Supreme Parasite: Becoming a God Starting with Parasitizing the School Beauty

6: Chapter 6 Freshman RegistrationYe Qingzhu had already realized this point.

Because she had seen the scenery outside the Old City District—even if it was only a distant glance—she had already developed immense curiosity and anticipation for the world beyond.

Especially after hearing about Sky City, she couldn’t help but look up at the sky outside the window.

Amidst the pure white clouds, a shadow loomed indistinctly; that was Sky City.

It was a city that even Awakened Ones yearned for immensely.

The rulers of this world lived there.

It was the City of God that countless people dreamed of visiting.

There were many legends regarding Sky City; some said it was a city built by gods, and only the descendants of gods were qualified to live there.

Others said it was a hub leading to the universe.

All sorts of legends revolved around how beautiful and miraculous it was.

Ye Qingzhu had also once had beautiful dreams of going to Sky City.

But that was merely a dream.

She knew deep down that it was impossible for her to ever truly have a chance to enter that place.

But now, Liu Mei was telling her that she had a chance to enter Sky City.

This gave her a massive goal.

“How can an Awakened One enter Sky City?”

Ye Qingzhu took the initiative to ask.

Upon hearing this, Liu Mei immediately pointed to a blurry, giant tower in the distance and said, “If an Awakened One wants to enter Sky City, they only need to climb from the Surface to the very top floor of the Trial Tower!”

After hearing this, Ye Qingzhu subconsciously replied, “Is it that simple?”

However, her response made Liu Mei and the other two burst out laughing.

“Simple?”

“You’re telling me climbing the Trial Tower is simple?”

“Haha, this is probably the funniest joke I’ve heard in my life.”

“The Trial Tower has a total of 999 floors. Let me tell you clearly, my current strength level is D-rank, and my highest climbing record so far is the 20th floor!”

“And you’re telling me climbing the Trial Tower is simple?”

Liu Mei looked at Ye Qingzhu with an expression as if she were looking at a fool.

After hearing the explanation, Ye Qingzhu once again showed an embarrassed expression.

Previously, it was because she didn’t know the specific situation of the Trial Tower and thought she only needed to climb a tower to enter Sky City.

Only now did she realize that the Trial Tower was actually so difficult to climb.

“Every Awakened One longs to climb the Trial Tower, but everyone knows clearly how terrifying it is.”

“Trust me, you will soon become one of the many climbers, and then you will know how hilarious what you just said is.”

After Liu Mei finished speaking, she gazed into the distance and fell into a rare silence.

Seeing this, Ye Qingzhu said no more and also chose to remain silent, quietly observing everything outside the window that was extremely fresh and new to her!

...

Half an hour later, the car entered the central area of Rainbow City.

After entering the central area, Ye Qingzhu was once again shocked.

“Is this the core area of Rainbow City? This is too... miraculous!”

Ye Qingzhu exclaimed in wonder.

Because at this moment, what appeared before her eyes was a highly developed civilized city.

Aerial tracks, maglev cars, amphibious vehicles, anti-gravity skateboards...

Everything here was something she had never seen in the Old City District; it was as if they were living in two different eras of civilization.

As they entered the central area of Rainbow City, the car’s speed immediately dropped to a normal level.

Because there were simply too many cars around—not just on the ground, but even in the air.

Ye Qingzhu was like a curious baby, staring at everything around her.

Finally, just as her eyes were getting dazzled, the car pulled up in front of a giant palace.

“We’re here. This is the Supernatural Management Association headquarters. Get out!”

Liu Mei was the first to get out of the car, her eyes fixed intently on Ye Qingzhu.

Ye Qingzhu quickly got out and followed closely behind Liu Mei, afraid she might get lost.

If Liu Mei really left her here, she truly would lose her way.

Leaving the parking lot, the surrounding crowd grew denser.

Ye Qingzhu discovered that the people here were of all sorts.

There were people with human bodies and beast heads, people with human heads and beast bodies, and even people with three heads and six arms.

Clearly, they were all Awakened Ones; of course, there were also many people who looked perfectly normal.

Judging by appearance alone, it was difficult to distinguish whether they were ordinary people or Awakened Ones.

At this moment, Liu Mei suddenly spoke up in a scolding tone:

“Don’t look around blindly. This isn’t the Old City District. Here, even a single glance could bring you a fatal disaster!”

Ye Qingzhu was horrified.

A single glance could bring her a fatal disaster?

Were the people here so tyrannical and unreasonable?

Liu Mei obviously knew what Ye Qingzhu was thinking and spoke again: “How can the management system of your Old City District compare to the core central area of the entire Rainbow City?”

“The hierarchy in this place is a hundred or even a thousand times stricter than in your Old City District.”

“In this place, strength determines your status rank, and status rank determines everything!”

“Those with a higher status rank have the right to command those lower than them; it’s even common for people to lose their lives because of it.”

“So remember this well: the first rule of survival here is to not look at what you shouldn’t see, not meddle in what you shouldn’t manage, and that your own life is the most important thing.”

Looking at Liu Mei giving such earnest instructions, Ye Qingzhu could only nod obediently.

In fact, she had also noticed that Liu Mei and the other two, who were incredibly arrogant back in the Old City District, were now like three well-behaved children, walking with their heads down in silence, acting so obedient it was almost unrecognizable—not a trace of their previous arrogance remained.

...

The group of four walked silently for a few minutes and finally entered that giant palace building.

The lobby was very crowded, including many people like her who were peering around with the look of a complete novice.

Clearly, these were all newly Awakened Ones brought back from various places.

Liu Mei led Ye Qingzhu to a service window. Without any warning, Liu Mei pulled out a badge from her person and handed it over.

After a short while, the badge was returned. Upon receiving it, a joyful expression appeared on Liu Mei’s face, and she looked at the other two, saying, “Great, there are 600 points. We can each get 200 points.”

Hearing this, the two men were also extremely happy.

Their expressions toward Ye Qingzhu became a bit more friendly.

Then, Liu Mei took another careful look at Ye Qingzhu and said, “It seems the ability you awakened is even better than I imagined. The Association actually gave such high points as a reward.”

Ye Qingzhu showed a puzzled expression.

Seeing this, Liu Mei explained: “Normally, the mission to bring a newcomer back to the Association pays at most 500 points, and for poorer ones, even just 100 points.”

“Yet you were worth a full 600 points, which shows the Association’s recognition of your awakened ability.”

“Perhaps in the near future, we might even become partners!”

After speaking, Liu Mei patted Ye Qingzhu’s shoulder and leaned in to whisper in her ear: “Be careful, especially of those stinking men. I mean... all of them!”

Ye Qingzhu was stunned and looked at her in surprise.

To be honest, Ye Qingzhu had really detested her before, thinking she was very fierce and malicious.

But after coming here, she realized that it wasn’t that Liu Mei was naturally malicious, but rather that living long-term in such a dog-eat-dog, vicious environment had naturally given rise to such a personality and attitude.

“Okay, I’ll remember. Thank you!”

Ye Qingzhu said sincerely.

She now had a slightly changed opinion of Liu Mei.

Hearing this, Liu Mei raised an eyebrow at her, then turned and walked away, swaying her snake-like waist.

“Our task was to bring you here. The rest is up to you.”

Ye Qingzhu didn’t say much after hearing that, only watching them leave.

After they left, she turned to face the service window.

The service window was very high; with her height of nearly 1.7 meters, she could only show half her head above the counter, and she could only see a male staff member sitting inside.

“Hello, my name is Ye Qingzhu. I’m a newly Awakened One who just awakened today, here to register my personal information.”

Ye Qingzhu said in a crisp voice, then handed over her resident ID card.

The staff member took the ID card indifferently and quickly processed her registration.

After finishing, he said to Ye Qingzhu: “Personal information registration complete. Please move to the blood collection window next door!”

Ye Qingzhu took back her ID card and stepped toward the blood collection window.

Next, she went through blood collection, a demonstration of her Supernatural Ability, and signed a large stack of documents before finally receiving a paper envelope.

Ye Qingzhu opened it and saw only three things inside.

One was a feather-shaped badge, one was a black ring made of an unknown material, and one was an in-ear earbud.

She knew about the badge; it was the identity proof that every Awakened One would have. It also functioned as a bank card—for example, points were stored inside the badge, and for daily consumption, one could just swipe the badge for points.

As for the ring, it was Ye Qingzhu’s first time seeing one, but she knew what it was.

A Storage Ring!

Liu Mei had told her about it.

Every newly Awakened One would receive a Storage Ring issued by the Association, which required a binding process.

Immediately, Ye Qingzhu picked up the ring, slid it onto her right index finger, and gave it a gentle turn.

She immediately felt something inside the ring prick her, and the ring instantly emitted an imperceptible glow.

Following that, she felt her consciousness connect to a strange space.

The area of the space wasn’t large—four meters in length, width, and height—roughly a bit larger than a single room.

It was empty inside, with nothing at all.

The in-ear earbud was a communicator.

It had functions like calling, positioning, and virtual sensing.

With these three things, she was now considered an officially registered Awakened One.

Ye Qingzhu put the items away and strode toward the exit.

Coming to the entrance of the Association and looking at the incredibly prosperous city, her heart was filled with excitement!

From now on, she could freely enter and leave this place.

However, just as she was full of anticipation, fantasizing about her beautiful future life, three men suddenly appeared in front of her.

“Hi, little sister. Is this your first time in the Central District? Do you need a senior to show you around?”

Ye Qingzhu immediately became alert and said, “Thank you, but I don’t need it!”

However, the three men instead pressed a step closer, saying with beaming smiles, “No, you do!”
