I am Just a Wild God, Why are You Kneeling Before the Heavenly Dao?

12: Naked Ghost SoldierThe Naked Ghost’s twisted movements paused, and she stared fixedly at Wang Houshi, asking word by word:

”Lord Chuping, who is he?”

”Speak!”

This time, the Naked Ghost didn’t violently devour all the blood offerings; instead, she chased the crowd like a cat playing with a mouse.

She loved to watch her prey panic and flee before her, which gave her a thrill of being above everything, controlling life and death.

It was exhilarating!

It was just that this Lord Chuping, whom these people spoke of, what was he, that he could even protect them?

Suddenly, the Naked Ghost’s gaze pierced directly towards the distant temple, which was still under construction.

”Lord Chuping? Is he a Heavenly God?”

”No, that’s not right! How could there still be Heavenly Gods in this world?”

The Naked Ghost’s voice was as hoarse as if it had been abraded by sandpaper, making one shiver upon hearing it.

”Lord Chuping? Hahaha! You ignorant ants, you still believe in the existence of Heavenly Gods?”

”Hahahahahahaha!”

The Naked Ghost laughed and continued, ”There have long been no so-called Heavenly Gods in this world! They are all just powerful demons like me! Only powerful beings like us are qualified to be the true Dominators of this world!”

”As for you humans, you are only fit to become our blood offerings!”

”Even if there truly is a Heavenly God, he is merely an existence like me! Do you think he can save you? Dream on!”

”I protected you for over ten years, and now that a Lord Chuping has appeared, you have all betrayed me!”

Thinking of this, an uncontrollable rage surged within the Naked Ghost’s heart.

”Ants! You all deserve to die!”

”Who says there are no Heavenly Gods in the world?”

An ethereal voice echoed in the air. Seeing this, everyone knelt down, shouting ”Lord Chuping.”

Only the Naked Ghost narrowed her eyes, a look of disdain on her face.

”Playing at being a Heavenly God! If you have the guts, come out and let me see what you’re truly capable of!”

*

From the moment the Naked Ghost entered the governed territory, Lin Chuping emerged from the idol, watching her every move.

This was the first time Lin Chuping had encountered a demon with self-awareness.

How to describe it?

As expected of a demon, she was truly... an eyesore.

However, as a Divine Body, as long as he didn’t manifest Divine Abilities, neither the villagers nor the Naked Ghost could see him.

As Lin Chuping’s words fell, the world suddenly quieted. The wind stopped, the clouds dispersed, and even the Naked Ghost’s laughter ceased abruptly.

A divine Aura emanated from the direction of San Wazi’s house, as if even the air became heavy.

The villagers stopped in their tracks, involuntarily kneeling to the ground, their eyes filled with reverence.

”Lord Chuping! It’s Lord Chuping manifesting!”

Someone cried out, trembling, their voice filled with unconcealed excitement.

”Lord Chuping!”

”Lord Chuping!”

The shouts rose in waves.

The Naked Ghost’s face, however, was as ugly as if she had eaten excrement.

”Look what I see, a tiny Vine Demon?”

The ethereal voice came from all directions, as if heaven and earth were responding.

Immediately after, a figure slowly emerged from the Void Realm.

It was a man dressed in a plain white robe, with a handsome face and eyes as deep as stars.

His steps were light, yet carried an unstoppable Aura, as if each step trod upon the Laws of heaven and earth.

The Naked Ghost’s pupils suddenly constricted, and the disdain on her face instantly froze.

She felt an unprecedented sense of oppression, as if an invisible mountain weighed on her heart, making her almost unable to breathe.

”You... who exactly are you?”

Lin Chuping smiled slightly, looking calmly at the Naked Ghost, ”I am Lord Chuping, the Heavenly God worshipped by the people of this land.”

”Impossible!”

The Naked Ghost’s voice suddenly rose, with a hint of hysteria.

”There have long been no Heavenly Gods in this world! You are merely a demon playing at being a Heavenly God!”

Lin Chuping did not respond to her questioning, but simply raised his hand lightly, a soft light emanating from his fingertips. The light was as warm as the morning sun, yet contained infinite power. Wherever the light passed, the black Qi around the Naked Ghost melted like ice and snow, and her body began to tremble uncontrollably.

”This... what kind of power is this?”

The Naked Ghost’s voice was filled with terror and disbelief.

She tried to struggle, but found her body bound by invisible chains, unable to move even a single finger.

”You think yourself powerful, yet you do not know that there is always someone stronger.”

Lin Chuping’s voice remained calm, yet carried an unquestionable majesty.

”You use the common people as blood offerings, acting wantonly. Today, I shall act on behalf of the Dao and end your sins.”

A trace of terror flashed in the Naked Ghost’s eyes. She looked up at the sky, only to see the originally clear night sky suddenly covered with dark clouds, thunder rolling, and lightning flashing within the clouds, as if heaven and earth were enraged.

”This... what is this?” The Naked Ghost’s voice trembled slightly. She had never felt such powerful energy, as if even heaven and earth were against her.

Lin Chuping stood before the temple, his gaze stern, holding a Cultivation Technique in his hand, and chanting softly: ”Wind rises, clouds surge, thunder moves the Nine Heavens! Thunder Punishment, descend!”

Before his words finished, a dazzling bolt of lightning tore through the sky, like a Heavenly God’s sharp sword, striking directly down. The Naked Ghost didn’t even have time to scream before she was hit by the lightning. Her body instantly disintegrated in the electric light, black Qi scattering, leaving not even a trace of ash, as if she had never existed.

A few breaths later, the world returned to calm, as if everything that had just happened had never occurred.

”It was Lord Chuping who protected us! It was Lord Chuping who protected us!”

Lin Chuping looked at the kneeling common people, his eyes both transcendent and compassionate.

He truly possessed the demeanor of an immortal.

After putting on a show, Lin Chuping flashed and disappeared from his original spot.

As Lin Chuping’s figure vanished, the System’s voice rang out at the opportune moment.

”Ding! Killed a Demon General Rank Vine Demon, rewarded with 10,000 Incense Points!”

”I’m rich! I’m rich!”

Indeed, a person cannot get rich without unexpected wealth. Naked Ghost, you truly are a good person, ah no, a good demon!

After lamenting for a moment, Lin Chuping opened his information panel:

”Host: Lin Chuping”

Since being silently mocked by the System Mall last time, Lin Chuping hadn’t opened the System Mall for the past few days.

Every time he opened the Mall, he could only drool, and this feeling was truly a pain in the ass. How to describe it?

How much sorrow can one have? It’s like a group of eunuchs visiting a brothel.

This time, with a whopping ten thousand earned, he could definitely buy another Divine Ability, right?

”Tong Ge, open the Mall!”

”Mall Rank: 1”

”Current Products:”

Lin Chuping glanced at the System Mall, and his recently fervent heart immediately turned ice cold.
