Madam’s Identities Shocks the Entire City Again

Chapter 3822: This Punishment is Too Heavy

“The Empress exists to prove the reclusive families’ glory and splendor. If this Empress is not only unable to act as a good mascot, but also brings trouble and disaster to us, as one of the elders of the Privy Council, I must stand up and speak up for the families below.

“I demand that the impeachment mechanism of the Privy Council be activated to impeach the Empress.

“If she doesn’t know how to be a leader, she has to step down from her position.”

He could be said to have crossed the line.

Elder Xue was shocked. However, he did not immediately object like before.

Elder Xue was silent before he said weakly, “Impeaching the Empress is not a small matter. Let me think about it.”

Quentin squinted at him. “I’m not discussing this with the conservatives. If you disagree, our neutral party will initiate the impeachment procedure.”

Elder Xue suddenly glared at him. “You’re bent on impeaching the Empress.”

“Of course.”

Quentin had always been valiant and did not hide his thoughts. He met his gaze, and sparks flew in the air.

“She doesn’t deserve this position. She should give it up!”

“You…”

Elder Xue’s heart was in a mess.

He also felt that Nie Qingru had gone too far this time by willfully placing herself in danger and forcing everyone from the reclusive families to interfere in the dispute in the illegal district.

However, impeaching the Empress was not a small matter.

Back then, Nie Qingru had made a huge sacrifice for the reclusive families, sacrificing her marriage and only daughter…

As long as these contributions were still there…

Elder Xue would feel that this punishment was too severe!

Just as he deliberated whether to speak up for Nie Qingru…

Luke, who had been silent the entire time, suddenly interrupted and looked at him apologetically. “I agree with the archbishop’s suggestion.”

At this point, two of the three factions of the Privy Council had stood up.

Elder Xue understood that his own opinion was no longer important. According to the Privy Council’s rule, where the minority obeyed the majority, he had no right to refuse.

He calmed down and gave Nie Qingru one last try. “No matter what, let’s wait for the Empress to return from the illegal district.”

“Sure.”

Quentin also understood that since the Empress was not in Continent M, it would be meaningless even if they immediately started the impeachment process.

He agreed readily.

Elder Xue felt a little disappointed and frustrated upon seeing that the matter had been settled just like that. It was not good to show it in front of others.

He stood up and said with a sickly voice, “I’m not feeling well, I’ll take my leave first.”

The conservatives stood up to see him off.

“Elder Xue, let me accompany you.”

“Elder Xue, let me go call a taxi.”

The green-robed old man did not speak the entire time. He maintained his last bit of dignity as he left the council hall.

When his back view disappeared, Luke retracted his gaze and looked at the uninvited guest who had barged in. He straightened his attitude and asked respectfully, “Archbishop, I want to ask you something. Is it convenient?”

“Speak.” Quentin stopped tidying up his robe and turned to look at him.

Luke hesitated before asking, “Does she have anything to do with what you said about the illegal district?”
