“What!”

Upon hearing this, Uncle Fu showed a surprised expression.

Their young lady, now twenty-four years old, was already a first-class mid-level talisman master.

Within twenty years, it is expected that she will reach the second level.

At this moment, it was said that Lu Changsheng’s talent for making talismans was higher than hers.

Doesn’t this mean that Lu Changsheng has the potential to become a second-tier talisman master in the future?

This is simply amazing.

If they knew that Lu Changsheng was already a second-level talisman master, and a top-level one at that, their reactions would be unimaginable.

The next day, the news of Lu Changsheng becoming a talisman apprentice spread throughout Qingzhu Mansion.

Many people from the Lu family and the immortal seedlings were shocked, and became envious and jealous of Lu Changsheng.

No one expected a mere son-in-law to have such an extraordinary talisman talent.

Previously, many young cultivators had heard about Lu Changsheng’s attempts at talisman making and secretly mocked him, thinking that he was dreaming.

But today, they came to congratulate and admire Lu Changsheng, and each of them gave him a spirit stone as a gift.

Li Feiyu also gave him a spirit stone, but Lu Changsheng returned it later.

Currently, he had five spirit stones and thirty kilograms of spirit rice per month, while Li Feiyu had only two spirit stones and ten kilograms of spirit rice. How dare he accept the money?

As for the spirit stones from other immortal seedlings, of course he didn’t return them.

With the ten spirit stones added to his account, he was quite satisfied.

He also examined the set of talisman-making tools that Uncle Fu had presented yesterday.

It included an ordinary talisman pen, which was of better quality than the wolf hair talisman pen, and could be used about three to five hundred times.

Then there were ten batches of talisman paper and two boxes of spirit ink, the same quality as the ones he had bought earlier.

If they were converted into spirit stones, it would be around sixty to seventy spirit stones.

With this reward and an increase in treatment to five spirit stones and thirty kilograms of spirit rice per month, it was more than enough.

When Lu Changsheng thought about Uncle Fu and the young lady coming over thanks to the help of the shopkeeper of the Bai Bao Pavilion, he drew some simple talismans as gifts and went to express his gratitude.

He understood these social niceties.

Meanwhile, five days later, Lu Changsheng’s concubine, pregnant with twins, gave birth.

They were two boys.

Having known for a long time that they were twins, Lu Changsheng did not show too much surprise.

Moreover, after becoming a father of four, when Lu Changsheng saw his children about to be born, he no longer felt the nervous and excited emotions he had at the beginning.

He was much calmer than before.

However, when the twins were born, Lu Changsheng was pleasantly surprised to hear the system’s prompt sound.

【Ding! Congratulations to the host for giving birth to first time twins, and you have won a lottery chance!】

“First time twin birth.”

“It seems that the achievements of this system are similar to those of some previous games.”

“As long as certain things happen for the first time or reach a certain number, the system can distribute rewards.”

Hearing the system’s prompt, Lu Changsheng felt joy in his heart and thought for a moment.

After looking at his twin children, Lu Changsheng went to his study and silently said,

“System, I want to draw a lottery.”

Immediately.

A virtual lottery wheel appeared in a light red colour, identical to the previous one.

It was divided into seven sections: Martial Arts, Skills, Pets, Elixirs, Magic Tools, Treasures and Other.

“I wonder what I can draw this time.”

Lu Changsheng took a deep breath, feeling very excited.

After all, the second-level inscription technique he received earlier was a pleasant surprise.

“Start the lottery.”

As he spoke, a golden light began to spin on the bright red wheel.

Under Lu Changsheng’s expectant gaze, the golden light slowed down and finally stopped at technique.
