Madam’s Identities Shocks the Entire City Again

Chapter 431 - She Had Guts

He seemed to have seen this girl somewhere before.

But he couldnʼt remember where at the moment.

Standing in the middle of the classroom, Qiao Chen greeted the teachers present. ”Good afternoon, teachers. Iʼm Qiao Chen from… Fifth High School. Iʼm in my Third Year this year and would like to enroll in the Music Faculty.”

Upon mentioning Fifth High School, her eyes flickered with some humiliation.

The only decent school in Rao City was First High School. She had been studying there since her First Year but was forced to transfer out of it because of Qiao Nian. Now, she even had to introduce herself as a student of Fifth High School. How frustrating..

The good thing was that Qiao Nian didnʼt make it into Qing University.

Standing in the center of the classroom, Qiao Chen felt that she was being looked at from all sides. This actually made her feel better.

Cheng Wu did his part by introducing her to Nie Mi. ”Master Nie, I think this student is pretty good. Her document states that sheʼs already passed Grade Eight for piano, and she did well in this examination. Sheʼs a talent to be nurtured, would you consider taking her in?”

Nie Mi came only for Qiao Nian. Upon hearing that, a look of frustration flashed on his face. He coldly put down the document in his hands and said, ”Iʼm not the one in charge of enrolling students for the Music Faculty, and I donʼt know much about the piano. If I take her in, what am I to teach her, the konghou?”

Qiao Chen was Grade Eight for piano, not for konghou!

Cheng Wu was at a loss for words at his rebuttal. But this was Nie Mi no less, and he couldnʼt say anything against him. He simply accepted the curt statements and said as naturally as possible, ”I donʼt mean that, please donʼt get angry, Master Nie. Ah, take it that I didnʼt say anything. Donʼt take it to heart.”

He turned to look at Qiao Chen with some regret.

This Qiao Chen had pretty good grades and was the girlfriend of his good student. Since Nie Mi was around, he thought he could help her out.

But Master Nie wasnʼt into it.

It wasnʼt a surprise, though. Everyone knew that Master Nie had an eccentric temper and wouldnʼt take in any apprentice so easily.

Qiao Chen… was short on luck!

The teachers from the Music Faculty asked her a few technical questions about piano and music, and Qiao Chen answered all of them well and eloquently. The teacher in charge of enrolling students for the faculty kept nodding, and even circled her name on the list, then said, ”Alright, you may take a leave first and wait for your results.”

Qiao Chen was sharp enough to notice that her name had been circled. She knew she had been selected.

Evidently happy, she bowed and thanked them. ”Thank you, teachers!”

”Mm.” The music teacher was very happy with her and responded kindly, ”You may leave first and get the next student to come in.”

Qiao Chenʼs eyes flickered as she bit her lip. Her main goal today wasnʼt to enter the faculty but to impress the revered Nie Mi. She hadnʼt even achieved that goal yet, how could she leave just like that?

She looked around the classroom, with her feet together and a CD in her hands. She said a little nervously, ”Well, Teacher…”

The music teacher liked her and did not get angry when she did not leave. Looking at her, she asked, ”Is anything the matter?”

Qiao Chen took a deep breath and bit her lip before starting. ”I heard that Master Nie is here today. I-I want to let him listen to my work. I wonder if I have the honor of getting Master Nieʼs feedback.”

She really had the guts. Even Cheng Wu was surprised. He never expected her to namedrop Nie Mi in front of all the teachers.

Just this courage alone was enough to get the attention of several teachers there.
