I am Just a Wild God, Why are You Kneeling Before the Heavenly Dao?

33: My life is important“Brother Wang, my Wanbao Merchant Guild suddenly has an urgent matter, so I’ll be taking my leave first!”

Nothing was more important than his own life.

He had to rush to Chang Sheng Village as soon as possible and kneel indefinitely in Lord Chuping’s temple to feel at ease.

After Jin Zihua finished speaking, he left Wang Tu, who was still in a daze, and scrambled into Elder Shi’s carriage.

Elder Shi, on the other hand, had his eyes closed, seemingly oblivious to the commotion outside.

This demeanor actually gave Jin Zihua some sense of security.

“Go! Full speed ahead!”

The coachman received the order, raised his whip high, and then brought it down fiercely, making the horse whinny in pain and gallop madly as if its life depended on it.

Jin Zihua’s scalp was tingling at the sight of the group behind him; only the Elder Shi he trusted could give him a little security.

It was too terrifying; who knew how many of these people were human and how many were ghosts!

The Wanbao Merchant Guild’s carriage suddenly accelerated, and soon Wang Tu could only see its rear… “Damn it! Brother Jin, something’s wrong with you!”

Looking at Jin Zihua’s hurried back, even Wang Tu, as foolish as he was, knew there was definitely something wrong with the convoy behind them.

Shopkeeper Jin must have discovered something.

“Everyone, I apologize, but my Wang Family also suddenly has an urgent matter, so we’ll be taking our leave first!”

After speaking, the Wang Family’s carriage also sped off.

There were many intelligent people present, and seeing the Wanbao Merchant Guild and the Wang Family suddenly accelerate, they also tacitly sped up together, not waiting for the villagers walking behind them at all.

“Everyone, my Li Family will also be taking our leave first!”

“Those behind, just follow the carriage tracks; we’re going ahead!”

*

The carriages at the front of the convoy suddenly accelerated, and amidst the dust, they suddenly vanished completely.

The villagers walking behind were stunned, then quickly reacted.

“Damn it! These nobles have a fire under their asses! Running so fast!”

“What do we do? We can’t keep up!”

“They… they left us behind!”

“Nonsense, they never said they would take us with them!”

“What’s going on? Wasn’t everything fine just now? Did these people discover something?”

“Keep up, keep up! Let’s follow the carriage tracks.”

The convoy instantly became chaotic.

The barely maintained order completely collapsed at this moment; everyone who wanted to live desperately ran forward.

Wang Damei carried her child, panting, following in the middle of the group, her legs feeling like they were filled with lead.

Wang Tieshan dragged a dilapidated flatbed cart, piled with some simple belongings, as well as the elderly and children in his Family who truly couldn’t walk.

“Tieshan, what… what do we do?” Wang Damei’s voice trembled slightly.

Wang Tieshan gritted his teeth and whispered, “Throw away everything you can, and hurry up!”

After speaking, Wang Tieshan hardened his heart, picked up the child from the cart, didn’t dare to look at his paralyzed old mother again, and turned to leave.

“Husband, this…”

Wang Damei felt a little reluctant, but she knew in her heart that Wang Tieshan was not wrong in doing so, otherwise, if things continued like this, their entire Family would not escape death.

Wang Tieshan also felt bad; he pulled Wang Damei up and whispered, “Run! Don’t look back!”

As dusk approached, Jin Zihua’s carriage was finally the first to arrive at Chang Sheng Village.

“Help!”

“Lord Chuping, help!”

“Temple Official, help!”

The villagers, who were about to go to sleep, were suddenly awakened by this shout.

“It’s Shopkeeper Jin, it’s Shopkeeper Jin’s voice!”

“Why is the Wanbao Merchant Guild still buying things at night? So dedicated!”

“Judging by the sound, something must have happened.”

“Go, old woman, you go to sleep first, I’ll go out and see.”

*

At this moment, Lin Chuping was floating above the temple, overlooking the entire Chang Sheng Village.

He had already sensed it when Jin Zihua cried for help.

This was a god; sincere prayer, calling the true name of the god, and the god would surely hear and respond.

As the guardian god of Chang Sheng Village, Lin Chuping had a keen perception of everything in the village.

He could feel Jin Zihua’s fear and despair, but he didn’t detect any aura of evil creatures.

“Am I being overly suspicious?”

Lin Chuping shook his head, deciding not to reveal himself for now and to continue observing the situation.

Just as he was about to retract his gaze, he suddenly noticed the convoy behind Jin Zihua.

It was a long convoy, with carriages bearing the flags of various Families, their formation messy, clearly having fled from Prefecture City.

Something happened in Prefecture City?!

Then what about that so-called Qingyun Immortal Sect!?

*

On the other side, several brave villagers had already put on their coats, carrying lanterns, and walked towards the village entrance.

From afar, they saw Jin Zihua’s carriage stopped at the village entrance. Jin Zihua was jumping down from the carriage, his face pale, covered in sweat, as if he had just experienced a life-and-death ordeal.

“Shopkeeper Jin, what happened?”

Liu Chunsheng stepped forward and asked with concern.

Jin Zihua panted heavily, his voice trembling.

“Temple Official, it’s a long story! Quick, quickly take us to offer incense to Lord Chuping first!”

“After we’ve offered incense, I’ll tell you in detail.”

The villagers heard this and immediately found it reasonable.

Jin Zihua was not someone who easily panicked; whatever could make him so terrified must be something extremely frightening.

However, no matter how powerful something was, in front of Lord Chuping’s divine thunder, even if you were a Dragon, you would have to coil up.

Everyone surrounded Jin Zihua and hurried towards the temple.

After Jin Zihua offered incense and somewhat recovered, he began to recount the events to the villagers.

“The Wolf Demon Blood Fiend and the Qingyun Immortal Sect had a great battle. It is said that the Wolf Demon has now occupied the Qingyun Immortal Sect, and we also saw that the situation was not right, so we escaped ahead of time.”

“There are many others who fled from Prefecture City in the convoy behind us. Many people died on the way, and I suspect there are bad things mixed in with the convoy.”

Upon hearing Jin Zihua’s words, everyone gasped.

However, out of blind worship for Lord Chuping, the villagers still calmly put their hearts back in their stomachs, more out of a gossipy mentality.

“Shopkeeper Jin, don’t panic yet. Chang Sheng Village has Lord Chuping’s protection; demons dare not approach easily. You all rest here for now and make plans later.”

“Yes, with Lord Chuping here, there’s nothing to fear.”

*

At this moment, Lin Chuping, who had been listening quietly, stared at an old woman at the end of the convoy, and his suspicion of Jin Zihua was somewhat confirmed.

“A merchant’s intuition is indeed sharp; this old woman doesn’t look right at all!”

Just by appearance, it wasn’t obvious.

But, which good Family’s Luck could be completely black!

Lin Chuping suppressed his excited heart and trembling hands, deciding to wait until the old woman entered the territory of Chang Sheng Village before giving her a full-body electrotherapy.

What a performance delivered right to his doorstep!

How could a worker not be excited?

*

At this time, as carriages continuously entered Chang Sheng Village, the villagers also welcomed everyone, setting up a special reception point.

However, there was a condition:

The first step upon entering the village was to bow to Lord Chuping.

Walking under Lord Chuping’s Dharma Eye, no demon or ghost could amount to anything.

Otherwise, no matter what you said, you wouldn’t be able to enter the village.
