National Tower Defense Survival: Start Awakening Fusion System

28: The Mad Blade falls, the Ice Maiden surrenders! For the sake of the Seven Books, a killing spree begins!Lin Feng ended the battle cleanly and decisively. The moment his consciousness returned to his fortress, a blood-red system announcement immediately flooded the public channel of the 8888 War Zone.

System Announcement: Lord ”Heaven’s Choice” (S-rank - Infinite Fusion) has defeated Lord ”Fiery Mad Blade” (S-rank - Fiery Slash) in a deathmatch. The fortress has been destroyed, and the lord has been eliminated!

If the Little Devil’s continuous slaughter was like dropping a nuclear bomb into a calm lake, causing immense panic and despair,

then Lin Feng’s understated announcement was like a silent fuse, instantly igniting the already precarious string of ”order” in the hearts of all survivors.

”Holy crap!”

”Holy crap!”

”Holy crap, is Heaven’s Choice not playing around anymore? Are they already killing each other?”

”Aren’t barracks only unlocked at a Level 5 Town Hall? How did Heaven’s Choice level up so fast? It’s only been a few days!”

”Doesn’t the defender get a 200% attribute bonus? How could an S-rank Heaven’s Choice defeat Fiery Mad Blade, who has a talent of the same rank? That’s not logical!”

”Damn it, this world is too cruel! First, that Little Devil massacred SS-ranks, and now even S-ranks are killing each other! How are we small fries supposed to survive!”

The entire regional channel was like a second nuclear bomb had been dropped, stirring up even greater waves than before. Those survivors who were still immersed in the fear brought by the Little Devil were now completely shattered of their last illusion of ”peaceful coexistence” by Heaven’s Choice’s actions.

Lin Feng looked at the words surging in the channel, a cold arc forming on his lips.

Noise. Meaningless noise.

Anger, fear, despair—these were the emotions of the weak, things he had long since discarded.

This was inherently a world where the strong preyed on the weak. From the moment the game began, he had already grasped its essence. The system’s PVP mechanism merely revealed this cruelty mercilessly to everyone.

As expected, someone was soon provoked.

”Brothers, I’m sorry! Rather than waiting to be treated as a resource point by others, I’ll strike first! If I don’t get stronger, I’ll be the next one to die!”

This statement, like a sharp blade, instantly cut through everyone’s hypocritical masks.

Immediately after, dissenting voices emerged in the channel.

”Holy crap, are you still human? How could you do such a thing! Destroying other people’s fortresses here will really kill people!”

”Exactly! Shouldn’t we be working together to resist the monster waves? Why should we kill each other within our own kind?”

However, these statements full of moral condemnation and naive fantasies were quickly drowned out.

Because the avatars of the people who made these statements dimmed, one after another.

System Announcement: Lord ”XXXX” has been defeated by Lord ”XXX” in a deathmatch. The fortress has been destroyed, and the lord has been eliminated!

System Announcement: Lord ”XXXX” has been defeated by Lord ”XXX” in a deathmatch. The fortress has been destroyed, and the lord has been eliminated!

Blood-red announcements, like the judgment of the god of death, continuously flooded the channel.

Most of the SS-rank and S-rank talent lords began to actively attack players with A-rank, B-rank, or even C-rank talents. The powerhouses who were at the top of the leaderboard had previously chosen to observe due to the PVP rule of ”difficult to break through same-rank opponents.” But when Lin Feng broke the myth of ”S-ranks being unable to kill same-rank opponents” with his Heavy Armored Boar Elite and Healing Spell, they too, as if a Pandora’s Box had been opened, turned their gaze towards those weak, defenseless ”resource points.”

”It seems they’ve understood as well,” Lin Feng said, glancing at the channel, his eyes showing no ripples.

The crushing of A-rank and B-rank players by SS-rank and S-rank talent users was a stark reality. The 200% attribute bonus for defenders was meaningless to those weaklings whose talents inherently had a class gap or who simply didn’t understand ”special tactics.”

They were merely walking gold coins and heavy oil in the eyes of the top predators.

Lin Feng closed the regional channel. To him, the meaningless noise and struggle were just background sound.

His gaze fell upon his own panel.

Gold: 18200

heavy oil: 10000

He was still a little short of the 20000 gold coin target for upgrading to a Level 7 Town Hall.

He needed more ”starting capital.”

Lin Feng’s mind once again sank into the blood-red PVP area, his cold gaze, like that of the god of death, searching the leaderboard for his next prey.

Soon, an ID entered his sight.

Ice Witch (S-rank - Icebound Thousands of Miles)

Talent Trait: All defensive tower attacks come with powerful slowing and freezing effects. The hero possesses an area-of-effect Blizzard skill.

This was a pure control-oriented talent. For any lord relying on troop charges, this was a nightmare. Once caught in the endless slowing and freezing, even the most elite troops would be kited to death.

”Control-oriented, huh…” A cold arc formed on Lin Feng’s lips. ”Too bad, my battering rams never need to charge.”

He quickly trained eight Boar Riders in the barracks, and with a thought, he synthesized them into two groups of four.

Boar Rider x4 + Boar Rider x4 = Heavy Armored Boar Elite x2

At the same time, he replenished the Goblins he had lost in the previous battle.

He wanted to ensure he had at least two ace units capable of executing his core city-breaking tactic.

After doing all this, his finger accurately tapped the ”Deathmatch” button next to the Ice Witch’s ID.

The moment the battle began, Lin Feng did not rush like before.

He controlled the two Heavy Armored Boar Elites, keeping them far on the edge of the battlefield, not committing them to combat immediately.

On the other side, the Ice Witch was clearly an experienced veteran; she showed no carelessness, immediately activating her hero skill, Blizzard. A fierce snowstorm mixed with ice crystals instantly covered a large area in front of her fortress, forming an insurmountable death zone.

Any unit stepping into it would be continuously slowed and had a high probability of being frozen in place.

Her defensive towers were all Frost Arrow Towers and Frost Mage Towers, maxed out with slowing effects, forming a perfect control chain with Blizzard.

Lin Feng controlled his hero and Goblin troops, feigning charges and retreats at the edge of the Blizzard, perfectly playing the role of a reckless brute countered by control skills.

Seeing this, the Ice Witch couldn’t help but reveal a cold sneer.

”Foolish melee-oriented, in front of my ice domain, you don’t even have the right to approach me…”

Her words were cut short, and the cold sneer on her face instantly froze.

Because she saw the two war-beast-like boars, which had been circling the edge of the battlefield, suddenly move!

They didn’t charge into the Blizzard but instead took a huge arc, from the outermost flank of the battlefield, a corner where her defenses were weakest, and in a way she couldn’t comprehend, they charged directly towards her city wall!

The ”Ceasefire” trait meant their eyes were only on buildings!

At the same time, they leaped onto the city wall!

And that position happened to be the blind spot at the edge of the Blizzard’s range!

”No!”

The Ice Witch’s soul nearly left her body. She hastily redirected the attacks of all her Frost Towers, attempting to focus fire and instantly kill the two boars.

However, the Boar Elites’ high health of 2000 made her control-oriented, low-damage Frost Tower array appear so powerless.

Even if they occasionally froze the boars once or twice, it was futile; the boars instantly tore through her defenses.

By the time her hero, the Ice Witch, arrived belatedly, the two Heavy Armored Boar Elites had already crushed her Frost Tower positions into a pile of sparkling ice shards.

Without the control chain, what remained was a one-sided slaughter.

Congratulations on winning the deathmatch! You have obtained spoils: Gold x3000, heavy oil x1000!

The gold was enough.

But Lin Feng didn’t stop.

His gaze fell upon two trembling A-rank talent players.

Sharpshooter (A-rank - Cloud-Piercing Arrow): Hero has extremely long attack range and very high damage.

Stone Skin (A-rank - Solid Body): All building units and troop units gain additional armor.

For these two, Lin Feng didn’t even bother to devise complex tactics.

To deal with Sharpshooter, he directly activated Healing Spell, letting his Goblin Thrower squad engage in a shootout with the opponent’s hero. Under continuous healing, the opponent hero’s high single-target damage became a joke.

To deal with Stone Skin, that bit of armor was almost negligible compared to the Boar Rider’s high attack power. The Boar Riders alone were enough to take out the opponent directly.

The two battles combined didn’t even last more than five minutes.

You have obtained spoils: Gold x1000, heavy oil x500!

You have obtained spoils: Gold x1500, heavy oil x500!

”What poor guys,” Lin Feng clicked his tongue, already somewhat looking down on this level of income.

But accumulation adds up.

At this moment, his resource panel had reached an unprecedented peak.

Lin Feng took a deep breath, a nearly insane glint flashing in his eyes.

He knew the moment to truly widen the gap had arrived.

He reached out his hand and touched the golden button on the virtual interface.
