Chapter 499: Amazing blade battery!
Chapter 499 The stunning blade battery!

Of course, sodium-ion batteries also need to be classified into grades. The sodium-ion batteries used in BYAD electric vehicles are all from Hantang Technology.

It will not use the sodium-ion battery of Daxia Petrochemical Company. After all, the sodium-ion battery of Hantang Technology has a longer life, higher energy density and other comprehensive performance.

Because of our relationship with Hantang Technology, our procurement cost is also lower. ”

The beautiful reporter who heard the words nodded slightly, but soon she asked the next crucial question:

”Mr. Wang Dafu, the batteries used to manufacture electric vehicles are nothing more than all-solid lithium batteries and ternary polymer lithium batteries.

Among them, none of their two batteries has an energy density lower than 200wh/kg.

Although the sodium-ion battery of Hantang Technology is cheap, the energy density of the sodium-ion battery is only 155wh/kg.

May I ask if the energy density is too low? Is it too low to use sodium-ion batteries to make electric vehicles? ”

Hearing this beautiful reporter’s question, Wang Dafu’s eyes froze, and he thought to himself, ”Finally here.”

Before accepting this interview, Wang Dafu knew that this beautiful reporter would definitely ask this question.

Wang Dafu didn’t feel panic and worried about this, or even dared to face it, because he was already prepared, so Wang Dafu smiled and said:

”Don’t worry about the low energy density of sodium-ion batteries, because our electric vehicles using sodium-ion batteries can last for three to four hundred kilometers or even six to seven hundred kilometers!”

”Ok?”

The beautiful reporter looked curiously at Wang Dafu, the president of BYD, with a puzzled look on her face.

The energy density of the ternary polymer lithium battery is as high as 225wh/kg, which is equivalent to half of that of the ternary polymer physical battery of Hantang Technology.

At this time, the energy density of the sodium-ion battery of Hantang Technology is only 155wh/kg. In this case, Wang Dafu, the president of BYD, said that it can reach three to four hundred kilometers.

After all, theoretically speaking, a squeeze can indeed achieve this, but at this time Wang Dafu said that BYD’s electric vehicles can reach six to seven hundred kilometers, which is surprising and puzzling.

Regarding this, Wang Dafu smiled and said:

”The reason for this is actually very simple, because a week ago, Mr. Lin Xuan had pointed out how to make the sodium-ion battery pack more power and finally run farther!”

”Mr. Lin Xuan? Can Mr. Wang tell you something?”

The beautiful reporter’s eyes lit up, and she didn’t expect Lin Xuan to take action on this matter.

”It’s not a secret. Anyway, Hantang Technology has already registered the relevant patents for a long time, but it has not yet launched the relevant products to the market. If this is the case, let’s talk about it.”

The eyes of the beautiful reporter who heard the words became brighter and brighter, and the reporter who was in charge of recording with a video camera hurriedly pointed the camera firmly at Wang Dafu.

Wang Dafu smiled and revealed the answer to this.

”The solution given by Mr. Lin Xuan is to use the blade battery solution!”

”Blade battery?”

Hearing the name Blade Battery, the beautiful reporter was stunned, not knowing what it was.

But just listening to the name of this blade battery, this blade battery seems a little unusual.

So at this time, the curiosity in the eyes of the beautiful reporter not only did not dissipate, but became bigger and bigger. At this time, the beautiful reporter was very curious about the blade battery.

I don’t know what kind of battery the blade battery is. Is this a brand new battery? Can it compete with all solid-state lithium batteries and ternary polymer batteries?

When the beauty reporter was full of curiosity, Mr. Wang of BYD did not disappoint the expectation of the beauty reporter, and slowly explained what a blade battery is.

”Blade batteries are essentially sodium-ion batteries.”

Wang Dafu’s first sentence made the beautiful reporter slightly taken aback, with a trace of disappointment in his eyes.

The beautiful reporter thought that the blade battery was a brand new battery, one that could compete with ternary polymer lithium batteries and all-solid lithium batteries.

But I didn’t expect that the so-called blade battery is actually a sodium-ion battery. How could the beautiful reporter not feel disappointed when he learned the result?

But before the beautiful reporter was disappointed, Wang Dafu did not stop his words at this time, and Wang Dafu continued to speak:

“The blade battery has no essential improvement in energy density, but it has undergone earth-shaking changes compared to ordinary batteries.

This beautiful reporter, have you ever seen a sodium-ion battery with a single cell? ”

Hearing Wang Dafu’s words, the beautiful reporter was slightly taken aback, and then answered what she knew:

”Naturally, I have seen the sodium-ion battery of a single cell. It is said that the sodium-ion battery of a single cell has several specifications, which are the specifications of the 3rd battery, the 5th battery, and the 7th battery.

In addition, it is said that there are 18650 specifications and 21700 specifications. The Han and Tang two-wheeled electric vehicles are said to use multiple 21700 batteries to form a whole battery pack, and this battery pack is called a battery module. ”

Wang Dafu who heard the words nodded lightly, then smiled and praised:

”Your knowledge reserve is good, but some are not detailed enough. There are actually other specifications at present, but the output of those specifications is not big, so let’s not talk about it.”

The beautiful reporter who was praised immediately had a happy smile on her face. Seeing this, Wang Dafu continued to smile and said:

“Now whether it is a Hantang two-wheeled electric vehicle or other electric motorcycles, their batteries are essentially battery modules composed of multiple 21700 or 18650 batteries.

And their structures are almost all cylindrical, in which you can imagine a cylindrical thing when they are juxtaposed together.

Do they take up a lot of space? Is it true that almost half of the volume is wasted, and if it is filled with batteries, will it be able to last longer? ”

Hearing Wang Dafu’s words, the beautiful reporter already understood what a blade battery is, so she asked excitedly:

”I may understand what a blade battery is. This so-called blade battery should be like stacking bricks, and the bricks are put together.

Minimize the waste of space, and finally pack more power with the same area! ”

Hearing this, Wang Dafu nodded with a smile, affirming what the beautiful reporter said with a smile:

”That’s right, but instead of bricks, we use blade batteries with a thickness of about 1.35cm, a width of about 9cm, and a length of about 96cm for stacking!”

”So that’s the case, this is really a genius-like idea. After such a structural transformation, although the essence of the energy density has not improved.

But in actual use, it is equivalent to nearly doubling the energy density of the battery. This is really a genius-like idea, a genius-like creativity. It can only be said that Lin Xuan is worthy of being Lin Xuan, and he came up with such a good idea.
