National Tower Defense Survival: Start Awakening Fusion System

30: Can heroes be combined? I fused the King and Queen into a War Lord!He first set his sights on the Hero Altar.

Although the Barbarian King had reached Level 5 and unlocked the Rage skill, he still struggled against higher-tier monsters. The Archer Queen, on the other hand, represented a completely new growth opportunity.

“Upgrade the Barbarian King to Level 6.”

heavy oil x500 consumed. Barbarian King’s level increased to 6!

“Upgrade the Barbarian King to Level 7.”

heavy oil x700 consumed. Barbarian King’s level increased to 7!

… …

He brought both heroes to a relatively good level in one go.

Hero: Barbarian King (Level 10)

Attack: 200

Health: 3000

Skill: Rage (Active) — The hero lets out an earth-shattering war cry, instantly restoring 30% of his maximum health and summoning 10 Barbarian warriors (50 Health, 10 Attack) to fight for you! At the same time, the hero enters a berserk state, increasing his attack and attack speed by 50% for 10 seconds! (Cooldown: 5 minutes)

Hero: Archer Queen (Level 10)

Attack: 400

Health: 1000

Skill: Cloak of Invisibility (Active) — The Archer Queen enters an invisible state for 5 seconds, during which she cannot be targeted by enemies and her attack power is increased by 100%! (Cooldown: 5 minutes)

Lin Feng’s eyes flickered. The Archer Queen’s skill was Cloak of Invisibility. This pushed her assassination capabilities to the extreme, allowing her to unleash astonishing damage in critical moments.

Only over 4000 heavy oil remained, but it had significantly boosted the combat power of both heroes, making it worth it.

He looked with satisfaction at the two distinct hero phantoms on the altar, radiating powerful auras. One represented an unstoppable frontal force, the other a deadly long-range sniper.

However, at that moment, an even crazier, even blasphemous thought, like a black lightning bolt tearing through the night sky, struck his mind without warning.

Since buildings can be merged, and troop types can be merged…

Then, what about heroes?

Could these two supreme units, representing the extension of the Lord’s will, also be combined under his Infinite Fusion System?

Once this idea emerged, it spread like a wildfire, impossible to suppress!

Lin Feng’s heart pounded uncontrollably, but his brain instantly entered a state of absolute calm calculation.

He immediately sent a tentative command to the system in his mind.

“Select the Barbarian King and the Archer Queen for synthesis.”

Ding! Hero units detected. Proceed with cross-category synthesis?

Warning: Hero units are the unique extension of the Lord’s will. Cross-category synthesis will cause the new hero’s base attributes (Health, Attack) to inherit 50% of the total! Please choose carefully!

It was indeed possible!

But that blood-red warning, like a basin of ice water, extinguished half of his fervor.

Attributes will only inherit 50% of the total!

This meant he would completely lose the Archer Queen’s pure ranged physical burst of 400 attack, and also the Barbarian King’s astonishing 3000 health, enough to serve as a main tank. The new hero’s attributes would be ”averaged” and become mediocre.

This was a difficult choice.

But Lin Feng’s gaze pierced through the attribute reduction, seeing a deeper, incomparable advantage.

He was only one person.

In any battle, he could only control one hero unit. This meant that no matter who he chose, the powerful skills of the other hero would only be relegated to spectating from the sidelines.

But what if… they were merged?

An all-powerful War Lord who could summon troops, self-heal, instantly become invisible, and unleash burst assassination.

This was no longer a simple 1+1=2, but a qualitative change on a tactical level!

“Risk and opportunity coexist, and I have never feared risk.”

Lin Feng’s eyes sharpened like blades in an instant.

“Confirm, merge!”

Boom—!!!

The Hero Altar trembled violently, and the two hero phantoms were drawn from the altar by an irresistible force, colliding with a roar in mid-air!

This time, it was not a simple energy fusion, but a clash of wills between a king and a queen! Berserk fighting spirit and deadly calmness, two diametrically opposed forces fiercely tore, devoured, and merged!

Finally, with a deafening roar, all the light suddenly collapsed inward, transforming into a brand new, more solid figure radiating monarchical dominance, slowly descending to the center of the altar.

It retained the Barbarian King’s burly physique but donned the Archer Queen’s light, dark leather armor, appearing both powerful and agile. Behind it, a gleaming great axe and a war bow made of dragon bone were crossed and perfectly coexisted.

Synthesis successful! You have obtained the legendary hero — War Lord!

Lin Feng immediately checked its attributes.

Hero: War Lord (Level 10)

Attack: 300 ((200+400) x 50%)

Health: 2000 ((3000+1000) x 50%)

Skill: Rage (Active, Inherited)

Skill: Cloak of Invisibility (Active, Inherited)

Special Mutation! This unit has awakened a new skill: Close Combat Stance (Active)!

Close Combat Stance: The War Lord puts away his war bow and draws the great axe from his back. He switches to a melee unit, his attack range becomes close combat, but his base attack power doubles! (Cooldown: 1 second)

Lin Feng’s pupils suddenly contracted at this terrifying stat panel!

Perfect! This was beyond imagination, perfect!

Although his base attack was only 300, the existence of Close Combat Stance allowed him to instantly transform into a terrifying melee demon with 600 attack when needed, even more violent than the original Barbarian King!

And the combination of Cloak of Invisibility and Rage gave him infinite tactical possibilities. He could activate Rage to summon minions, then immediately go invisible and disengage from the battlefield, letting the cannon fodder absorb damage; or he could approach enemy backlines invisibly, then activate Rage, and use doubled attack power for an instant beheading!

This was, in the true sense, a master of the battlefield!

He turned his gaze to the barracks.

With a Level 7 Town Hall, the barracks population cap increased to 150. At the same time, two new troop types were unlocked.

Giant: Melee unit, occupies 5 population.

Trait: High Health — Prioritizes attacking defensive towers.

Training Cost: 80 heavy oil.

Mage: Ranged unit, occupies 10 population.

Trait: Magic Damage — Attacks deal magic damage to enemies in an area.

Training Cost: 100 heavy oil.

Lin Feng’s eyes gleamed. The Mage unit finally introduced a troop type with magic damage, which compensated for the current lack of magic output in his forces. And the Giant was a pure defensive tower killer.

What he wanted was extreme fusion! A mutation that defied logic!

“Train Giant x4.”

heavy oil x320 consumed.

Four enormous Giants, their skin glowing with an earthy yellow luster, appeared on the barracks training ground.

“Synthesize!” Lin Feng’s will, like a precise command, locked onto them.

Buzz—!

The four Giants collided with a roar, letting out muffled growls. Their muscles bulged, their bodies swelled again, and their skin, as if infused with steel, took on an indestructible dark red hue.

Synthesis successful! You have obtained the Epic Troop — Lava Giant!

Lava Giant

Quality: Purple

Population Occupied: 20

Health: 3200 (800x4)

Attack: 200 (50x4)

Trait: High Health — Prioritizes attacking defensive towers.

Trait: Self-Destruct — Deals 200 magic damage to all enemies in a small radius upon death.

A barely perceptible flicker of wild joy ignited in Lin Feng’s eyes.

Three thousand two hundred health! Two hundred attack! Even more critically, Self-Destruct upon death! This was simply a mobile war machine, a perfect battering ram!

However, what excited him even more was the strange, hellfire-burning rune that quietly appeared beneath the Lava Giant’s feet as the last glimmer of light faded!

Special Mutation! This unit has awakened a special skill: Hellfire (Passive)!

Hellfire: The Lava Giant’s attacks will additionally apply a burning effect, dealing 10 magic damage per second for 5 seconds, and the damage can stack!
